Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandExcellent place. We stayed 4 nights as a family, and we felt like at home. The room is spacious and comfortable, with an amazing view from the balcony to the rice fields and pool. Breakfast as well as dinner options were delicious. They also offer afternoon tea. The garden is beautiful and very well kept, also the swimming pool. All the staff were just amazing. My 3 year old toddler also loved staying here!

United KingdomI loved every thing!
The staff were just amazing! They really looked after me and were so polite, friendly and helpful. The room and balcony is huge, bed was very comfy and plenty of hot water. The view was amazing to wake up to! When staff member heard I was going to Yoga Barn they accompanied me there to show me a short cut through the temple. He took me right to the gate - what amazing service and kindness. It is a beautiful walkthrough the temple, especially early morning and means you avoid the busy streets. The breakfast was lovely - so much choice, so fresh, great service and well presented. There is even a turn down service in evening! Just amazing service. I didn’t want to leave and I missed Byasa and the amazing staff when I did leave! I have already planned a trip back in 2025 and will stay longer. Thank you to all the team!

United KingdomThe staff and service are what make this place special. They are so welcoming and attentive, always available on WhatsApp for any questions and you can easily place orders for breakfast and room service. All the staff are smiling and take an interest in my day. The beds are huge, the showers are good, no bugs. They clean rooms twice per day. The WiFi is strong enough for video calls (only about 10mbps though, in case like me you find this information important). The location is good, walking distance to centre and monkey forest. There is a laundry place at the end of the little road in case like me you need washing by the KG not per item which is all the hotel offer.

RomaniaWe loved the team - we first met Eka who welcomed us so kindly and then all her colleagues who made us feel so good along the 5 days we spent there. We loved the pool - a great way to start our days, we loved the view from our balcony to the rice field and all the greenery, in the garden. Last, but not lest, the breakfast was very good.

South AfricaThe shower was not good, the water spilled into the rest of the bathroom.
This is a great small family run hotel with beautiful views over a rice paddy and pool. The room was big and clean, we had one on the ground floor so did not have to climb any steps. The breakfast was good although one has to order your choice the previous night that I found a bit strange. The location is good but it is on the other side of the town from the street market, it is easily accessible by taxi. Overall I was very happy and satisfied with our stay.

I LOVED my stay here. From the moment I arrived it was perfect. The staff welcomed we with an ice tea, took my luggage to the room while I relaxed. The room was big, very modern, spotlessly clean, nice smell, beautiful decor, luxury bedding! The wifi was very strong even outside in the gazebo where I did some work and took a video call. The free afternoon tea between 3pm - 5pm was a nice touch too, I enjoyed. The breakfast was AMAZING … 3 courses including pancake, omelette, fruit, coffee. They took my order via WhatsApp and adapted the menu to my preference as well as I don’t like certain fruits. WOW. I would highly recommend, thank you for the most lovely stay.

Our booking had breakfast included every morning and it was delicious, along with an afternoon tea. Great location and very quiet. The rooms were very clean and overlooked the pool and rice paddies which were very pretty :) Perfect stay, would definitely recommend this place.

RomaniaNothing to mention, everything was perfect.
Byasa is the epitome of accommodation in Bali: there is nothing not to like here. This is a great boutique hotel in the middle of Ubud with the friendliest staff I've ever met. The location is perfect: in the middle of rice fields, tucked away from the noisy street (so really quiet and peaceful), but really close (walking distance) to everything you need in Ubud. The rooms are spacious and very clean (the staff comes twice a day to change the towels and clean up the room). The room terrace overlooks the rice terraces and the pool. The bed is really big and very comfy. The pool is great and the garden is fabulous, really well maintained and clean. The breakfast (which is included) is really good: the pancakes and fresh fruits are delicious. There is also daily complementary afternoon tea served with traditional Balinese cakes, which you can enjoy in the garden or at the pool. But what makes this place the best accommodation we had in Bali is the people. They are absolutely fantastic, they treat you like family. Always ready to help with anything, always asking how you are and what are the plans for the day, and everything with a smile on their faces! Our 3 year's old son still talks about how nice they were with him :) Definitively the best accommodation we ever had, 10 out of 10! Highly recommend it!

United KingdomThis has to be one of the best hotels in Ubud. Friendly staff who are always ready to help and find out what you want to do for the day. Rooms are massive with a balcony overlooking picturesque rice fields and swimming pool. Located roght near the main streets in Ubud for restaurants, bars and temples. And also hiking trails not too far away. The breakfast every morning (included) was delicious, formed of different courses and we opted for fresh fruit juice every day. Cant stress enough how friendly and helpful staff all are. We are definately staying here again next time we cpme to Bali! 5/5
