We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesThe hotel blew our minds and way exceeded our expectations. As soon as we walked into the lobby we knew we had made the right choice, the view of the sea is incredible and that's just the lobby! The staff were very nice and hooked us up with a bottle of champagne in our room when we were able to check in. Our room had a large balcony that faced the sea and was very quiet. The beach was great with a waitstaff constantly wandering around to take any food/bev orders. The hotel's restaurant was also very good, we ate there on our first night and split a fish dinner that the waiter de-boned in front of us. All in all a 10/10 and we've already recommended it to numerous people interested. If we go back to Dubrovnik we will for sure be staying here again.

United KingdomOnly thing that stops me giving this full marks is a nagging point.....99% of staff were brilliant, really attentive, friendly. However....and I am not going to name the person for reason below. We encountered one member of staff whos' service/professionalism was not what I would expect, in fact the person actually embarrassed my wife in front of other guests. We spoke directly to the person and explained what they had done and how they had embarrassed her, they duly apologised' however they practically begged us not to report the incident as they would be fired. Not judging here or jumping to conclusions but does the hotel operate a fear culture with employees, or maybe staff member had previous? Either way, that incident aside, great facility.
Excellent location, wonderful view, excellent breakfast selection. Bars and restaurants all top notch.

Love the Valamar we've been a few times and the service is excellent, especially the priority area with the exclusive beach area and amazing 5 course meals in a private restaurant with a great view - we felt very special.

United KingdomHotel permits smokers in the outdoor dining areas so clouds of disgusting cigar smoke in the evenings whilst you are trying to enjoy dinner, drinks and really good music outside, then more cigarette smoke billowing over you at breakfast! Utterly disgusting.
Friendly and helpful staff. The facilities are very nice, great outdoor pool with views of the Adriatic and islands, spa is nice and beach front although busy is nice to swim in. Transport to Dubrovnik by cheap bus is easy and taxies/uber rides are plentiful.

SlovakiaThe food served on the beach is not good enough and needs inprovement, also there is not enough waiters, so you have to fight for their attention. It is allowed to smoke on the beach so you will probably experience a smoker smoking on one of your neigboring chairs and the wind migt blow it towards you. Once we had a cigar smoker next to us and it was blowing towards us and when the waiter was serving us food we asked if this is ok and he said it is allowed to smoke there “why not”. Smoking is also allowed on the breakfast terrace, they will even bring you an ashtray to your table while people next to you are eating breakfast, so again if you have a smoker next to you you might smell smoke while eating.
