Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PeruNot something wrong with the place, if you have mobility problems, bear in mind that you have to climb lot of steps to reach the place.
The family that runs the place was extremely nice and very helpful with recommendations about the Old City, transport (google maps doesn't work for local buses) and places to visit. It's located in Lapad, but is very easy to go to Old City with local buses. In addition to this you have the beach very near (10 minutes walking approx).

Hidden gem within Dubrovnik, Milo was the most attentive and accommodating host you could ask for. His friendliness and care was exceptional and recommendations for beaches and restaurants made our experience even more authentic. There is no question he doesn’t have an answer for !! The views from our room were amazing and the cake Milo’s wife baked for us was delicious 😋 Will be coming back here as soon as we can !! ❤️❤️

United KingdomNothing specific but would be nice to have a kettle in the room for an early morning pick me up, although breakfast is available in the house at a small cost. A fridge was useful but really a room only accommodation.
The Room was clean and bed comfortable with a lovely balcony overlooking Lapad Bay in the distance. Location is good as you have options to stay around the Bay area or walk for about 50 minutes to Dubrovnik Old Town. Buses also available. House is high up so a lot of stairs from the Main Road, but there are roads with steep slopes which can get you close to the property. The host Milo was excellent, always available or contactable with very good knowledge of the area. Close to a rating of 10.

PolandIncredible view from the balcony, close to the beach and bar/restaurants/shops. Comfortable bed with many pillows to choose. Wonderful owner, Milo, who picked up us from the airport and during the way to the Apartment already explained everything. On the way back to the airport he took us to a view point, which was a surprise! Milo gives a lot of good recommendations. We also received a welcome drink and some sweets.

United StatesIt was NOT a negative to us, but if you have any difficulty with steps, you may need to choose a different place to stay. The steps add to the charm of the city and allowed us to see the gardens of private homes while walking up and down to the promenade.
We loved that our balcony had a spectacular view of the sea and the city. The host was friendly and knowledgeable about the city and area. He offers pickup and drop off from the airport, as well as interesting guided tours of nearby areas such as Medugorje and Montenegro.

United KingdomMilo is the perfect host! We arranged for him to pick us up from the airport for a reasonable price (and later we arranged for the return journey too which was no problem at all). Cocktails prepared by his wife on arrival at the apartment was a lovely touch and Milo offered lots of information on the drive in too. Our room was lovely, clean and the bed was so comfy. We found out that we needed to turn the shower on slowly or the force of the water sent the shower head spraying the bathroom! No issue with the water temp though! The view from the little balcony was stunning - we miss this already! There is a little shared kitchen area if you wish to use this and Milo sometimes watches TV there too, It was lovely having him greet us back of an evening if he was there, asking how our day was and making sure we were ok. There is a number of steps down to Lepad/Sunset Beach (around a 10 min walk in total) from the apartment so we cheated and did half steps and then walked down the street instead of using the 2nd set of steps. The bus stop is close by to access The Old Town or Gruz Port. Milo offered a few excursions and we left it rather late to ask if we could go to Bosnia & Hercegovina but this was no problem for Milo and he took us there, stopping along the way for photographs and telling us lots of things about the areas we were driving through as well as suggesting the most delicious food for lunch. Milo offered us free time as much as we needed at the places we stopped so we didn't feel rushed. The hospitality offered by Milo and his family is superb and I would highly recommend booking this apartment if you'd like a good base with a friendly and informative (and super helpful host!) Hvala Milo, Hvala.
