We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

CanadaWould have been nice to have a place to hang up clothing but we were only there for a few days so it wasn't a big deal. If we had been there for a long time maybe this would have been an issue.
The island is not very big and it's pretty quick to get around via scooter to where ever you need to go (10-15min). Walking down to Mushroom beach took maybe 5min tops - we had read the reviews prior and were still surprised by how close it was!

Literally 5 minutes to the beach, torch needed when it's dark. The host was welcoming. Breakfast was good. Towels provided and free WiFi. Can't complain for the price.

AustraliaNot an issue for us, but it might be for other guests - one night we had a medium sized lizard come in the ventiltion holes in our bathroom. We trapped it and put it back safely outside, however I understand some people might get upset in this situation. Perhaps it's a good idea to have these holes covered with some sort of net.
Staff was great and friendly. Breakfast is simple but it was ok. The facilities and common areas are quite nice. Room was big and comfortable. Just one minute walk to Mushroom Bay. Good restaurants nearby and some attractions are located at a walking distance. Thanks for the complimentary water in the room and nice touches!

It was close to the beach yet a good price and nice room with balcony and only a few rooms so quite private to work and do my yoga practice. The family were really friendly and gave me water so I didn’t need to use plastic and hot water for tea and let me know about the festivals and tips Wifi was also good as I had to work a bit even in my room it reached

We liked everything. Great staff, comfortable room with hot water in the shower. There is a swimming pool, private parking, convenient location to the beach and sunset points.

United KingdomAircon didn’t work properly during our stay. Rooms smelt strongly of damp and evidence of this in room. Cold shower & very bad for mosquitos. Asked to move room when we first arrived as our room smelt of the bathroom. It is budget but we stayed somewhere for the same price on Penida that was perfect.

HIDDEN GEM!! Great location! 2 minute walk from Mushroom Bay. 15 minute walk to Devils Tear and Dream Beach. Quiet and hidden from the touristy spots so it is perfect for relaxing but close to anything you need to get to! Super yummy Warang right outside (I ate here everyday because I liked it so much). The host and his family are so friendly and welcoming. They also scheduled tours for me, assisted with transportation, and offer massages at the location. Will be returning!

We absolutely loved staying here! The owners were so warm and friendly. They helped us out with everything from sorting a scooter, to booking our snorkelling trip which ended up being one of our favourite days yet. The pool was the perfect way to cool off after a long day exploring the island. The beach really is a 5 minute walk away with lots of gorgeous places to eat and the most stunning views with the bluest water. We felt so at home here, it had everything we needed and we would love to come back again one day. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us!

South AfricaVery misleading location on booking.com. it is not on the beach as advertised. It is quite isolated but still not too far from mushroom beach. Hot water wasn't working, toilet didn't flush and tap in basin had no water.
