Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ChileIt was quite hard to find; the sign at the front is too small and difficult to spot at night time. The hallway towards the property is narrow and dark.
The bed is super comfy. The room is big and clean. The aircon works quite well. The staff are friendly and very kind and the breakfast is absolutely delicious!! I had the green pancake and I just loved it!!

Mexico-The main road to access the hotel is not open, so is better to message the owner in advance to let him know your ETA. - will be nice to have a refilled glass bottle of water instead of plastic bottles to be more friendly with the environment
Very friendly owner, the room was very clean and nice, good value for money.

GermanyWe really enjoyed our stay at Eden House. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was super delicious. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed is comfortable. You can reach the homestay from the street by a small alley either by foot or by scooter. It takes round about 5 min by foot. The lighting is not the best. However, the light from the smartphone ist sufficient to pass the alley. Only one small detail could be improved: The hairdryer had so less power that it was useless for drying the hair.

AustraliaThe only thing you need to consider is a walk path to the hotel which is a bit narrow and dark at night. But, the area is safe and we had no issues reaching the hotel, you just need to have your torch on.
Super clean rooms. Very friendly owner. Breakfast was so good, made with local ingredients and super fresh with an amazing view of the rice farm. The owner is happy to take your luggage if you contact them in advance. Highly recommend.

AustraliaMy first time staying at Eden House and what a hidden gem. Perfect location to everthing that I needed, as I walked everywhere. Only 6 rooms and each room had a front and rear balcony, which means excellent air flow and lovely views from the higher rooms. There was a deep bath and a larger shower in the bathroom with lovely touches, such as soap, bath gel and hand wash. A hairdryer was provided which was very handy. Frangipani flowers were a finishing touch after each daily room clean, which was so thorough. Excellent air conditioning was a welcome relief, after a day out experiencing all that Ubud and and surrounds has to offer. Breakfast was a choice and so delicious. Cooked fresh by Kadek and served on the top floor with views across the local rice fields I had a wonderful stay, in Eden House home stay accomdation. Wayan and Kadek, the owners, were both so very friendly and made me feel so very welcome, to stay there. I enjoyed such wonderful hospitality and this accomdation is a credit to them. Looking forward to returning to Eden House next year.

AustraliaFirm mattress so I couldn't get much sleep together with noise from forest. Accepts only cash. For some reason breakfast every morning didn't sit well on my stomach, maybe water...
Great location, and friendly staff. Definitely value for money. Apartment is very clean and has a lot of space. View on the forest and rice fields. The boy that helped us with luggage was amazing and very friendly.

AustraliaWayan and Katek were super friendly and helpful. Wayan spent 30 min talking to us and making a list of all places we could visit. Katek made delicious breakfast everyday and catered super well for my food allergies. The place was super clean, comfortable and well maintained. It is very close to everything so we had so much fun walking around everywhere. I loved that it was a small family business. Tips: bring a torch to walk at night. I found it quite dark on the way back so my torch came in handy.

RussiaThe house and the room are beautiful, with a wonderful garden around. Super clean and comfortable, the breakfast is served on the roof terrace with the rice paddies view and is superb! Also, fireflies come from the rice fields right to the garden and you can watch little magical sparkles either on the terrace or in the garden!

ItalyI wish I could give Kadek's place way more than a 10! The love and the care they put into this family activity is visible in every detai, from the beautiful and comfortable room, to the breakfast. Then the place is located at a walking distance from Ubud city center, but in a super peaceful and green location, and effectively Eden house is just the perfect name to describe it! I absolutely recommend this stay, ans also, you must have at least a dinner\lunch at their panoramic terrace. Kadek's wife is an excellent chef and she made us trying all the best of Balinese specialties, cooked with love and quality ingredients! Thanks again to all the family for this incredible experience of Balinese hospitality!

CanadaWe did notice a bit of mouldy smell in the room when we first got there. Probably inevitable in the humid Ubud weather, but it would have been nice to have it aired out or turn on the A/C for a few hours every day to prevent this.
What a lovely family-owned B&B! This place is exceptionally well managed. My mom and I stayed here for 9 nights and we're so glad we did. Wayan, Kadek and staff were friendly and professional. There was always somebody at the front desk and I felt safe leaving valuables in the room for brief periods of time (FYI, there is no mini safe/lock box). It takes about 3-5 minutes to walk from the main road to get to Eden House, but I sent a message on WhatsApp ahead of time and Wayan drove his motorbike over to help with our luggage when we arrived. Location is perfect. Close to the city centre yet very quiet. We went for daily walks to the ricefield trails nearby (Google Sari Organic Walk and Kajeng Ricefields) and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Lots of great cafes and restaurants on Sari Organic Walk; there's also a yoga studio (Ubud Yoga House). Rooms are cleaned daily. New towels and two bottles of water provided every day. Laundry service is provided at 20 000 IDR per kg.

United KingdomThr property is in a quiet location, but still centrally and conveniently located. The family is extremely welcoming and accommodating and Wayan even did a private scooter site seeing tour with me, which was super kind. Breakfast is fabulous and served on the roof terrace overlooking a rice field. Very idyllic! The rooms are spacious, nicely kept and also providing beautiful views. All in all a great accommodation, which I highly recommend!
