Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe bathroom was lovely but overflowed a little when showering. Nothing too bothersome.
Sunset view from the beautiful pool. This place is very remote and quiet. It's close to a main road but the rooms are noise-proof and we had a very comfortable stay. We recommend getting a scooter if you are staying here as most restaurants are about 10 min drive away. The place is more of a rented house than a resort or hotel, which we liked. You can get your breakfast on your balcony overlooking the pool with a fantastic view of Mount Agung. Staff was very helpful. We could whatsapp them with any questions and got immediate response.

RomaniaThe hotel is pretty isolated, which is good from a point of view, but not so good from another. There are only a few and only small restaurants nearby, and only 1 in walking distance. Our scooter did not have a mobile holder/mount, which made our life harder while riding. We really recommend installing them. Drinking water is provided only for a fee.
We liked the place with the beautiful view to Bali island (if you are lucky, unlike us, you can also see the Agung mt.) There are only 3 rooms (separate buildings) which gives the guests privacy. The hotel staff provided us with everything we requested for OK price (scooter, transport for example)

PhilippinesWe didn't like the location a little, because its really far from the beaches and cliffs. 25 min to 1 hour to reach your desired spots. But all in all, its all good because we rented a scooter.
We like the location, the view, its so stunning, the staff, namely christelle. She helped us a lot. She told us the beautiful location spots in nusa penida, also the tourist activities(ex. Snorkling tour).

PolandShower needs descaling and this is the only drawback from our point of view.
We enjoyed breathtaking views of the island from this charming villa! Mt. Agung on Bali is visible on clear days :) Villa is located very remotely and you have to be prepared that there is lack of shops and restaurants near by. But you can order food with delivery :) Rooms are in good standard with AC. Check in is done remotely.

Hong KongWe don’t have anything bad to say about the property.
The property is located very high up on Nusa Penida, in a quiet and remote part with amazing views. We enjoyed the scenery and the pool. The staff were super nice. The room/house is decorated modern style and the bed was super comfy. The communication with the manager was easy and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We rented motorbikes and drove around the island. The scenery is beautiful everywhere, but roads can be a bit scary to drive.

CanadaOur AC wasn’t working properly and the staff did everything they could to make sure we were comfortable. Juliana and Christelle went above and beyond. The only thing that would make this place better is if it wasn’t such a far drive into town.
The view is absolutely incredible and it’s peaceful.

SwitzerlandIf you like a peaceful place in the middle of nature with some intimacy, this is the perfect place to stay. Even if the place is located in the hills, you'll be in 20 minutes by motorbike to the harbor. The view from the bungalow and from the swimming pool is amazing.

GermanyOnly negative aspect is that you have to drive about 25 mins to the coastline where most of the restaurants and activities are located.
Super friendly staff, pool was heavenly. Feels very familiar since there are only 3 bungalows so you can definitely enjoy a peaceful stay here. Amazing view over entire island.

AustraliaNo fridge in the room but you can use the kitchen fridge, first world problems and was the only negative we could find.
Work in progress but spectacular views and staff member Juliana couldn’t be more helpful. Arrived early due to ferry times and had our scooter arranged in minutes so we could start looking around the island before even checking in. Great stuff and highly recommend.

RomaniaIt’s a bit far from the port. Around 40 minutes driving. Also, you need a bike to get around but we knew that from the begging so didn’t disturb us.
The room looks amazing and it’s very clean. The view from the swimming pool is really nice, especially if you want to watch the sunset. The staff was very nice and attentive. We rented a bike from them with good price.

SpainIn my opinion the breakfast was poor. We stayed for 3 nights and they only provide you 2 different simple type of breakfast (scrambled egg with toast and pancake). They should add more options for the breakfast…
The room was clean and comfortable. It’s a really good place to relax and enjoy the views and sunset.

IndiaIt’s the staff’s availability. They are only available in the morning during breakfast. Later in the day, you won’t be able to see their faces at all. Maybe if there’s someone checking in/out, then you might.
The location was pretty scenic. The staff was welcoming. Breakfast was good too and you’ll be welcomed with the Pups around the property. They may also sleep inside your room.

GermanyWhere to start. By far the one of the best locations we stayed in while traveling indonesia! The view, the staff and also the pool are incredible. They organised a shuttle for us, also scooter rental with Katon Hills went smooth! Besides that Staff is really nice and helpful. One we had a problem with the bathroom which they fixed immediately. Also I stepped into Driftwood, they asap called someone from the village to have a look at it (he was a nurse). Feels just like home! Really recommended!
