Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe room was extremely well appointed with great facilities, but was an attic/loft room with slanted ceilings which meant parts of room were inaccessible for tall people.
We booked last minute so actual location was initially a bit confusing but communication with host was great and we found it with her help.

GermanyVentilation in the room was not good as there is only one balcony door to get air in (no bathroom vent as far as I could tell). But A/C was working fine. It is a bit out of town, and the street along the sea is quite heavily used (use the ferryboat from the harbourif possible, well worth the little money).
Smooth arrival arrangements, the host greeted us at the location. There is ample parking available in front of the house. The room was very large, although the taller one is the smaller the usable area gets. Sweet little balcony, well equipped kitchenette. Convenient location, shop & bakery nearby, city center a 20min walk.

PolandApartment Milka in Zadar is a very quiet, peaceful place during the day as well as at night. The owner of the facility takes great care of everything and is always there to help. The apartment is very nicely decorated, clean and well maintained. Nearby is a grocery store, souvenir store and bakery. Highly recommended.

Very nice and helpful owner, the facility in a quiet and peaceful area, 20 minutes walk to the old town, 10 minutes to the nearest beach, 5 minutes to the market and bakery. I highly recommend! I will gladly come back here.

AustraliaThe stairwell really stank of mildew/mould. The bathroom has zero ventilation - no fan, no window and a sloping roof to negotiate.
Room was clean and fresh. Little balcony allowed fresh air in and a small sitting space. It was handy to the beach for a swim. As we used it only as a one night stopover on our way further up the coast it was fine. Free wifi and off-street parking were appreciated.

Had necessities, the kitchen could’ve used an extra skillet and complementary cooking oil. Outside of that, the staff was very friendly and gave us a ton of great recommendations for our stay. We were also allowed a very late check out because she didn’t have anyone staying there the next night; which was very very helpful for us. Overall good experience.

VietnamThe place was a bit far from the old town. The public bus system is not the best (obviously not their fault but worth mentioning). If you consider staying here, you might have to spend extra on taxi.
Everything was perfect. The host noticed our arrival and came to pick us up. She was very friendly and helpful. They prepared a small snack and cold water in advance. We even have a very spacious balcony to chill and smoke. It is also near a small shop so you can buy snacks or even ingredients for cooking.
