A bit worn down

Its simple but good for price, great banana pancakes and the staff was so nice waiting for us to checkin at 4 am and helped us with all of our organization of transport to Padang - thank you Team! ☺️

1. Very poor Wifi because they use wifi repeater at the villa not the Wifi router. 2. Shower water very slowly and warm water is limited.

Room booking photo are different from what we get. Wifi connection also doesnt work, it has a signal but cant surf anything.. we cant watch the tv either, the connection only stay for few minutes then stuck forever. Water heater also doesnt work well.

For the price, our standard twin room was fine. Note however that all furniture and fittings were very old and worn out.

For the price, was a really good place to stay. Relatively quiet location but close to town centre, very homely look and atmosphere. Great views. Included breakfast was nice. Friendly and helpful staff and owners. Arranged scooter rental at front desk at a good price.

The toilet is very small and water always clog. This place need an upgrade for a more confortable stay.

Love the padi field and the mountain scenary. Nice place if one stay at the Bambo Shack. Else can just cross the road opposite. We love the fried rice and banana pancake for breakfast too. Staff was nice and helpful. They help us make half boiled egg that we bought fm the market.

Guesthouse just outside the city center (15 mins walk). Early check-in was a bonus and the garden (where the breakfast is served) is well kept by the family. The rooms are in a seperate house after some steps. Guesthouse arranged an interesting guide.

I visited during Ramadan and off season and there were no other guests. Which makes the place a bit quiet. Also its just out of the centre. If you're traveling alone I'd suggest you take something more in the centre so you can more easily go to cafes etc.

The host is very kind and made me nice pancakes. He is the only one who speaks English. The room was alright. Nothing fancy. If you have a bit more money maybe book a bamboosa shack.

Arrived late but the check in was smooth. Went there on weekdays so it was not so packed with people. The room is without any fan or aircond but strangely enough it was cold, maybe because its at Bukit Tinggi. Breakfast was delicious. 😊😊

It seems that there is only one person who speaks english. We wanted to get some information regarding the area, but we weren't really able to talk to the available staff. What may look like a pool in the pictures is really not a pool.

It is a clean and friendly place that also comes with a hot shower :)

There was no sink in the room or toiletpaper. Staff is generally transactional.

The fact that we could do a really early check-in (around 06:00) without additional costs was super. The room is small but the bed was comfortable, as well as the hot shower. Also the price is very low and considering breakfast is included, this makes a stay at Bamboosa comfortable.

The beds were a bit hard for my taste. Its also v close to a mosque so be prepared for an early wake up call, I think you’ll probably have this anywhere in Bukittingi though, it’s all part of it. There was a large family staying while I was there, with lots of kids playing in the pool so it wasn’t really peace and quite but that’s ok :)

The staff were super friendly and helpful, breakfast was yum (a little on the small side though). My room and the common areas were clean. The location is great too, short walk to laundry, good warungs and the middle of town.

street noise, not very clean, no sink in the room to wash hands

room is small which is ok for the price but it had a terrible smelling carpet! there are nice gardens around and the breakfast in the morning is simple but good. room closer to the street had a lot of street noise but we were able to switch. some staff spoke English. good value stay and lots of areas to hang out
