Main receptionist. I was asking her something at check out and she just turned around and started talking to another receptionist while I was still talking to her. Didn't even bother to apologize after or say excuse me need to urgently tell something to my colleague. Not a behaviour I would expect at a place like this.

Everything was great. Place is beautiful, breakfast excellent, dinner very tasty, cleaning and restaurant staff fantastic. Point down for main receptionist as her manners at check out we're not the best.

Property is very well maintained and clean, yet you could see that they are fighting with some traditional issues that are a result from period decorations. Not a big deal at all but chairs outside on the patio were wobbly :)

We had just one overnight in Karolyi Kasteli, and everything was excellent, staff highly professional, breakfast with champagne was my absolute favorite. In a moment you could really find yourself in past aristocratic times. Gardens are wonderful.

Maybe the lack of an elevator for luggages but its understandable due to the location. The TV was not working, maybe the batteries were old.

Very nice location with friendly staff. Have a walk around the gardens, they are amazing. The restaurant was nice, food was good and the staff was very friendly.

Just the view from the window is very bad. That's based on the castle architecture and is difficult to change it. Or not possible.

We stayed two night and during the first breakfast, most of the food was gone only an hour into serving. We made sure we arrived early the next morning.

Beautiful and scenic location with an arboretum and walking trails around the property. The castle has a quant charm and the newly renovated rooms are a balance of modern.

This is a stunning and unique property. It is absolutely beautiful, luxurious and relaxing. The dinner and breakfast we had were amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

Not enough electric outlets in the room. Food at the half-board dinner not wonderful and too salty (especially the soup). At night, on the west side room I had. all night I heard a machine or generator softly running somewhere outside,

Elegant and beautifully-restored country estate. Fabulous gardens, including a clipped hedge formal garden in the courtyard. Friendly and interesting staff--including the family who owned the estate before the Communists confiscated it and turned it into an orphanage--and who got it back and manage it now. Public spaces are gorgeous, especially the floors: polished stone and terrazzo in the hallways and the wooden marquetry in the dining room. The room I had was big enough and furnished with period pieces or good reproductions.

I enjoyed the deer coming in the night in the garden, the park, the Mitteleuropa atmosphere, the very interesting guide to the castle and the cultural depth of the castle's history. To sleep n a place that had been neglected after the war and fallen into disrepair, to come to live again was manificent.

The restaurant menu is slightly limited to a number of dishes which might be uninviting to some visitors.

Lovely, quiet place, with beautiful surroundings . The estate offers free tours of the castle to those accommmodated on the premises. For breakfast, there is an abundance of food and plenty of choice.

It was difficult to find Reception from parking location in the night especially when it was raining and thunderstorm. There is really needed to put a big sign in the parking lot with the direction towards Reception.

We liked our rooms. they were connected and at the same time separate. It was very appropriate for a family stay. Rooms were quite. Bathroom was clean and tidy.

It is a castle, só dont expect a modern 5* place. We ordered the half board. It is a prefixed menu and quite a big portion. However there is not a big choice and if you are not into meat, gluten or lactose check beforehand so that they can offer you alternative options.

There was no tea or coffee facilities in the room.

Beautiful castle and grounds. We stayed in a balcony room on the top floor - this had a large bathroom, bedroom, and semi separate sitting area (with a single bed if you had a third person). Room was comfortable, quiet and well equipt. We had 'half board' with dinner and breakfast included. Dinner was 4 courses set menu - very satisfying. Breakfast was a cold buffet and a hot meal (eggs/sausages etc) was made to order for each person. The food was good value for money. The grounds and the castle setting were magical. We enjoyed the walk around the lake. Highly recommend!
