Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWifi coulda been better but who cares? We weren't there to be on our phones anyway. We had no problems streaming Netflix.
The pictures in the ad do not do the view justice. If the weather cooperates, it is just stunning. We traveled as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids 13&7 yo). We rented Unit 3 which was on the top level in the middle, 2 bdrm 1 bth. The first thing we noticed upon arrival was how clean it was. Immaculate. Then you see the view from the deck and the front bedroom and it is amazing. The apartment had everything we could imagine to cook or prepare meals with, which we did. There are sun chairs on the dock, enough for 2 per unit. There are also 5 SUP boards, enough for 1 per unit but easy enough to use 2 as not all are in use at the same time. The apartment had the best coffee maker ever - bring your own beans, unground. With the touch of a button you get the cup of your choice! There was also a drip machine as well. The host was very friendly and easy to communicate with. There are 2 restaurants about 5k away, otherwise it is a 20-30 minute drive in either direction (Starigrad or Karlobag)to dine out (many more options in Starigrad vs. Karlobag). Tommy Hipermarket in Starigrad is the largest grocery store - it gets very busy. There are some smaller grocery stores a bit closer. We recommend bringing as many groceries as you can handle that you think you will need to avoid having to leave the water to go shopping. We ate breakfast and lunch in the apartment, dining in Starigrad each evening and that seemed to work well. There are 55 steps from the upper level to the dock at the water. Something to keep in mind if you have little ones or others who need to always go back to the apartment or have issues with stairs. We found no problems with our family. There is a gas and a charcoal grill on sight. Reef Booties or Water Shoes are a must. There were no sea urchins while we were there but it is a rock bottom. If needed, tourist shops in town sell them.

FinlandCharlene is a really clean and cozy place, in a great location and with a sea view. Easy to enjoy seascape and stars. You can find all the necessary and more. You can swim from your own terrace by walking down the stairs. We will never forget so kind and helpful lady. She gave tips for our trips and did everything to make us comfortable. Thank you for everything! We recommend! ❤️

Czech RepublicI could not like the fact that there was no sandy beach, only rocks everywhere. But this is typical for all of Croatia. And it almost did not interfere with enjoying the sea.
I really enjoyed my vacation in this place. The apartment has everything you need for everyday life and even more. Almost every day there were very beautiful views from the terrace which has everything from ashtrays to sunbeds. Very clean and tidy. On the territory of the apartment grow fruits that give local calories.

AustriaWe have stayed in the apartement with two bedrooms. The second bedroom is unfortenately next to the street with only a small window which you cannot open properly. Therefore there is not much possibility for fresh air in this room and motorbikes and cars are loud. There is nothing to do around than swim and sunbath. For all people who are satisfied with that it is a perfect apartement. The way to the Paklenica Nationalpark is a 25 minute drive on a curvy street. You have to be aware if this.
The big terrace with perfect seaview and stunning sundowns was incredible! The livingroom and one bedroom opening to the terrace are nice and friendly. There is everything you need in the kitchen and the host is really friendly.
