Nothing really. We had a great stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Armin. We arrived earlier than we had indicated we would, but after a quick phone call to our host and a short 5 minutes wait, our host arrived. She showed us to our apartment which was quite large and spent a lot of time with us pointing out the easiest way to walk to the historical part of the city (about 10-15 minutes walking - about 1km) and to some of the points of interest. She recommended a couple of restaurants which we definitely enjoyed. Breakfast was very good! We really appreciated that they served a good selection of meat, cheese, eggs, breads, and more. We had a rental car, so it was great to be able to park it and then walk everywhere we wanted to go. Overall, we would highly recommend staying here!

We arrived to Armin and there was very lovely girl Nina welcoming us. She gave us keys, she explained us everything and she made for us coffee. And bonus thing- in bathroom they use RITUALS cosmetics! Just perfect :))

The breakfast was good and had everything I like. The staff at Villa Armin were all amazing! They really took care of us, and helped us with things such as booking a cab, and getting soya milk. Little things like that really show that the staff is keen on giving you the best service. They were so friendly and happy to help. I will for sure live here again om my next visit to Rovinj. Besides the great service, I also appreciated the standards of our room. Fresh and clean, and with comfortable beds. I don't have a bad thing to say about my stay here! You get A LOT for your money.

It is a bit further from town, but not too bad, especially if you take the bike. Breakfast was quite basic, nothing warm.

The room was huge, with a fully equipped kitchen, sofa a small balcony, a big dining table. We liked that we could take bicycles for free to go around town, although they definitely need some maintenance. Aida was friendly and welcoming and it was very quiet, in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of parking space.

Villa Armin is a very affordable place to visit and explore Rovinj. It seems a bit of the city center but it is a rather easy walk to downtown. As bicyclists, the dry rack is a plus when doing some quick laundering.

No elevator. The way from Rovinj center is uphill and a bit problematic for elderly people.

We were upgraded to the better room with the living room and bedroom. The breakfast was very nice. The hostess Aida was very pleasant and helpful.

For me the stay was perfect, but if you are a pretentious person, there are some negative aspects, loose door knobs, somewhat noisy fridge.

Two main negatives to the hotel. First of all the staff. As soon as we got to the hotel, their greeting was cold and indifferent. The few smiles we got were forced and it was like nobody wanted to be working there. Secondy, the breakfast was bad to say the least. There weren't many guests in the hotel the day we were there, yet still there should have been enough food for everyone. Breakfast is served from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., we got there at 8:30 a.m. found one croissant which we got and until 9:45 when we left it was never refilled. The orange juice was of the lowest quality, the butter was melted and the only warm choices of food were omelette and fried-scrambled (it was something in between) eggs which were also not that great. The distance from the old town to the hotel is a bit long and the woad uphill, so if we weren't by car it would be tiresome walking all that way in the summer. Lastly, we payed in euros and the lady in the reception took the liberty of giving us the change in kuna, with an exchange rate of 7,29 kuna/euro at a day when Revolut was giving 7,49 kuna/euro. That amounted to 3 euros extra charge, so there was an extra little charge right there, but we didn't want to make a fuss for that small amount of money. It just shows what the whole attitude of the hotel is towards the guest. The room is worth its winter price, but it's expectedly almost double that in high season.

A normal hotel in a quiet part of Rovinj, close to the center if using a car and with parking on site. It was clean, we had a nice small terrace which we used only in the evening, as in the day it was under the very hot summer sun. We were happy to see that the staff had spread the few guests of the hotel around, so we didin't have anyone else staying in adjacent rooms and it was really quiet. Therefore, we can't know if the soundproofing of the rooms is good. The room was was nicely cleaned and well equipped.

The apartment is a bit far from the old town but they provide bike for free to bike to the old town of split. The room is very big for 3 persons and has kitchen. The host is very nice. She explain everything and recommend many places for visiting and eat.

Wevwere extremely surprised with the size and quality of our rooms. There was a combined kitchen, dining and living room, a separate bedroom plus bathroom. We also had a nice deck which we used. The facilities were extremely clean and well taken care of. The Villa Armin is in a residential area which is a easy walk to the old town area of Rovinj. The area has a really nice quiet feel away from the busy tourist area. We need to mention that the best part of our experience here was having “Aida” who seemed to handle everything to do with our stay. She booked us in and filled us in on information on the area. She prepared a really good breakfast for us every day. What we really need to mention was how she helped my wife. Just prior to arriving in Rovinj my wife pulled a nerve in her back and was having considerable pain. Aida helped us by finding a pharmacy which she was familiar with that was able to give my wife medication that has really helped her heal. She was actually pretty concerned that my wife got proper care. We really felt we were dealing with someone who went above just dealing with clients but looking after guests as friends would. Our experience at Villa Armin was way above the ordinary. My wife is getting better now thanks to Aida. If you are looking for a home away from home with a truly excellent staff person then look no further. Don’t let the location put you off. It is a extremely nice place to stay when visiting Rovinj . My wife and I can’t recommend staying here enough. Aida made our memories of Rovinj just that extra special. Thanks.
