The beds were very creaky. There are a lot of stairs to reach the apartment and the lift was not always working.

The hosts are very friendly and communicate well. They give numbers to contact if any issues- we did not need to contact them during our stay. The location of the apartment is perfect for exploring the city and felt very safe. There are shops nearby to grab food. The apartment itself is very spacious and was very well equipped.

Don't be put off by the shabby building exterior - overflowing bins, grafitti and a name board with no Gabriel Apartment sign were a bit offputting. The stairwell is shabby too, and the lift small and dated. For those who don't like lifts, it is a long trek upstairs to the 2nd floor, however the apartment itself is lovely. I also didn't like having to pay by bank transfer. I assumed before travelling that payment would be deducted automatically as with other booking.com trips. Although the page states Visa and Mastercard were accepted, a bank transfer was asked for. I don't have an online account able to do this, so had to take time off work to visit my bank. Apart from the inconvenience, I was charged £25!

We loved the bright, spacious apartment and the fact we had two rooms made sharing as friends really easy - we could get our own privacy. Loved the separate bathroom and toilet, and the airy kitchen. It was chilly when we were there in April, so we also loved the fact it was warm and cosy! It is also exceptionally easy for sightseeing - metro, bus, tram and major sites are an easy ride. We have recommended it to family and friends!

It was very good location. Not far from metro station, Parliament, shops , Train Station. At the kitchen there was all necessary and it was clean. The elevator, it’s rather rare in old buildings in city center.

The Apartment is in an excellent location-close to Metro, sightseeing bus, 10 min walk to airport bus. The Apartment itself was very clean and had all equipment required. Alexandra was excellent at communicating to us before we arrived and the lovely Anna-Maria met us at the Apartment to show us around and they were available by phone over the weekend if we needed them (we didn't need them!).

The building/stairwell has seen better days and some parts of the flat seem rather bare bones, but those are very small flaws.

Large and spacious apartment in the center of Budapest. Fully equipped for short or longer stays. The host who met us was extremely helpful in explaining how to find anything we needed in the flat and in the surrounding neighborhood, kind and communicative.

Impressive space in a good location

Needing to pay cash on arrival wasn't great (apparently there was a problem with their PoS machine), but they had told me about it well in advance, and I could see from other reviews to expect it, so it was ok. The beds, while comfy, were super squeaky so room inhabitants woke each other during the night on several occasions. The shower was mounted weirdly low meaning that you either needed to sit in the bath to take a shower, or hold the shower head in your hand. Other than that though, it was a nice bathroom.

The apartment was in a good location, only a short walk up from Deak Ferenc Ter (where the airport bus terminates and the main metro station interchange), really convenient for the Arany Janos metro stop, and with there being lots to do and see within walking distance (as well as having various supermarkets nearby) The living room and main bedroom in particular were really impressive and spacious. The second bedroom was much smaller, but still fine with the two single beds. The lady who met us at the apartment and provided the keys was very welcoming and friendly. It was nice to have the bathroom and toilet as separate rooms. Despite the building fronting onto a big busy road, the apartment itself looks out onto a quiet side road, so road noise wasn't a problem.

A small fan needed for the smaller bedroom would be a good addition for use on hot nights.

    - The balcony isn't private, it's just a hallway, but if it would get cleaned and some simple table/chairs would get added it would be great - Unfortunately the dishwasher didn't start

    - Apartment was super clean - Comfy and big bed - Very cosy sofa to chill on - Nice kitchen with everything you need for cooking - Good location, in walking distance to the places we visited

The mattresses in the main bedroom are a bit uncomfortable - the bed is squeeky as well, the air conditioning that is installed in the kitchen was not enough in the weather we encountered in Budapest (38 degrees).

Gabriel Apartment is very spacious which made our stay very comfortable - it's clean and it's got everything you need for your stay, lots of spare towels or sheets and the kitchen equipment. It's located near the centre (walking distance) and despite the central(ish) location it's quiet inside. It's situated on the second floor - there is a lift if you need one.

The apartment is located in a big, old, classic Budapest building, so the lobby, stairs, elevator, and terraces have seen better days. Needs some paint and renovation, but that's not the Gabriel Apartment owner's fault.

First let me say the location is perfect. We literally walked everywhere in Budapest, but when we got tired the buses, trams, and subway were all right there. Second, the apartment is enormous. We were 4 adults traveling together and hotel rooms can feel crowded, but the Gabriel Apartment has room for everyone AND their luggage. Toilet room is separate from the shower room – that's a bonus for a larger group. Washing machine is inside the apartment and of course there's plenty of room to set up drying racks. Kitchen has everything you need to cook breakfast, dinner, or prepare sandwiches for the day and there's a dishwasher too. The property manager was extremely responsive to all our requests and gave us lots of advice and tips on the city. She arranged our transportation from the airport and met us at the apartment. Our stay was excellent!

There is a new building being built over the street and the construction is pretty loud even during the weekend and starts around 7 AM (except for Sunday). On the other hand, you can enjoy the city more if you wake up early :) The sofa in the living room is not particularly comfy other beds seemed fine.

The stay here was amazing. The rooms are very spacious and pretty. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare any dish. The heating was working as expected. The hosts were very kind and gave us some useful tips. The location is superb - just 5-minute walk to the parliament building.
