It was so hot outside (35°) and the building is so old that I had to let aircon function all day long, even when I was not here. If not, room would have been unbearable. This is not good for energy consumption, thus for the planet. Good isolation of the building is an absolute necessity.

Nice building, far from modern standards. Good breakfast and safe place for bicycle. The room was ok, but would certainly need some refreshment.

We couldn't enjoy the sauna because it would've been started for minimum 4 people and it was only the 2 of us. Somebody left mud and crumbles in the lift early morning and it stayed there all day.

Rooms are very bright for sleeping. Room darkening drapes would be helpful. Also an odd problem - if room beneath yours turned off AC yours would be unable to power on too. One night about 10 pm I came into my room to see this issue. The night guy had to beat on the door of the room below and wake them to get it turned on. Overall though we enjoyed the hotel and the place was quaint and nice. Nice backyard area was nice with playground and adult swing also.

Breakfast and service there was good! Morning staff had one person who spoke English and was helpful and courteous. One individual at night did and was also very courteous and helpful. The other at night didn’t but tried to help as much as possible.

The hostess we checked in at the first night tried to speak English with us, which was really nice. But the moment she found out that my boyfriend speaks Hungarian, she started to ignore me as a guest. When i asked the question in English, she turned to my boyfriend for the translation or to answer in Hungarian. It was rude, to say the least. The second night, i asked the doorman if i could get something to drink and he gave me a direction to a nearby hotel/restaurant. When he noticed my boyfriend, his mood changed and all of the sudden we could get something to drink. It was a very disrespectfull experience. The diner was a very weird experience as well.. If you want a 3-course diner served in 30 minutes, you're at the right adress. The food was, like we say in the Netherlands, being watched of our plates. We took the last bite and WOOOSSH, they took the plate and before you even blinked, you had the next course... We asked the waitress to wait with the dessert, course we wanted to let the starter and main course settle for a sec. She said okay, but within 2 minutes the dessert was served. When i asked about it, the answer was ''the chef already made it'. This resulted in: boyfriend almost gagging at the terras and me being nauseous. The waitress really made sure she was going home in time: we were getting dessert served at 19:15, they close at 20:00.

The location was nice, it was a 5minute walk away from Balaton lake. The room was good, we stayed here for 2 nights. And the breakfast was decent.

to sign a liability sheet for getting a TV remote control upon check in. the quality of the guest room carpet ( more of a office carpet ), the fact that there are twin beds only, low quality of mattress and pillow filling ( laid thru )
