Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We usually prefer self-service apartments/homes on holidays, but wanted to treat ourselves at the end of our trip. This hotel is in the Lapad area, and is stunning. The Dubrovnik old town is easily accessible, as the public bus number 4 loops from immediately outside the hotel, and Pile Gate at the old town. Takes about 15 mins. We booked a Double room with sea views and balcony, but we were pleasantly surprised when they upgraded us to the junior suite at check-in. This is on the highest floor for rooms, and the view is breathtaking. It came with a beautiful welcome platter of fruit, biscuits and a bottle of wine. The room was very spacious, had a very comfortable bed, and good amenities. The suite even had a second bathroom/toilet! Staff at reception and at breakfast were incredibly friendly ( the latter even when the large breakfast area was almost full). Breakfast had a huge range of good quality food( hot and cold) which we thoroughly enjoyed. The outdoor pool area was pretty full the day we went, but able to get lounge chairs( however, it did take about 15 mins before any towels were available, although this didn’t bother us). We didn’t use the pool, but instead we decided to swim in the sea, using the steps available. We also used the indoor pool, spa, steam room and sauna for a couple of hours on the one rainy day, which was great as we are usually too busy out and about. A beautiful 4nights here to end our 3 week vacation, celebrating our honeymoon. Highly recommend.

CanadaThe carpet was outdated. The bed was hard. The beach was very rocky and the water was rough. The buffet could have been better. Food and drinks were overpriced. The resort slightly missed my expectations. It was just okay. I would look around for another hotel if I returned, however I wouldn't count out the Palace entirely.
Location was beautiful. Room was nice and had a great view. The pool and the beach area was nice. The buffet was satisfactory.

United StatesMy husband and I loved everything about this hotel!
This hotel is in a beautiful location, only a short 10-minute drive to Old Town. The views are beyond amazing. They have 2 pools, a wellness center, and 3 restaurants, all of which have excellent cuisine. There is also a walking path behind the hotel with a beautiful view of the coastline at the top. It is very clean and the staff is very professional. This hotel takes care of its guests, top-notch! We would absolutely go back again!

United KingdomNo complimentary water nor snacks in room. Hotel bar ran out of biscuits very early (eg 20:00) when we had hot drinks twice ! On one day the chef cooking the omelettes either had difficulties with speaking English or an impolite manner - appeared very irritated by requests. Cramped gym - hard to position the bench and do floor exercises with a mat. Cost of airport transport is over double (99 Euro) compared to high quality 6 seater Mercedes people carriers of other taxi firms - which we used (47 Euro)
Breakfast greeting - extremely pleasant lady Marijana started the day for us with a short chat and lovely smile. Good choice in breakfast. Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi. Excellent bus no.4 to the Old Town is invaluable. Very nice lady cleaned our rooms on floor 9. You can get Euro 1.74 bus tickets from the shop in the hotel lobby rather than pay 2.50 on the bus.

United KingdomThe breakfast was yummy with good choice but could do with a bit of modernisation/refinement. Didn’t eat in fine dining restaurant but heard it was fabulous.
This review is based on staying in the newly refurbished wing of the hotel in an ambassador suite. The suite was spectacular - floor to ceiling windows, designer furniture, 2 bathrooms, gorgeous outdoor space with settees and sun loungers overlooking breathtaking sea views. The reserved sun loungers by the vip private small pool was a game changer - no getting up to get the beds early! Hotel location is great - easy walk to Lapad and short cab journey to old town (or bus right outside the hotel) The hotel GM is a true gentlemen, who couldn’t have done more to enhance our stay.

United KingdomCold coffee for breakfast 😩
The location was exceptional. The staff were lovely. The room maid was absolutely lovely. Breakfast full of choices. Only criticism the coffee was lukewarm warm which seems to be a general fault in a lot of hotels! The bus was right outside the hotel to take you to Old Town which was perfect. We enjoyed our stay very much.
