Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesNo picture can truly capture the beauty of this place. The hotel is lovely, and although it’s centrally located, it feels like a tranquil, tropical oasis. The beautifully maintained landscape and the serene pool provide a perfect touch of relaxation. The team is wonderfully welcoming, helpful, and super friendly with a lovely spirit :) A special thanks to Fouto :) The room was spacious and clean, with stunning balcony views. The food is incredibly delicious – you must try the fried noodles, orange juice, and pancakes. They’re superb. I definitely will book it again in the future!

AustraliaNot a big issue but the exhaust fan in the bathroom we stayed in didn't work (or we just couldn't figure out how to turn it on)
Polite and helpful staff, beautiful garden, nice rice terrace view, comfortable bed, spacious room. Great, quiet location and was surprised that we couldn't hear the busy street right behind us which was good.

SingaporeStaff: The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I'd like to specially thank Eka and Putu for always ensuring we were well taken care of. From recommending us to watch a special Balinese ceremony that so happens to coincide with our stay to surprising us with a birthday cake. They also helped us arrange last-minute transport. It was especially convenient to be able to contact the staff via WhatsApp. Location: Quiet, short GrabBike ride to central Ubud where most of the eateries are. Nearby restaurants are on GrabFood, so your late night cravings can be satisfied. Facilities: Well maintained, consistent warm showers, free water fountain for refills, beautiful pool and restaurant area. Food: We only had their breakfast. It was decent and filling. You have to let the staff know the night before what you'd like. There aren't many options, but were sufficient for us. Overall an excellent experience that provides great value for money!

United StatesNot much! Great location..close to tourist atractions and quiet despite being close to a busy street.
Right outside of my room was a pool and past that rice paadies. Despite being in town there are rice paddies! While I was there I watched 2 workers replant the fields. The staff are warm and friendly and very helpful.

Hungary-
There isn't a single thing I could highlight as a negative. Pande and the others were consistently smiling, kind, helpful, and communicative. The breakfast was delicious, the service was impeccable, along with the beautiful scenery. The room was sparkling clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Despite being in a very busy location, no noise filtered into the room, not even to the balcony or the pool. There was always very cold mineral water available.

SpainIt was a ground floor room and there were a lot of bugs getting inside. What looked like half a dozen or so baby cockroaches would be inside every time I came back, either crawling around or dying (clearly some poison had been sprayed around)
Location, view, wonderful people working there

MalaysiaSuggestion to have signage at eye level for pedestrians like me. The sign for Byasa is high up on a pole—I guess more for the benefit of drivers. . Just remember that Byasa is a small establishment and set your expectations accordingly. Any shortcomings are more than made up for by the gems that are the staff—anything amiss and they are quick to address them.
Absolutely wonderful staff!! Delightfully helpful—I asked them for directions to Yoga Barn expecting a map, and instead they escorted me all the way on foot early in the morning. FYI, the shortcut takes just under 10 mins with a brisk walk, passing behind a Pura (Balinese temple) and then around a football field (possible to cut across the field, but usually the sun is blazing). . The staff were all young and enthusiastic, and responded to all my requests or queries readily via WhatsApp, which you absolutely must have in Ubud anyway. I forgot to bring a wall socket adapter and they cheerfully loaned me one. . Every night they reminded me to place my order for the next morning's breakfast. Speaking of which, breakfast was simple but filling—just enough to last me for a morning of yoga without causing discomfort doing inversions. . Overall, the property itself is small (9 rooms total) but beautiful, with friendly and accommodating staff. Veg options (Omiiku/Hongalia) and a rather big supermarket (Popular/Pepito) about 5 mins away on foot.

AustraliaGorgeous and quiet hotel in a great location. Close to the main tourist road but round the corner so it’s away from the noise. Rooms were very clean, large generous breakfast and the restaurant meals were delicious. It’s close to yoga barn and the staff can show a short cut. There are only 9 rooms so it’s very peaceful and I often had the pool and outdoor area all to myself. The staff are friendly, responsive and the WhatsApp service made everything easy. Would definitely love to stay again.
