Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesRooms Vjera was the perfect place to stay for our Dubrovnik vacation. The location is at the top of the hill overlooking the city (you need to be able to climb a good amount of stairs!) and had amazing views of the old town walls. Our hosts greeted us with drink and information about Dubrovnik. The room is huge with a king bed, wardrobes, antiques, AC, and old town views. The bathroom is detached but private and just across the hall with nice water pressure. There is a kitchen fully equipped and a terrace to enjoy meals with great views. Just around the corner from a bakery and grocery store (5 min walk) and 10 min walk to Old Town. Branko was THE BEST host- so caring, it felt like staying with family.

Hong KongNeed to walk 90 step upstairs. Which is totally fine for me but if you have mobility difficulties you may have to reconsider it.
Good location, close to everywhere, few minutes walk to pile gate,15mins to banje beach, few minutes to cable car station. Very clean and tidy. I love the balcony where you can view the old town, have breakfast, look at the star at night, and dry the clothes. There is also supermarket and bakery nearby. The owner is very nice and friendly, provided us with tourists information. Very thoughtful that beach towel is also provided. The room is spacious and bed is comfortable. Highly recommended!

AustraliaOur stay here was absolutely amazing! Branko was so lovely and made us feel very safe and welcome. He is such an amazing host. Highly recommend this accomodation for your stay in Dubrovnik. Only a 5-10 min walk to the old town (keep in mind there lots of stairs) with beautiful views from our room and patio. We will definitely return on our next trip to Dubrovnik! Thank you Branko.

United KingdomOur host, Branco, couldn't do enough for us. He was ready with a drink when we arrived & would often bring different fruit or snacks for us. The views from the terrace were exceptional, overlooking Dubrovnik old town & the sea. Very quiet & peaceful. The only down side were the steps from the road up to the property. Not so good if you're not reasonably fit.

United Kingdomp.s. Dubrovnik should really be called... "the city of stairs", so be prepared to climb lots! We are from Scotland, a mountainous country so are no strangers to hills, and even we were taken aback by the sheer number of stairs here haha. Expect to get your steps up and for your quads to burn
Every aspect of our stay here was perfect. The views from our room, terrace and kitchen were beautiful- we were looking right over the old town! Facilities were exceptional, everything one could need was provided, we made good use of the shared kitchen and terrace and enjoyed the communal feel of the house... Branko!! His warm hospitality, kind heart and beaming personality made our stay extra special. He always went the extra mile for us; providing us with a map of Dubrovnik and lots of helpful advice, offering refreshments and shelter after a long day of travelling, and providing us with everything we needed extra towels etc. He was a joyful host, with an equally admirable garden :) If you are looking for a place to stay in Dubrovnik, you will not regret picking Rooms Vjera! we will never forget our time here in this special place. Thank you Branko for everything.

THE LOCATION WAS JUST OUTSIDE THE WALLS WHICH WAS GREAT CAUSE ITS NOT THAT LOUD AND YOU COULD HAVE A GOOD REST. PLUS THE VIEWS WERE AMAZING. THE ROOM AND THE ENTIRE PROPERTY WERE SPACIOUS AND HAS ALL THE FACILITIES YOULL NEED. THE ABSOLUTE HIGHLIGHT OF THE STAY WAS THE OWNER, BRANCO. HE STAYED UP UNTIL 3AM TO GREET US, AS OUR FLIGHT WAS DELAYED. HE OFFERED SOME DRINKS AND FOOD. HE WAS VERYYYY GRACIOUS AND THE SWEETEST MAN. Everything was great and great value for money. He even provided coffee, salt, sugar, oil, wine, beer… lol. Branco is not running a business he is making connections. Apartment is fairly priced and not so many stairs.

FinlandOne thing only- it’s a bit high and u have to walk some stairs from the old town to the hotel. However, I mastered that for 4 days wearing my high heels. So that definitely won’t be a problem.:) Also, the view on your way from the old town to the hotel is fantastic!
The owner was super kind and friendly. He offered us drinks when we arrived and introduced different tourist attractions to us with the map. Also he introduced everything about the hotel in detail haha. The rooms and toilets are so clean and comfy. There is a kitchen where you can make your own dinner. The view from the hotel is superb! Definitely the best hotel I’ve ever been to! This hotel just feels like home to me;)

The view from this place is stunning! Branko (host) was super friendly. He was waiting for us to share some tips, explain us the city and some chocolates as well. Despite the private bathroom is out of the room, he provided us everything (keylock, shower coat and set of towels) to feel comfy. We had also access to a kitchen with everything that we need.

PolandStairs ;)
Although one have to overcome quite a lot of stairs to get there (but nothing uncommon in Dubrovnik) but then view from terrace and friendly host compensates all. Extremely helpful hosts provided us with very useful informations. Although location is just few steps (stairs ;) from old town it’s quiet. There is also kitchen available with all utensils.

GermanyYou have to climb some stairs to get there from the old city but this is the case for most of Dubrovnik.
Branko is a great host. He receives the guests very well. He allowed me to leave my backpack before check-in and even allowed check-in earlier because the room was ready. Also after check-out, he allowed leaving my backpack there and even gave me keys to let myself in. He also provided information about buses, sightseeing tips etc. The room was of good size and the view from the room was amazing. Everything was clean. Wifi worked well. Well equipped kitchen is available (shared with guests in one other room) and a terrace with tables and chairs (also shared). Bathroom was big. Walking distance to cable car station. Would love to stay there again when visiting Dubrovnik.

He is a really good and polite man! I recommend this room for sure. The only problem was the way many stairs you had to walk in order to go to the room, but the whole Dubrovnik is like this.
