My only regret we didn’t stay longer

The host and his family were lovely, so kind, considerate and thoughtful. While they live there too there is privacy and you are able to enjoy Mario’s beautiful garden. We were also able to sample some of his brothers gorgeous wine! The room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed evenings in the garden, and were welcomed by 5 very friendly cats - a highlight for us. The area is lovely, 1km walk to Rastoke and 5 minutes from local pizza places and shops! Great for visiting the lakes as well, only 25m drive away so able to get there really early.

Highly recommend! Mario & his Mum & family went above & beyond to make us feel welcome & comfortable. The rooms & bathrooms were very clean & beds comfortable. Was an easy walk to local supermarket & eatery's. Great place to base ourselves to explore the local waterfalls of slunj & only 30 min drive to the beautiful Plitvic waterfalls. We loved it so much we came back at the end of 2 week driving holiday! Thankyou so much Mario & family for making our holiday to Croatia so special! We will be back!

Mario is a very kind host. The apartmant is in a quiet street. The room and bathroom are clean, the bed is comfortable. Rastoken is approx 20 minutes on foot. There is a restaurant, Kum in the center of Rastoken, offering delicious pizza and lasagne at a good price. Perfekt accomodation if you want to visit Plitvice . Plitvice is 32 km away. Mario's family is also deal with winemaking, we tasted and bought very delicious wine. Since we are cat lovers, the 5 cats were just an extra😀 I recomend to everyone!🧡

Bathroom was private but separated from the room. We had to cross the corridor.

Perfect spot for a night before or after a day in Plitvice Park. Not far away by car we found nice restaurants for the evening - thank you Mario for the recommendations.

Location was peaceful and natural. Owner Mario was very welcoming, generous and kind yet never intrusive and we had lots of space to relax. Lovely garden and many details were appreciated. We would like to return and can highly recommend

The apartment had everything we needed for self catering and was bigger than it appeared in the photos. The shower was hot and had great water pressure. The accommodation is set in a gorgeous garden and location, that was surrounded by countryside, however only a few minutes walk into Slunj for coffee shops, supermarket, place to eat, bus stop etc. Beautiful Rastoke village was also only 15mins walk away with more places to eat out if wanted. From Slunk or Rastoke the river trail walks through the forest were absolute stunning. A definite mention to the family who own the accommodation and their welcoming friendly nature - we were given free glasses of wine made by a family member, and it was lovely. Totally recommend this place.

We had our own bathroom, but it was across a hallway. This was not a major problem for us, but it's probably worth checking as it might matter to some people.

The room was a good size, with a fridge and kettle. The location was perfect; on a quiet road, on the edge of town, just a short walk from Slunj. It has a lovely garden with a shaded area where you can sit and chill. The property is also very close to a lovely Riverside footpath. The owner was fabulous: super friendly and very helpful. Made us feel very welcome.

Nothing bad.

Good value rooms. Near Rastoke, easy to get if you have a car. And on the way to Plivice Lakes, so quite convenient as a one night stop. The place was quiet.

Only 5 minutes walking distance from the center of Slunj. The cleanest rooms I have ever seen. Very nice host Marijana. Everything was just perfect. Highly recommended.

We stayed here only for 1 night and this was the only downside. They offered us early check in and everything was perfect. The hosts were really kind, helpful and friendly. Gave us restaurant recommendations and information about the city. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. My family and I had a great time there and would definitely go back if possible. 10/10 would recommend if you want a quiet, cosy place with a yard to relax.

There is no supermarket in the area, but the silence and the location in nature made up for it.. If you don't have a car, you'll know how to organize things before arriving

Perfect place for exploring Plitvice and surroundings. Beautiful quite place on the outskirts of Slunj. The room was cozy and clean. Very hospitable and kind owner. I really recommend his homemade wine and knowlegde of Croatian rock music!
