I didn't mind, but just be aware it's far away from the port. If you want peace, this gives you peace. If you want lively evening entertainment, not so much.

Quiet setting on a small private beach. All the rooms are lovely, air conditioned with mosquito nets, (although there aren't that many mosquitoes around) The food is fresh, delicious and a good amount of choice. We ate here every evening and 2 lunches, too! Mixture of indonesian and Italian (pasta). We did a group snorkelling tour organised by Eco Casa and it works out so perfect for us. We met some amazing other travellers on the tour and the hang out with them for the rest of our stay.. The place is well set up to allow you to bond.... but I'd probably say a bit of potluck if you're a solo traveller as to whether you'd be surrounded by couples/ families. We hired a car/ scooter from Eco Casa to go around the island, as you are in a remote part away from the town/port. It was no problem. They supplied amazing towel/robes. And free water tea and coffee. We were two friends staying together, we had the family room which gave us two rooms and some privacy from each other for sleeping. We loved it so much that we extended our stay.

Everything! The staff is amazing, Ester is very focused on details, I've never seen any host so great anticipating guests' needs. The location is beautiful, the food delicious and with so many different possible choices. The activities they propose are very worthy for the price. I loved my stay at Eco Casa.

1. For breakfast, you must make your own coffee, basically you put those coffee powder into your cup and pour in the hot water from the dispenser. I think for the price we paid, you could get a better coffee at least for breakfast to start your day. 2. Not too many loungers available on the beach. Meaning when there was a fullhouse, you won’t get loungers. 3. When we were there, since we don’t ride motorbikes, the property’s restaurant is the only place we eat. Sometimes, it took more than one hour to get our food ready, and there were not many guests in. 4. Salad!! Where are those green salad leaves?? For the price I expected a good salad when I ordered “salad” in the menu. But during my whole stay, I always got shredded white cabbages, and a little shredded carrots. No greeny leaves?? No salad leaves nor spinach, no green leaves, that was unexpected being in a tropical place where you can literally plants all.

1. The private beach is breathtaking and very relaxing. If you like to do snorkeling you will love it. It is also a very relaxing place. 2. The staff was so kind as well as the owners, S & E. They are really kind and very helpful. 3. Nature-oriented place. You can see their efforts to reduce waste. 4. The seafood was so good.

It would have been nice if there was another vegetarian option for breakfast, despite omelette and pancakes (which were great!), for example yoghurt with muesli.

The view from the balcony is amazing, the sunbeds and the private beach are great. The spaghetti were delicious and a nice alternative when you want to eat something else than Indonesian food for once.

Eco casa is located in a dream setting on one of the most beautiful islands we have ever saw. We loved it so much. The arrangement of the bungalows shows you how much they care about every guest but also about the environment. The rooms are beautiful and cozy with outside terraces to enjoy the most perfect view at any time of day. The staff is really kind and the food is excellent.

The only bad thing is that you have to leave eventually.

Eco Casa is located on Barracuda Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on Karimunjawa. The resort is owned by a very friendly Italian couple and beautifully designed. There are about 14 bungalows all facing the ocean. They have a delicious restaurant, organize tours and rent scooters. It is an absolute wonderful experience to stay here for a few days.

The beds could have been more comfortable. Two single mattresses put together is functional for the hosts to aid flexibility but not comfortable for couples.

The resort has private beach with white sand. We really like the beach. The staff were nice to us and the owner were very communicative. The facilities were complete with car rental, boat rental to another island, etc. Food were also great esp the bruschetta, pasta and chips. View from our bungalow was super cool. My kids were totally happy stayed in this resort. Will definitely come back to this resort when we get back to Karimun Jawa. Thank you Stefano and wife for the hospitality.

The shower could use a movable handshower. There is only a fixed, top shower. Some things in restaurant were untasty, like chicken 5 spices or tofu teryiaki. It would be helpful to have the "please clean/do not disturb" hangers for door, as now it is a lottery when someone will knock the door to clean. I would appreciate a coffee machine. Now there is only a ground coffee you can pour hot water on.

The owners are very nice and helpful, helped me organize a taxi, massage, and boat rental, and allowed to borrow a canoe and snorkeling equipment for free. Very close, there are already some coral and fish, enough for enjoyable snorkeling. A but further, but easily reachable with fins or a boat, there is a proper, big reef. Even further (boat rental needed but it is cheap), there is a small island with stunning coral reef. Restaurant food was mixed, but some things were really good, like fried noodles/rice or chicken in coconut milk sauce. Breakfasts were good, especially pancakes. They take ecology seriously, not only by name. They implemented a lot of ecological solutions. Overall, it was a great stay in a nice bungalow and in a lovely surroundings. All the time I've felt taken care of. I recommend it to anyone visiting Karimunjawa.

The island is not that remote as one would expect, there is some scooter traffic and sadly some filthy neighbours.

The property. Grounds are really nice, beautiful and well maintained. Direct access to a peaceful and bright blue sea. The restaurant. Makes great local (had the best Nasi Goreng ever) and some international dishes at very affordable prices. You can get fresh fish daily depending on the catch. The cabin. Really great balcony, well laidout cabin and a very spacious bathroom. Surroundings. The sea was very calm and really warm (visited on February). There are a few piers around to use for going in to the sea at deeper level. Most beautiful coral riefs just on the next small island accesible by a fishing boat in 20 minutes.

The sea is on that part of the island is little too shallow.

We had a great time at Eco Casa Resort. Stephan and Estera are great hosts. Breakfast was included. And the rest of the food on the menu was delicious. Rooms are spacious, extra clean. The entire property is very well maintained. All in all, its a little tropical paradise.

It would be nice to add some cushions to the lounge chairs on the beach.

Beautiful new cottages on a clean white sand beach. Owners were very accommodating and flexible, helping us with everything we needed. Organized a fun snorkeling trip for us that picked us up right on our own beach! Property is on the other side of the island, but we rented a motorcycle from them every day to tour around the island which we loved. The remote feeling of the resort is amazing. Sustainability efforts are a plus as well.

An idyllic, remote and picturesque location within a natural reserve. Every single beach photo looks stunning. The accommodations are built from local materials in an environmentally sympathetic, sustainable way, whilst accommodating to all modern needs. The friendly hosts are amazing. They can support our plans for island hopping, shark viewing, borrowing a local canoe & snorkelling equipment (both free) through to laundry services, extra mosquito protection etc. etc. Excellent restaurant where we ate 3 times a day! They even let us in the kitchen to show us a couple of our favourite recipes, very kind and generous with their time. This is a small scale accommodation which allows you fully relax and unwind in stunning nature.

Best location, the location is not close to the center but thats makes the resort is more calm, more quiet and more relaxing. The resort is on the beach, we can immediately swim and play on the seashore. The property used an unique traditional concept and they used recycles boats for the building materials
