Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe initial apartment assignment was dated and run down. The front desk made it good with a change to a much more modern and better equipped room.

HungaryAt dinner, some of the food was not even hot enough when you put it on the plate, but this must have been due to the large number of guests, as the staff had to serve a huge amount of food. The worst part of staying there was the last day/night. 600 students arrived and almost blew the place up, and the calm that had been there turned into a nightmare in an instant. The students were making noise in every part of the apartment village, it was impossible to rest, even at 11pm the noise was unbearable. I said the first two days that I would definitely return here, which I did not refuse, but I would make sure to ask when booking if any students were coming for sports week and if so, I would avoid the place. Good place, but only without student guests arriving for sports week. Unfortunately, they are frequent guests.
Apartment for two people, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, but if you're paying for half board, the kitchen is not important. Comfortable bed, small but sufficient bathroom. Breakfast and dinner are both generous, buffet style.

Breakfast was delicious but a bit expensive, location very good and easy to find, but you need car if you want to go to the city center. Apartment was very clean and well equipped. Stuff very kind and friendly.

United Kingdomit was little further into Rovinj town than we thought. There was boat taxi but was expensive for 6 people. Resort also included a campsite which we didn’t realise so was very busy but that is also the time of year we went. Can’t fault the accommodation but not really our thing.
Lovely beach area, rooms were clean and comfortable.

NetherlandsYou have to pay for everything extra, a hamburger on the beach was 10 euro and it was only a burger without any other things on it, the jump pillow is not free you need to pay just like the trampoline I think that is really misleading with the pictures

United KingdomCouple of things in the kitchen didn’t work. Not really a complaint as I’m sure they would have been changed but we coped without.
Very spacious room, good air con, comfy beds. Hotel facilities were great. Was very busy but felt like it was designed well to cope with a busy period.

United KingdomA little busy for us but the complex is huge so we could understand why. The room/apartment was really comfortable and had a good kitchen where we could cook. It would have been great to have a little shop nearby which sold more groceries but we worked round it. It also cost a lot to get into the town which was a bit annoying (£20 round trip for family of 4) but we did play tennis, eat pizza, swim and the coffee was good 🙏🏻

Hong KongThere are only 2 restaurants, one offers buffet in the morning and night time. The food was just ok, nothing special, the desserts are not nice, and very few choices too. The pizza place downstairs was nice and the food was tasty, but not so many choices, you get tired with it after 2 meals. There is ferry service between the hotel and town center, it charges 7 euro one person one way, it seemed expensive. Resort also runs the shuttle bus, however it is that often, also the latest time is 9pm or 9:30pm. So we didn’t have a lot of choice beside driving our own car to the town center, but parking can be an issue there.
The resort is big and has its own beach and swimming pool, great for family. The kids had a lot of fun playing on the beach, the water jumping castle and swimming pool. Also it is nice that the parking is free. We are party of 5, the room size is fine, nice to have the roof to relax or dry the clothes.

Slovenia- We had to pay 10€ for 1 coin for the laundry (washing, drying) - we think it is very pricy! - The room / app was old and the furniture (shower holder, towel holder) was damaged. - There was a very musty smell
We liked the location, the pool and the staff.

RomaniaThe beach was to rocky and shallow, if you are not an experienced swimmer it will be difficult for you.
The location is perfect for a weeks vacation and the meals are really good and at a very decent price. You can spend the evenings after dinner on the beach to enjoy the air, view and the sound of water.
