Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomBedding was very dirty with white stains on the bedding - yuck. Shower is very old and dirty, and the drains need to be unplugged as it fills with water. Kitchen is modern but provided with very few cooking facilities. No heating or hot water when arrived and had fiddle with the boiler. Very basic and run down IKEA furniture. Front door took ages to open with the key as very stiff.
Fantastic central location. Modern kitchen. Nice to accommodate having a dog.

Czech RepublicBed was really small. Sometimes it was really hard open and lock door form our apartment. In the kitchen was some basic equipment but there are not a lighter or matches. You need them because of gas cooker.
Room was quite large. Location of apartment was very good. Near building is located grocery store.

IsraelThe way to the bed was not convenient for me as a tall person so i had to bend myself every time. The water in the shower wasn't draining, there was most likely a clogging in the drain, so water was draining slowly, we called the reception and they told us that the maintenance team will arrive the next day morning. No one ever came to solve this, shame on a team like this, I'm not the only person who suffer from this issue, so keep that in mind. No air conditioner or cool air avaiable for summer seasons.
The location was way better than my previous location (last year) when I traveled to budapest, close to everything, away from loud and noisy areas. The apartment has everthing in it including kitchen tools although we didn't use them, some people might complain about the washing machine cause it has no capsules and the laundry washer has no powder, sorry but these are not meant to be there, in an APARTMENT, you only get the basic tools and then you utelize with any supplement/powder that you want, this isn't a hotel where you get everything 100% ready. I didn't bring any of the following: hair dryer، clothes iron, vaccum cleaner. All was there. Wifi was good and fast. Some might complain about the entry codes, there are simply two, one for the main building, and the second for the apartment door, no big deal and it was so simple.

HungaryThe palace is a lousy old apartment remodelled to some extent. Windows look on a horrific "lichthof". The place smelled of sewage, the toilet was dirty, bathroom moldy ( I decided not to enclose a photo of the toilet). I was given an other place, which was a lot of ways dysfuncional. No wifi at either place worked. The firm seems to have multiple properties and they handle customers through an automatic system. To check in you either go to a central office personally (which is not your place), or fill out a check in form online, which you are not getting a confirmation of. You also have to accept their severe house rules, and only then you are getting access to the codes to enter the apartment. The call center personnell are very nice, but couln't solve a lot of problems, including the lack of wifi.
The location is nice, in the touristic center of Budapest, in the middle of everything. Polite call center persons.

SerbiaStaff is very impolite and unreliable. They spam you with emails to confirm that you won't smoke and make noise. You have to sent them passport pictures and fill in the quesionaire like you are applying for loan. All that to be able to self check in because the reception is on different location. The door lock is opening with the code they sent you, but THEY SENT ME WRONG CODE. So I had to go to the reception which is 10 minutes walk. Then they promised me they sent me the right one this time (on the reception the three of them were very impolite and weren't sorry for their mistake). I went back to the appartment where I found out that they gave me 7 digits code for the 6 digits lock, so it was wrong again. I called them, sent WhatsApp messages and contacted them via booking.com but they didn't answer for 15 minutes so I had to go again to the reception. There weren't those 3, but there was one single nice person with long brown hair and blue eyes. She gave me the right code. Back to the appartment again I entered, tired after 1.5h lost with those unreliable people. THEY ALSO SENT YOU HEATING INSTRUCTIONS ONLY AFTER YOU ASK. It is very cold in there so you need to turn on both fireplace and air conditioner. NO NATURAL LIGHT ONSIGHT.
Good location. Cheapest after hostels.

United Stateseverything. the apartment was not the one that they show in the pictures. when you’re taking a shower, the water went all over the place until the kitchen. heather was not hot enough (no matter how much you try to adjust it). the blankets was smaller than a twin bed! had a whole on the floor in between kitchen and bedroom. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

MaltaI liked it because its in the city but it was dirty .no one came to give us the code or show us the Apartment.going in the bed i nearly fall it was the floor with a hole going in the bed room .left us one towel each for 4 nights bath room scales were black with dirt .a d lucky we found two guys that helped us finding the apartment because it seems that no one new where .and another thing we had only one blanket .a pillow with one cover the other no.

Ukraine- There was no other rubbish package - There was no additional paper roll. - The floor was so cold that I had pain in my groin lower stomach !!!! The most awful moment was that the apartment was SO SO COLD !! We switched on the air conditioning and went for walk, after 4 hours we backed and somebody switched it off. The room was so COLD AND we woke up at night because of cold so even sleeping under a fur coat did not help. 100 % somebody entered room to switch off air conditioning. Moreover, window leaf from the ourside was opened. We tried to close it but cleaning staff or whoever it was closed it again when we left apartment.
I liked the conversation with the owner before checking in. That is all. Then I entered the apartment that I did not book, they sent me a message that these apartments I booked are at restoration so I wanted only them. I called the number I was given but the person told "What do you want ??" After I repeteadly told her my requirements. It was rude I explained that we received an apartment that differs from booked and they said - you can write us but there is nothing we can help you with. Do not pay in advance here!! Other options are unavailable. + plus was the location

Austriait was not that clean and there was just two towels and no shampoo. it was also loud at night and we couldn’t sleep well, there was people walking by our windows at night. it didn’t feel safe. they also gave me the wrong password for the key box and when i called them to ask them about it, they were unfriendly. i won‘t recommend it
