Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumThe host was very kind, friendly and open : it was a pleasure to discuss with him. If you have questions dont hesitate to ask him! The place has a beautiful garden with nice pool that we enjoyed during our stay. The room was confortable and clean. As many other places in Bali, you will need a scooter or a driver. But you can also discover the nature and local people around the villa on foot, we enjoyed talking with habitants as in the badminton club near of the villa.

We really had a good time at Dana Ricefield Villas. The location is unbeatable if you look for a real balinese experience in a less touristic & remote area. We really want to emphasize the good price/performance ratio - good breakfast & nice, tidy rooms for a more than fair price. Romy (host) was also very eager to accomodate all our concern. All in all we only can recommend this place & are already looking forward to come back soon. Thank you!

NetherlandsEverything was great about the property. One general remark for all places in the middle of nature and during rainy season: they are wonderful but at night it belongs to the animals, insects, bugs. But then resting in the room is safe and nice.
Lovely place, with a cosy garden, wonderful view over rice terraces… and a great rooftop with the view of Mt Agung where you can start your day volcano saluting. Owner, Romy, is very nice, helpful, made me feel home.

CanadaThe food was incredible. It is cooked by the owner. We ate at the villa for most meals. The owner Romi is incredibly professional, caring towards his guests, available and understanding. He or his family drove us to our activities which he accompanied us through, commenting with his knowledge. The pool has a beautiful calming view over the jungle. The bathroom and the room are spacious and clean. The villa has an entire garden of bonsaïs, trees and flowers growed by Romi. It is truly mesmerizing.

CanadaAccommodation was comfortable but without excessive charm. The bathroom had a large shower, but overall, it was quite basic. There is no air conditioning, and the solitary fan was not always sufficient.
A good setting of 3 bungalows facing a garden with frangipani, bonsai, and a kidney-shaped pool with chaises longues. The rooms were comfortable and basic, the bathroom too. The location is quite far from Candidasa, so ideally, you need to have transport. There is no restaurant or cafe within easy reach; breakfast is provided, and our host ordered take out dinners for us from a basic menu. There are drinks that can be purchased.

United KingdomNothing.
Quiet rural location. Perfect for getting away from it all. Breakfast was eggs or pancakes, smoothie bowl and Bali coffee, made to order each morning. Robi also whips up a great nasi or mie goreng! Honesty bar with ice cold Bintang. We rented a car at the property (very reasonably priced) and went to Lempuyang temple (about 35 minutes) and the lovely Virgin Beach (15 minutes). Robi has a lovely property. The room was super comfortable and the pool was perfect for cooling off. Love the bonsai trees in the immaculate garden. Great view of Mount Agung from the roof terrace. Robi is incredibly helpful and friendly. If you fancy chilling out this place is perfect.

SingaporeThe rooms could have been furnished a little better. Shower pressure and temperature were spotty, beds ok not super comfortable. NO AirCon, only fan. And brace yourself for the roosters!
I loved the personal feel of this accommodation, it was a refreshing change from the average hotel. Romy, the host, is very friendly and always around to offer anything you may need. We arrived on a local holiday (Galungan day), and since restaurants were closed he offered to make dinner for us. There are only three villas in the compound, so it's pretty quiet and you feel comfortable to make yourself at home. It's also a great place to borrow one of their scooters and drive around the rural roads of East Bali. Plus, you get a good view of Mount Agung from their upstairs terrace!

Czech RepublicNo AC, just a fan. In the middle of nowhere. I would definitely close the holes in the wall from bathroom to the bedroom, because then you have no privacy in the bathroom. Instead of that I would let the windows in bathroom to be open to outside+mosquito nets there.
Very nice and a kind of "fancy" accomodation for Bali. Very nice pool. Rice terrace just behind this place. The owner can rent you the motorbike.

FranceI recommend adding light on the pool for a night swim especially after a long tiring day. The room needs isolation for animal sounds at night.
