This is one the most beautiful places we stayed on our recent trip. The villa was beautiful and had everything our family of four could need in a fantastic, central location. We especially loved the picture perfect rooftop with the amazing view. I couldn’t recommend this property highly enough.

Toiletries in the apartment can be improved. We ran out of shower gel very quickly.

Location is fantastic. Everything is very close. Lots of excellent restaurants within 50 feet of the apartment. View from the rooftop is excellent. Sasa was extremely responsive to our questions. The croissants were a nice touch. Will definitely visit again with my family.

I gave the property an 8 and said it was good because the property had a lot of stairs. Bringing the luggage up and down was challenging and also the washrooms were on the top two floors.

Bathrooms were a bit basic - hard to shower without getting water all over the floor and one toilet was not attached to the floor. Not suitable if you don’t like stairs - 4 floors keeps you fit!

Location was excellent - a few minutes away from Pile Gate. Hosts were helpful, accommodating and lovely and bought us extra treats. Amazing views from roof terrace. Plenty of space and good air con.

Everything really, it’s was perfect for us. 2 couples. Position for the sights and old city walls. The Hosts were very helpful and nothing was to much trouble .

The rooftop was perfect for breakfast. Evening was lovely too with the town lights. Just perfect.

Location, air conditioning, fantastic roof terrace

Only negative was that the apartment was very loud some nights when trying to sleep, even with all the windows and shutters closed. It’s very easy to hear people walking and talking along the stairs/path that runs right alongside the apartment.

The rooftop terrace is spectacular. The apartment is very close to the main attractions. Easy check in and check out, and the kitchen was well equipped. Air conditioning worked well even with temps in the mid 30s. Given the bedrooms are on different levels and the bathrooms are are different levels from the bedrooms (it’s a bit of a quirky layout), I wouldn’t recommend this unit for children under 5 or 6 for safety reasons, but it was fine for us (our girls are 8 and 9).

Be aware of the stairs. The apartment is spread over five levels with aprox 60 stairs from top to bottom. If you had small kids or not so great knees this may be a problem. There were also lots of stairs to get to the apartment from the street. The charm of Old Town....lots of stairs! The bedroom located on the bottom floor gets quite noisy due to people coming and going to other apartments on the street. It was cool even though there was no air conditioning in there.

Located in Old Town with fab views on the roof deck. We traveled as a group of three and each had our own room. Easy to access all the attractions in town and head back home for a bite to eat or a rest during the heat of the day. The roof deck was amazing at sunset and a great place to have drinks and nibbles to finish off the day. There was also a washing machine which was a godsend after travelling and using laundromats for some time. The washing was dry in no time up on the roof deck (always important). The aparment was clean and well presented. Lots of extras in the kitchen if you needed to do any cooking and we were lucky enough to receive a bag of baked goodies from the host which was a lovely surprise.

Can be a little noisy in the late evening due to passing people returning from restaurants. Only a small thing as it is all part of the vide staying in the heart of this beautiful town.

Sasa was an excellent host and was so helpful and great at communicating during our stay. The location is perfect for visiting Dubrovnik.

The stairs, which is unavoidable in the old city. For seniors and those more physically challenged, be aware that there are several flights to climb before getting to the property, which itself has 5 levels. This includes the rooftop terrace.

Location was great, close to Pile gate, which is close to many attractions within the old city, and easy to get out of city for day trips. The rooftop terrace had a spectacular view of the old city. Kitchen was well stocked with food items. The host even delivered fresh pastries on our first day.

Nothing, everything was fab

Wow, the host Sasa is amazing! So friendly and accommodating, not only did she deliver some lovely breakfast bits on our first morning but also a wonderful birthday cake for my wife! The house is brilliant, a real home from home with everything you need including little touches like milk, cereal, chocolate, washing powder, etc. the location is fantastic, right in the old town, so close to the bars and restaurants but far enough away for it to be quiet. Absolutely nothing !

The hosts were amazing - meeting us at the gates of the old town and giving us hints and tips of where places were. They even got us breakfast and birthday cake on my other half’s birthday! Apartment was great - with everything you could need and more for a stay in Dubrovnik. Having a roof terrace was amazing for the adults and the added unexpected bonus of an Xbox made my son’s day! Thank you sasa and Mario for a wonderful time.

There isn't anything that could have been done better. The apartment is a very vertical apartment, as I would guess almost all of them are that are in the Old City. So there were many stairs to navigate.

The hosts - Sasa and Marijo - were fantastic. The apartment is in the Old City - very convenient to everything. The kitchen was fully equipped and there were drinks and foodstuffs already there. And they brought us pastries and grapes on Monday morning - very sweet. And the ari conditioning worked really well. :-)

The rooms are over 4 floors so there are steps, but if you are in the old town there are steps everywhere, we took it as a positive to work off all the food.

The location of the house was amazing, just off the central street, with a shop, restaurants and bars at the door. Rooms were air conditioned which is much needed in summer. The roof terrace was the highlight, this seemed to be one of the very few accommodations in the old city that has outside space and it was great to be able to take a break and sit outside with a coffee or a drink with view across the old city. The owners Sasa and Marijo were fantastic they met us at Pile gate, let us store our luggage until checkin, gave us loads of recommendations, had the apartment stocked with wine, beer, coffee, ice cream, cereal etc. every thing you needed when we arrived and then on the first morning left fresh pastries at the door for us. The communication was excellent leading up to and during our stay.

As said before if you have trouble climbing stairs it might cause some difficulty. However you will be much fitter at the end of your holiday!!

Just home from 1 week in Dubrovnik. Fabulous week. Sasa and Mario were very kind and thoughtful. They met us on arrival and welcomed us to Villa Palo Alto which was exactly as described! They left us wine, chocolates, a well stocked fridge and cupboards and lots of great information regarding what to do in Dubrovnik. They also left us breakfast and fruit on 2 of the mornings. The stairs both in the house and in Dubrovnik itself are not for the faint hearted however they are well worth it. The roof terrace was perfect for enjoying the warm days and evenings and had beautiful views. All in all a great holiday. Accommodation perfect in a great location and lovely hosts. Thankyou

This beautiful home is in the perfect location for exploring the old town. Seconds away from some amazing restaurants. Sasa and Mario set up our transportation from the port and graciously met us at the gate to help with luggage, etc. Amazing hosts! Well stocked kitchen with snacks, beverages and wine/beer! Then breakfast goodies delivered one morning!!! And of course the terrace!!! Beautiful spot for a glass of wine and watching the sunset over the walls!! I would absolutely recommend!!!!
