To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The location is good. Just a few minutes walk for the city center and 10min to the waterside.

GermanyDifficult to find it, as the address in booking is different to the one in Google or maps.me Directions I got by Email were confusing. No name where to ring the bell, the host said because of security issues??!! We had a double deluxe, "deluxe" was never there, bed about 160 cm, not really double bed. Internet not available everywhere(balcony) . Photos do not show the flat, like no lounge or big balcony. No TV. It is a flat, so no lounge area or reception available. We were told to use one toilet (at that point we were 5 people(4 guests and the host, who lives there). There is another toilet with a shower, where we were only allowed to use it for a shower or if someone was use that toilet., as it supposed to be use by the girls(at that point we were only boys). You can't close the "boys" toilet. Had not a shower holder, so shower was quite difficult. Not possible to leave your bags after check out, he said in case of fire or earthquake??!! When you are not in the room, host go inside the room and make sure all appliances are turn off. You must leave 30 Euro deposit for the keys. Once you get there you must paid either in local currency or Euros. Fridge was off once we got there, in order to save power,although were other guests. 40 local currency for the washing,which we didn't use, but we got an Email saying in case we did, we had to pay. You are not allowed to cook, only tea and coffee. You are not allowed to leave your suitcases on the wooden floors, there are some kind of carpets where you must place the suitcases. I felt I was observed every time, what we were doing. The "dulexe" room had a door to connect the other room, and in other to stop the noise he placed a matrass at the door??!! You of course hear people in the other room.

The room was large enough and very comfortable. The host added a table where I was able to setup my computer to do some work. The bathroom was spotless. The location was perfect in an important street just one block away from all touristic locations.
