Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe drop-off point for taxis is very narrow and hard to get to. At times, while ordering grab, the drivers asked us to walk to the main road from the drop-off point (not at the resort) Then, you also need to call for a buggy to take you from the resort to the drop-off point, which is about 5-7 minutes distance. Usually they're available right away but there was this one time we had to wait 20 minutes and the buggy didn't show up at the pick up point so we had to walk in the rain for 15-20 minutes. It's just a bit of a hassle with the buggy and location, that's all. Otherwise the staff is friendly and it's a nice place overall.
The quiet surroundings and nature. Good service, the breakfast was decent enough. Coffee was good. The massage spa was excellent.

IndiaWe were given vouchers to use during our stay but were not able to use them due to the staff not being clear about their usage. There was miscommunication amongst the staff themselves.

United KingdomThe Garden Bungalows were lovely, but not much cupboard space for clothes and suitcases.
We enjoyed our stay in Ubud. The resort is a little off the beaten track but you can reach the resort on foot or by transfers on golf carts. The Garden Bungalows were lovely and the pool was beautiful. A really relaxing place. Unfortunately we did'nt get chance to try the spa or gym but it all looked nice. We used the restaurant for breakfast which was very good but we dined out in Ubud in the evening. It is easy to get taxis to and from the resort.

ItalyWe stayed in a premier suite, but we felt like the room needed some extra maintenance and upgrading. The walls had some holes in it, as well as some pieces of furniture. Because of this , we had some problems with cockroaches and lizards being in the room.
The location is worth the extra kilometers from Ubud. The resort is nested in a car-free area surrounded by rice fields. Staff is always available and welcoming.

IndiaCar doesnt reach there and the adjacent road is too dark to walk after evening so we have to rely on their buggy. Thats fine though because they run 24 x 7.

The location is wonderful, the staff super nice and the room is in a very nice balines style made with an open bathroom, that's very nice made

SwedenThe prices were a bit excessive and they didn't include taxes. The food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was average. We had a villa close to the rice field and it was a bit noisy sometimes.
The staff was very nice. The facilities were in excellent state. The size of the villa with the private pool was a delight. The location in the middle of the rice field.

United StatesIt is isolated and can only be reached by foot or a buggy since it is down a very narrow road. The resort is very accommodating and will take you and pick you up very quickly but it does add time to every trip to and from the resort.
It was very quiet and serene away from the hustle and bustle of ubud yet close enough to venture out.

AustraliaThe only minor downside was the location as it’s connected by some very skinny roads suited to motorbikes only. The shuttle just about makes it down but you need to be a confident motorbike driver to go back and forth and beware some of the shortcuts are scary rides - about 3ft in width with rice paddies on either side! 15 mins drive to centre on scooter, or 20-30 mins in a car with the traffic. Anyway it is out of the of hotels control and didn’t really affect our stay! The shuttle buggy comes quickly from the taxi point (which has wifi) and is not far.
Such a charming resort! Really has a small, family feel but the quality and service are very commendable for the price point. We revelled in the traditional Balinese decor and landscaping. The main pool and hot pool are both so lovely and well maintained. We had a ground floor room with balcony and it was very spacious and peaceful, comfy bed and tasteful furnishings. We organised a motorbike hire and the Mt Batur hike through Reception and both were of reasonable cost and sorted very quickly. Lastly, we LOVED the included breakfast with the hotel. There were so many options, western and Balinese alike, and all delicious. We never had a better mie goreng in the week we spent in Bali. It was served quite quickly and included fruit, juice, an option of breads and tea and coffee. Would love to come back here.

IndiaI wouldn’t say that I did not like it, but the location is a little bit far, which comes with its own benefits of having the peace enquired, but to get to the main property, you can only use a bike and not a car.
The property is beautifully breathtaking, we were upgraded to a one bedroom pool villa and the staff was ever so helpful and smiling, no matter what the request, this is one of the first places I have stayed at where the staff calls you and asks you to come for breakfast! I think that is personalisation to a different level.
