Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThere was nothing we didn’t like. Any minor questions we had or things to raise were responded to immediately
The location of Champaca luxury villas is amazing, but it was the service that really made this property second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and they all went out of their way to exceed our expectations with yoga and massages by the pool, a special birthday cake delivery, yummy breakfast and then a packed lunch for the car ride to the airport when we departed. Even prior to our arrival in Bali we received handy information to help us prepare for our trip re visas and customs declarations etc Being slightly out of busy Ubud centre was great because the view from the pool out over the rice fields was so serene and relaxing. A car into town was approx 70,000 Rupiah ($7 AUD) or took a 20 minute walk but the road wasn’t always easily walkable. Kalos restaurant next door was also worth noting, so great to have somewhere with excellent food and drink within easy reach. I would 10/10 recommend and I would happily stay here again in a heartbeat

AustraliaWe loved everything
The property exceeded our expectations. We had a huge villa all to ourselves. A very large lounge and dining area where we had daily breakfast that was cooked fresh each morning. A really beautiful large pool overlooking the rice fields. It was lovely and quiet set back from the main road but close enough to walk to restaurants. Ubud central was a good 15 - 20 minute walk. The bathrooms were exceptional. 🤩. The hosts were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble. A special thank you to Chandra, Danu and Rita for a very memorable stay in Ubud. I highly recommend staying here.

United KingdomNothing really. Plenty of room and everybody had space with a little bit of luxury
Excellent accommodation, just on the outskirts of Ubud town. The centre is within walking distance but if you don't want to walk, try a Grab bike or Grab Taxi. We stayed in the 4 bedroom villa and found it to be truly secluded, off the main road so no noise and every room over looks an expansive rice field. Also, within a very short walk is a small supermarket, a few restaurants and massage parlour. My wife and daughter walked to the nearby 5 star hotel for an afternoon of pampering. Breakfast served every morning with a smile and Rita's (the host) team couldn't do enough for us. Certainly a recommendation, especially if you don't want to be out in the sticks but do want that feeling of being there. Finally, the bath was exceptional, soaking in the huge bathroom, great.

AustraliaGoing home. We spent the morning in the pool devising ways to miss our flight.
Every single thing was great about this stay. The excitement of walking along, turning to corner and seeing the views and the pool and the villa was amazing. The photos do not do it justice! We had massages on-site by the pool, short walk to delicious meals, chandra organised a tour for us. Amazing breakfast served. Water machine in the kitchen. Chandra and the team took such great care of us. Massive villa and super quiet and relaxing. I'm coming back asap

United StatesOur stay at Champaca Villas was nothing short of spectacular. We rented two villas for a group of 12, and the experience exceeded every expectation. The location, just outside Ubud city, was ideal: perfectly positioned to enjoy the vibrancy of local restaurants and tourist attractions while offering the tranquility of lush rice fields. The villas themselves were a dream. The larger villa featured a stunning outdoor living room, dining area, and kitchen, making it an inviting space where we could all gather comfortably. Each suite was a haven of privacy and comfort, and the pool was impeccably maintained, offering the rare delight of swimming alongside the serene beauty of green rice paddies. However, what truly set Champaca Villas apart was the exceptional hospitality. From the moment we booked, the team went above and beyond—arranging airport pickup, reminding us about visas, and ensuring every detail was taken care of. Chandra and Danu made us feel more like cherished guests in a home rather than occupants of a rental property. The four dedicated staff members who managed the cleaning and cooking were equally impressive. Their breakfast spread was so indulgent that we found ourselves missing it even before we left. The only downside to this perfect stay is that it has set an incredibly high standard for our next destination. Champaca Villas has truly spoiled us, and we can't wait to return.

NetherlandsThere was nothing I didn't liked!
After a lively Seminyak, we enter a peaceful villa, with a beautiful view. We loved it! Just by looking at it, you would calm down. When we arrived (by the driver arranged by the villa) the driver made sure people were ready to assist with the luggage and to welcome you at the villa. They explained what was possible and helped with the luggage and assist you with what you need. Perfect!

New ZealandA Gecko was spotted on the bathroom, my partner felt a bit nervous at begining, but I told her, this is part of country living, gecko is friendly to people, no need worry about that. Again, thank you Rita and all staff for looking after us, your spirit of service, sincere attitude to the guests make us feel a better world, and fullfill the meaning of world travel.
As one big fan of Bali, this is our sixth visit to the paradise island. After staying at many different hotels and villas at various levels, we find Champaca Luxury Villas one of the best places we ever stayed, a truly special spot in our hearts. Surrounded by the great nature, the villa is secure, spacious, clean, comfortable with nice rice terrace view. The breakfast is delicious, whole service team are extremely polite and friendly, respond to our needs and requests quickly. There are many good experiences and memories worth to mention here, Upon arrival, Rita, the owner and her team waited us at car parking, warmly welcomed and greeted us, assisted with the luggage, what a smooth arrival experience. From the car park to the villa, you have to walk cross a small lane, around 100 meters, it is short and worthy walk, after that you will find a paradise, away from street noise and crowds. During the stay, Rita has came to check our needs and go extra miles to recommend the restaurants, arrange message and coordinate the transportation. During the breakfast, she also shared us with a special yummy home-made cheese pies.... Upon departure, Rita and her team again helped with luggage, personally escorted us to the car park, a warm farewell to us....My partner said that in our memory we only had this level of service at Four Seasons Resort or Mandapa Ritz-Carlton Reserve. Before Champaca Villa, we stayed at another 5-star luxury villa at Ubud, but after our stay at Champaca, we realised we wasted lots money there there and should come to stay here straightly. Champaca Villa is not perfect like many other places, always has room for improvements, but in our eyes, in terms of people service, nice human touch and value of money, this is definitely the best villa at Ubud. Like many other booking.com travelers, I am very confident to recommend Champaca Villa to all travelers. You can just go ahead to make the booking, stay here without any risk.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Champaca. The villa is tucked away from the busy Ubud town center but is accessible by taxi. The property offers serene views of rice fields, an infinity pool, immaculate rooms, and well-kept communal areas. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well appointed. A hearty, delicious, made to order breakfast including fresh juice was served every day. The host, Rita and her staff, Dhanu, Putu Edy and others were extremely helpful, friendly, and quick to respond. The staff sent us reminders and helpful tips ahead of our trip and even waited late at night for our arrival. Rita gave us suggestions for places to visit and arranged for our transportation, all at very reasonable prices. We were thoroughly impressed by the warm hospitality of Rita and her staff. I would highly recommend Champaca for your next visit.

Property was so beautiful, very close to the centre of ubud but so peaceful. Amazing views over the rice paddies. All ammenities were very luxurious, felt like a 5 star villa. Service was excellent with nothing seeming difficult from the staff such as organising tours for the day at the last minute and laundry. Breakfast every day was a great selection of eggs, banana pancakes, French toast and local fresh fruits. Didn’t want to leave, would definitely return and recommended to anyone staying in Ubud!

We like everything about this place, the owner, the workers, the nice and enjoying villa, clean house, a fully equipped kitchen. The owner of this villa is exceptionally friendly and helpful. She make sure we are taken good care on every aspect, from the time we arrive until we leave. She even take extra effort to provide hotel to airport teksi and ensure we arrived airport on time for our super early morning flight. And she also very thoughtful to prepare our breakfast on our departure date despite super early in the morning. Our 2 kids enjoy the pool playing every evening with spectacular view of paddy field. We will definitely be back again. Thank Rita and staffs for making our holiday a memorable one.

Rita, Danu and their staff were always very helpful (restaurant recommendations, organisation of activities, nice and interesting conversations at breakfast). During our arrival it was raining, they already waiting for us and carried all our luggages. The location was very quiet, far away from all the traffic stress of Ubud centre, surrounded by rice fields. The villa was comfortable with everything we needed, our stay was just perfect. The villa is beautiful, spacious and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable, with clean mosquito nets and were very large. We are a family of five and only needed to use two of the bedrooms and still had plenty of space. The bathrooms are also large, with a great shower and one of the rooms had a beautiful swing amongst plants. The villa is well located, a 5 minute taxi outside of Ubud down a 150m lit path. There is a really good restaurant and bar at the roadside which the staff recommended to us. The views over the paddy fields are really nice and the villa was quiet but with a great pool. The staff are really friendly and perfectly attentive, with a tasty breakfast each morning and fresh juice. If we could relive 3 days again, it’d be hard to beat Champaca. We were able to see Monkey Forest, the coffee plantations, the paddy fields, a fantastic swing place (loads is swings rather than just one) and lunch overlooking the volcano. Champaca really made our stay in Ubud and we couldn’t find any fault, it is perfect.

New ZealandThat we had to leave 😢
We adored this property. Our two bedroom villa was literally set in amongst a rice field. The villa has been thoughtfully designed to allow you to fully open bifold doors to have the breeze flowing through and make you really feel like you’re at one with the landscape. The staff are exceptional. Shout out to Danu, Putu and Jimmy - as well as other staff. Rita, the owner, is a wonderful lady who treats you like her family while you are there. Our daughter arrived unwell and she brought out ‘Rita’s pharmacy’ to get her well - including cooking nourishing food for her. We thank you Rita! The bedrooms in the villa are stunning with beautiful, comfortable and large beds, each with its own bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was expertly made by the wonderful staff - who are a huge asset to this place. The villa is tucked down a little winding lane way where you can leave the busy Ubud traffic behind. If you’re lucky, the gorgeous dog on the lane, Dom, will escort you. The gorgeous Karlos restaurant is at the the top of the lane and serves delicious food, drinks and coffee day and night. At night there’s also live acoustic music.
