Based on the name Forest Hills Hotel & Golf, we expected something fancy, but the interior of the hotel is more reminiscent of the eighties. The sauna is in the central building, but we got a room in one of the guest houses, it was exciting to walk in a bathrobe at zero degrees. While using the sauna, you can notice that the hotel minimizes energy costs... It's strange that life stops here at eight o'clock in the evening. Not only the dinner ends, but the bar also closes.

The staff is nice, the rooms are clean and a good size. For those who don't come by car - for example, we were hiking - it's worth considering that, for example, on Sundays after 9 a.m., you can’t catch a bus to Zirc until around noon.

For the money we paid, it was indeed a great deal. The staff at Forest Hill Hotel went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. From the warm welcome at check-in to the prompt response to any requests or concerns we had throughout our stay, they consistently demonstrated their commitment to providing excellent service. Moreover, the hotel's amenities were well-maintained and catered perfectly to our needs. The rooms were clean and comfortable, offering all essential facilities required for a pleasant stay. The dining options were diverse and deliciously prepared by skilled chefs who took pride in their culinary creations. While it is true that some affluent individuals might seek more luxurious accommodations elsewhere, Forest Hill Hotel proved that exceptional service can be provided within reasonable budgets. It is important not to underestimate the value of such establishments as they cater primarily to normal people who deserve an enjoyable experience without breaking their bank accounts.

The food at dinners was very traditional, I would recommend diversifying it with international dishes.

Big and clean rooms with a second floor and balcony. The location is wonderful for those who like nature. There is a Golf club nearby with a great trainer Daniel. Everybody who wants to try it for the first time or more experienced players will enjoy it very much. The staff was welcoming and very helpful.

Kids "playroom" isn't really a playroom, rather a mixed room with some kids toys, but the pool overruled it anyway, so it didn't bother us. :)

Food was great, good variety and kids also enjoyed it. Friendly and helpful staff! Kids enjoyed the pool and it was great for everyone to cool down on a hot day. The area is lovely for hiking, etc as well

The wellness section was quite good, however, due to cleaning works we could not use the jacuzzi on the next day before our departure which was a bit disappointing considering it was a Sunday.

It was relatively close to Epleny skiing centre and the room was lovely and spacefull. The staff was very kind and helpful, the breakfast and dinner was also pretty much above other similar catering providing hotels.

No lift to the floor and stairs inside the room to mezzanine bedroom. For 4 persons the junior room was somewhat tight.

The staff was nice and meals were good, a big golf park surrounds the pool.

Well, restaurant is the place to be improved. We received moldy bread, hard buns that couldn't be broken, cucumber was close to rotten and grapes as well.

Location is great, room is smartly arranged and decoration of hotel is stylish, staff was fully supporting and kind.

The staff is odd a bit, rude but not on purpose… they were never told most probably what and how they should ask/ answer/ react. They do not have much experience in western European hospitality. The mentality is very Eastern European, ( with loads of making faces and shrugging shoulders) so adjust your expectations and you will be ok. 👌 The place itself is beautiful.

Location is perfect if one wants golf and no big town / noise around. Golf Course is ok.

The wellness facilities have been quite limited during our stay. The jacuzzi was too cold to stay long. There was a steam cabin, but it was turned off and there was no staff to ask for help. The room was way too small even for two people. On the ground level, there was a tiny bathroom with a shower, a sofa and a small cabinet. On the upper level, there was a king-size bed and two bedside tables. The heating system is a bit tricky as we had A/C and two heaters that should be controlled independently. We failed to set them properly first, so it was too hot. The next day we just switched them off. Our package included breakfast. It was okay, nothing special. The first night we ate dinner at the hotel. It was okay, too, but it turned out that the restaurant at the next hotel is way better.

The hotel is located in a beautiful region, near Zirc city. It is surrounded by a nice and quiet park (golf course). The Bakony hills are great for easy hiking and the monastery in Zirc is also worth a visit.

The wellness are would be a little bit more clean.

I loved the environment of the hotel. It is the "island of piece" The suite was quite huge, with a big balcony. Bed was really comfortable. We ate delicious meals for the breakfast and dinner as well.
