It’s a very peaceful place. During the day you can stay in a hammock and enjoy the view of the hills around. It’s worth to stay here longer just to relax. The place has really good location. If you have a scooter, you can self organize a trip to Bromo from there. It’s around 40 min ride to the Seruni viewpoint parking. The owner is also really kind. He gave me a lot of recommendations for what to see around.

Keep in mind that the secondary street leading to the hostel is in awful condition. It's a short ride of just a few minutes, but be sure to pay extra attention while driving

Amazingl place, clean and surrounded by trees and natural areas. There are multiple toilets and showers, and overall, I found the place to be very clean and well-organized. The bed is comfortable, and I had a great stay—I definitely recommend it. I loved the food; it was the best I had in the Bromo area. The portions were generous, and everything was very tasty. You’ll need your own bike or car, as the Bromo viewpoint is over 20 minutes away from the hostel by drive.

Our only suggestion would be to add more comfortable outdoor furniture to enjoy the beautiful view. There are some cube stools with tables and some lovely hammocks, but the outdoor environment is too pretty to pass up and it would be nice to sit comfortably and enjoy it more. There's also only one sink for brushing teeth etc. but you can also use the water in your individual shower. Besides that, all good

At first we were a little worried because the road from the main road to the camp is quite bumpy and rocky. But once we arrived, all was good. There are cubicle style beds in one building, upper and lower. Each one has a window that opens to a lovely view of the hillside. Each has an individual lamp and power outlet, and are clean and very comfortable. There are six individual showers, so one was always available. The family that owns it will make food and they have bintang beer so you don't have to go out after you get back from your outing. They also made us breakfast to go as we had a long drive the next day. They arranged a tour for us to Mount Bromo the day before, which was late on our part, but they did it. They also found us a driver to take us all the way to the Bali ferry at Ketapang, which we really appreciated. The tour guide picks you up at the hostel for the tour. It was really great value for the money spent, and we would definitely stay there again.

Only thing I can think of is that the sleeping bags in the tent were on the small side, but I'm 190 centimeters, that's not their fault. Also the soap dispensers were often empty.

After an accidental double booking, the host offered me a tent instead of the dorm. It was a good experience, it was very comfortable and easy. You also won't wake up from dorm guests that leave around 2am to go to Bromo. The host is very easy going also. Facilities are all there and the food is tasty too. I would definitely stay here again.

There are no grabs to get to the hostel. It was very difficult to arrive here from the airport.

The staff at this hostel are exceptionally friendly and incredibly helpful! I had a truly wonderful experience during my stay. What sets this place apart is not only their warm hospitality but also their extensive network of connections, which can assist you with a wide range of needs. I stayed in their only room so far and it has 12 beds, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The setup allowed for a comfortable and secure environment. I was able to safely store my belongings, and waking up to a stunning view each morning was a true highlight. The room is well-equipped with all the essential facilities, making for a convenient and enjoyable stay. One aspect that I particularly appreciate is their commitment to providing opportunities for the younger generation in their community. This hostel gives them a chance to work in the field of hospitality, which allows them to improve their language skills and many other things. I would say this is valuable for those who live in a remote areas where such opportunities are scarce. It's heartwarming to see this commitment from the owners whereby they provide a platform for growth. And if you wonder why I stayed here, it is because you can easily get to the starting point for the sunrise from this hostel with a 30/45-minute drive on your scooter (which I rented in Malang and yes, I drove from Malang to this hostel) and then continue your way to Bromo.

the only bad thing there honeslty, there is 500m or so of very bad road from the main road to small path to the hostel

The way from the main road the hostel is a little bit tricky. Mind sharp stones if you come by scooter.

Very clean and modern hostel. Well maintenand. Warm showers if you want. Enough storage boxes for all your staff and a locker box for your values.
