Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNot sure if it was time of year or that there was European Football Championship games on but bar area and pool was a bit “rowdy” at times and a couple of times when we were as a group meeting for early breakfast there were a few lads “recovering “ from a night on the town lying on pool beds clearly not made it back to their rooms. Not the staff or hotels fault but I guess pick your times. If you’re expecting a tranquil serene hotel this isn’t it at certain times.
Rooms clean, spacious, breakfast brilliant. Pool area lovely but busy. Twin rooms more than adequate. Different room blocks make it feel more inviting and intimate than one massive hotel. Walk up to hotel is 15 minutes and manageable. Staff were cleaning everyday and everywhere so place was spotless.

United KingdomSome noisy young parties. First night a lot of shouting outside at 4am in the morning. Our third night people coming and going until early hours, banging doors and talking very loudly.
Location was ok but quite a steep walk to the town. Breakfast was great. Room was fine.

AustraliaThe room was very small and did not have space to open suitcases. The hotel is at the top of a hill so there are many stairs to climb. The rooms are not soundproof and you can hear noise from neighbours.
The pool was lovely and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were very helpful and took our bags to the room.

United KingdomNo tea, coffee or complimentary water was provided in the room which was a little disappointing and would have been a nice touch. The room was perhaps also a little on the smaller side compared to other places we stayed in Croatia for a similar price but it was still very comfortable. It is also useful to be aware that although the hotel is fairly close to the town it is all uphill from town if you are arriving with cases! Of course, being uphill probably helped give the hotel a better view. We also thought that the tours that could be arranged through the hotel were quite expensive.
The breakfast was lovely with lots of tasty options to choose from. Our room was comfortable with a balcony with a lovely sea view which we enjoyed sitting on with a glass of Croatian beer in the evening! We did have a problem with our balcony light not working but the staff were very helpful with this and arranged for it to be fixed quickly. The pool was great with some very comfy options of sunbeds which we appreciated as we relaxed in the sunshine. The location was good with only a short walk of about 10 minutes into the town.

IrelandPoolside bar was very expensive (€5 for a bottle of water and €17 for a club sandwich). Some staff were quite rude upon arrival and wait time for check in was 30/40 minutes. Room wasn’t entirely clean and we were only given one towel.
Lovely rooms with very comfortable beds, good breakfast and great location.

BrazilThe front guest employees were not helpful, didn’t know much, the hotel is not accessible at all! During our stay the system went down and we didn’t have electricity for a few hours! It doesn’t have a shuttle to and from the port, unlike other hotels, which make getting around with bags very hard!
The restaurant and breakfast where great! The room was good and the pool is beautiful!

IrelandIf I had to be really picky it would be that in some areas there is a hostel feel, mainly reception but at such amazing value that isn’t really a negative
An absolutely stunning location , spotlessly clean , and lovely staff . Pay the little extra for a superior sea view room and you won’t be disappointed. Amazing views of the neighboring islands. The value this property represents is the best in town by far. Pool and loungers etc probably marketed more towards younger 20 something’s but thats not a bad thing , I just felt a little old , lol ! Loads of loungers etc

United KingdomThe hotel stupidly booked us into a room situated in the same hallway as a school trip, with them on either side of us. There was extra noise than expected obviously since they are children, I went to reception to ask to move room and a female member of staff refused saying they were fully booked, they don’t have authority and that all they can do is ask them to be quiet. I didn’t want to complain, or tell the kids to be quiet they should enjoy their holiday. It was the hotel at fault not the kids, they should be aware of the inherent risks of accommodating a school group within their hotel. I spoke with the manager the following morning, she moved us room instantly, yet she couldn’t the night previous when I asked that female colleague to phone her. No apology from the manager. For the rest of our stay the hotel seemed nowhere near full capacity. Staff need more training.

Very nice mix of family and friends here as well. There are a few ways to access this hotel and can access by car from the harbour or a lovely walk but is very hilly
