However, we had a frustrating experience with the host. I noticed in other reviews that poor communication seems to be a recurring issue. We contacted the host a day before our arrival to confirm everything was in order and to ask if we could drop off our luggage early. Unfortunately, we received no response. On the day of check-in, we tried reaching the host by phone and through Booking, but again, no reply. After waiting for an hour outside the building, we had to contact customer service, who informed us we would be relocated if we didn't hear back within 30 minutes. It was only after this that the host finally got in touch, and we were able to check in. While the apartment was great, this lack of communication caused unnecessary stress. I hope the host addresses this issue to prevent future guests from experiencing the same.

The room although it had a fan was very hot.

The room was great for what we needed. It was pretty easy to get into as we checked in ourself, it was clean and had a very spacious bathroom. The breakfast provided was simple but great value and set us up for the day! There was a fan but no a/c. Beds were comfy, the complex the hotel is in was very quiet and the area it is located in is nice with restaurants and bars nearby. There are good public transport links, we could access buses and underground metros pretty easily from the hotel. There are convenience stores nearby as well as the ruin bars within walking distance! We got there within 20 minutes via bus from the main station.

There seems to be a club near so it can be noisy sometimes at night The included breakfast was meagre even by standard expectations There is a fan but unfortunately no AC so it can get quite hot in the room, the fan makes it pretty manageable though

When we first arrived, there was no message from the host so that we can get in. It was also late (10pm), but we said it before. So, we tried to get in with other people and try reaching the host. It took like half an hour to reach and get our keys etc. If that wasn’t the case, the stay would be 10/10. Also, it is a 5 room place, other rooms have their private bathrooms inside their room but ours was the next door from our room. It was still private, we had our keys to get in and lock it but it was surprisingly not inside our room 😂

It is so central that we can walk nearly everywhere and it is easy to get in it is also quiet since our room faces inwards. The breakfast was okey.

We did a self-check in and we had difficulties to follow the instructions at the beginning, but at the end everything worked out.

The owner was extremely nice, he let us leave our bags after the check out. He always picked the phone when we needed something. The location was perfect if you want to do sightseeing in Budapest. The rooms were confortable and clean.

The breakfast was great, lovely lady staff who prepared it however would have been nice if eggs were on offer. My son is not a huge fan of cold meats/cheese in the morning so he skipped the daily breakfast, he would’ve appreciated eggs or something similar like toasties etc Maybe a little more instructions about the use of tv, could not turn on. Also a couple more blankets and pillows extra would’ve been much appreciated.

I enjoyed the breakfast and the quietness of the b&b, the security it offered, kitchen facilities ie kettle to make myself tea in the arvo/eve, little fridge to chill a water bottle and fruit. We really appreciated the manager organising our airport transf shuttle at last minute.

- The picture on the website were made when the apartment was new, so expect some surfaces to be outworn. This is not really a minus, but we did not quite like that. - It was pretty cold in the room during the night, max 21C, and it wasn't possible to go beyond that. Now normally 21C is enough, but the apartment is at ground level so you need more during the winter. - The breakfast is ok, but lacks variety: for example omelette is very basic nowadays everywhere, more fruits (orange, grapes) would be nice since only apple was available. - Overall because of these it's more like a 7 for me not 8+.

The central location is definitely good because you save money on transport, the hosts are very kind and helpful.
