Resort is close to a restaurant that does live music every night which will keep you awake when you go to bed before 11pm. Resort is very small so other guests could make or break your stay

You’re not paying for a 5 star resort on the Bali mainland so something like the bathroom was a bit dated but still very functional and fine to use.

Was a great family place to stay. Close to everything and in my opinion the best beach for swimming on the island. Staff were excellent!

A television, kettle and tea and coffee making facilities would have been good but otherwise outstanding

There is nothing we didn’t like!

Such a gorgeous property. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villas each with ensuite and shared pool. The staff were incredible and accommodating. I will definitely return!

Unfortunately it was a little more run down than the Instagram photos show. It was also due a deep clean. Things like dust under the bed and the bathrooms needed a good scrub. In one of the villa bathrooms, the toilet seat was falling off. Unfortunately the aircon struggled in the heat, although it was still a relief from the humidity. The music across the road was loud, but as we were up until 10pm anyway it didn’t bother us and our 2 year old slept through it. One thing that definitely needs rectifying immediately would be the missing and chipped tiles in the pool. My husband managed to cut himself multiple times in the pool, which was disappointing.

We stayed at Castaway for 10 days, and we were very comfortable. The location is perfect in Mushroom Bay, and we had everything we needed. The staff at Castaway are amazing and friendly, and were very considerate of us. The breakfast was great, and although there was no coffee facilities, we were a short walk from Mushroom coffee - the best coffee on Nusa. The beds were so comfy and the pillows were great! Every evening our room was sprayed for mosquitoes too, which I thought was a very considerate touch. The pool was lovely, and the hammock, day beds and sun loungers were the perfect spots to soak up some sun and have a nap! We would stay again

The male manager was quite rude and unfriendly as was one of the female staff members. They made you feel like you were inconveniencing them every time you wanted to order a drink or food. Very unwelcoming which is rare in Bali

A bit of a mix up with the payment as we thought it was going to be taken out of our account before we arrived as stated in our booking confirmation, instead, we had to pay directly to the hotel when we were checking out, so I think Booking.com gave us incorrect information and we could have been advised by Castaway when we checked in this was the requirement.

The place was great but there was loud music across from the hotel that kept me awake. (We are early risers) so it was quite frustrating when we were trying to sleep so something to keep in mind if you’re not someone that likes late nights.

Nothing - everything was perfect.

This was the second time I'd stayed at Castaway and it was a dream, once again! The staff are so lovely and organised snorkelling, boat trips and motorbike hire for us, the breakfast on our front porch every morning was excellent and convenient and the beautiful design of the villas was great. The location is also perfect, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and a short walk from beaches. Couldn't recommend this place more.
