Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe restaurant food was not what I would have expected from a 5* but the staff were incredibly helpful but for the number of staff sometimes the service was extremely slow. (Evening only)
The hotel was beautiful and only a quick 5 minute ride into Split. The town itself had a good choice of places to eat/drink.

DenmarkNo iron available to borrow. Our room wasn't cleaned for three days (we requested no cleaning the first day, but it wasn't cleaned the following two days either), which was problematic due to the trash bins becoming unpleasant and overfilled. However, on the days the room was cleaned, it was spotless. The bathroom products are not good. Don't forget to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. The hotel's restaurant is very poor. We could only enjoy the food on two evenings; the rest of the time, we had to leave it because it was inedible. I ordered a glass of wine each evening, and it was equally poor. This is unfortunate because the setting for a lovely dinner was there, with beautifully set tables and, as mentioned, a very beautiful hotel. There is a pizzeria not far from the hotel, River Pizzeria, which we can recommend. 😊
Large and lovely room with a beautiful view of the mountains, and a stunning hotel with delightful pools and pool areas. The breakfast had everything we could wish for, and all the breakfast staff were really sweet and attentive. The airport transfer was excellent.

NetherlandsThe hotel could use a little upgrade on its inventory. The staff wear gentle in general they did their job but that’s it. The education about hospitality of a 5 star hotel is far to search. But unfortunately that was the issue in whole of Croatia. The country is magical but they still need to learn about treating tourist. They will get there at some point.
The rooms wear really specious and a nice little balcony. 2 swimming pools. The area was nice and quiet we wear by car a lot of parking space overal good for a 4 star hotel, but not a 5 star one.

United KingdomSolin and the Hotel is situated close to an intersection of major roads, so the surroundings area is a little built up. Also driving there was a bit of an adventure...but with the help of Google maps we made it! Getting an Uber to take us into Split was a little hit and miss as the journey is a few KMs and a few seemed to give up before arriving, although we persevered and were successful after a few attempts. The hotel did offer an alternative but was 2-3 times the cost of an Uber (i guess you pay for the convenience).
Hotel and room was spacious and quiet and the hotel had very good facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful and the welcome drink...welcome! Breakfast self service had a good selection. Solin centre was a short stroll across the river and had a few local bars and reasonably priced restaurants. Road access to the coast and airport was easy.

United KingdomWe managed to get transport in and out of split very easily but there were some delays because we're in the very peak of season and everybody wants to go out and eat around 8 p.m.. A couple of times you had to wait 20 minutes but if you plan ahead it's not really a problem. Try both local taxis reception which are pretty good and is there is a backup. Getting taxes back from the centre of town was never a problem as long as you figure out where the taxi ranks are, which is not hard.
Hotel is good. Suite large. Breakfast good. Pool great and never crowded. Solin is a pleasant interesting village on the edge of split if you care to walk around.

AustraliaBreakfast wasn’t 5* quite often running out of pancakes. Most staff very young but did their best. Pool beds were often taken, too much room around pool was filled with chairs instead of sunbeds. One bar tender is rude to foreigners.
The pools were great, both very large size. We enjoyed using the large inflatable swans. very comfortable pool beds when you could get one. Good sized rooms, comfortable beds. Good location for visiting Solin and Klis
