Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeySince it is in an island, it takes some time to do tourism and reach city center, some 20 mins.
Isolated place at the Island, inside green forest. Good for getting away from the city stress, the island is quite relaxing and interesting. Nice thermal as well.

RomaniaThe wifi worked quite badly, the thermostat didn’t work at all, so it was quite cold in the room during the night. All the restaurants have the same poor menu, about 10-15 dishes overprice. Regarding the included breakfast, if you are a vegetarian or vegan, the options are extremely limited and many products are bought from the supermarket. The food part was really disappointing, I hope they will be more careful in the future.
The hotel is extremely beautiful, with a well-preserved vintage air, the island is extremely quiet with areas where you can walk through nature. The spa consists of 3 pools with different temperatures and about 3 saunas included, everything else is chargeable, including the salt cave. Our room looked really nice. The hotel is worth visiting for the spa area and the beautiful location.

ItalyIt is a bit far away from the city centre. Had to take a taxi to go back and forth since the bus line wasn't so convenient.
The room was spacious and clean. I was staying there for 5 night comfortably and the ambience around are great. Love the spa as well. The thermal pool was a good experience. Decent breakfast, and it is a good price for that service.

The hotel is really impressive, it is old but very well maintained. Bathrooms are renovated and I totally recommend the deluxe room, it's very spacious. The staff was exceptional and the surroundings on the island wow. We are planning to return. Breakfast did not change, but it was delicious.

DenmarkThe aircondition is not working - it was much too warm in the room (33 degree outside during the Day), bad sign to the spa area, tell people that you have to book massage on arrrival (when I tried to book it was too late). The juice at breakfast is really bad - fresh juice would have been much better. Coffee could also be better
Kind employees, Old charm in the reception area, spa included, beds. Nice breakfast and the restaurant is better than people are writing.

United KingdomEverything was just fine.
Lovely hotel. The spa was exceptional. Massage was wonderful. The surroundings were perfect and the location gave everything and more. I chose this hotel based mainly on the spa as I recently broke my wrist. I feel my time spent at Ensana Grand helped immensely with the healing process.

RomaniaThe spa is great, but not necessarily appropriate for children. I was not impressed with the breakfast, but I cannot complain either, it was just in the norm.
The location is great! The room and the view were great. The service was great. I also got an unexpected small gift because it was my birthday - Thank you Ensana for that. The staff was very friendly.

CanadaThe air conditioning was weak but the rooms were still comfortable. The breakfast want always the freshest and the coffee was horrible.
The rooms are large and specious. The hotel has an antic style that is hard to find more a days and it's an adventure in itself. The hotel has an underground connection to the spa which makes it convenient to walk between your room and the pools even in the winter.

HungaryWe called reception from our room numerous times and no one answered the phone, so had to walk down to discuss with them the fact that there was a light flickering in 2 of our rooms which we told reception about but was never fixed, perhaps it was because it was a weekend and the tradesmen were unavailable??? Moral of the story, don't expect reception to answer your call from your room and don't expect all the lights to work as they should in your room. Minor issues, could live with them.
The hotel was lovely, nicely renovated, maintaining an old world, classic feel. The spa facility inclusions were great, it was excellent value, we spent 2 full days in the thermal baths. The thermal spa is the neighbouring hotel the Termal Hotel, which you have to walk across a quiet carpark road to get to, we were able to take our bathroom robes in to the pool area. There is an underground passageway to get to the baths you need to get there in poor weather. We were told that we could use the spa during the opening hours of our check in and check out day from 9am-8pm, regardless of whether we were checked in or not. We had numerous meals in the garden restaurant called the Sorozo, connected to the back of the hotel, which was fabulous. The breakfast buffet was vast with attentive staff.

United KingdomNothing really
Very beautiful hotel in the most prestigious part of Budspest. The island is very popular and emblematic of Budapest so you'll feel privileged to stay in it. Don't be put off by comments saying that it is not central. Budapest buses are amazing and included in your Budapest card, with so many other things, if you decide to buy one (and you should consider it). The hotel itself is amazing, breakfast is very good (we treated it as a brunch)and outdoor sitting area is so nice in summer. We didn't have a chance to try the restaurant as too busy exploring the town, but it is nice to know you it's there. The spa was a little busy at the weekend (like all spas in Buda) but close to empty weekdays. Don't forget the sun terrace, we almost did, lol. Being able to still use it after checking out was great as our flight was in the evening. Rooms are very quiet, air con could do with upgrade but room was cool despite 35C outside. The island itself has so much to offer: walks, running loop, water show, rose/ flowers gardens... If we come back to Budapest, we will definitely book again.
