Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

SerbiaThe problem was the service during dinner. By rough calculation at least 10 additional servers were needed, table turnaround times were sometimes more than 10 minutes and at times half hour or more. Who we assume were managers were also jumping in to help but it was just so short staffed. All water and refreshments are served by staff thus at times making it impossible to even get drinks.
This is a late review for the start of season(late june) and hotel wise everything was perfect as far as the facilities go, and bar staff etc. The swim up rooms are great with private sun-beds and covered by private umbrellas and palm trees. The swim up pool was enough to allow for quick jump and making the temps of 40C bearable. The evening entertainment was great as well room service.

We got an early check in and a free room upgrade to the deluxe junior suite with swim-up pool and we loved it! Everything was amazing, staff, service, cleanliness and the overall vibe of the hotel. Everything about it was very peaceful and zen. Daily parking rate is 8 EUR. The beach in front of the hotel has about 50 free of charge plastic loungers for the hotel guests, all in the shade below the pine trees. Other (wooden) loungers on the beach can be used by all beach visitors (including those who are not guests of the hotel) and cost 15 EUR per lounger. We had half-board and greatly enjoyed the variety of food that was served for breakfast and dinner. The food in the beach restaurant Pink Cricket was good. Overall - amazing experience, a perfect weekend getaway. We will surely come again.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaThe dinner options were somewhat limited, particularly in terms of the variety of meats offered. Expanding the menu to include a wider range of meat dishes would significantly enhance the dining experience. This minor drawback aside, the rest of my stay was pleasant and well-managed.
The staff were exceptionally nice and incredibly helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. Breakfast was a highlight, offering a delicious variety of options. The sea view from the pool area was breathtaking, and the sunbeds were exceptionally comfortable, perfect for relaxing by the water. The room size was just right, providing ample space, and the bathroom was notably spacious and well-appointed. Overall, this hotel delivered an outstanding experience with its excellent service and amenities. Highly recommended!

SwedenDinner service in canteen (yes it feels like a canteen) is lacking quality. Sometimes difficult to find dressed tables and long wait to place beverage order which means you eat half the meal without drinks. Also at 9PM exactly starts the competition of making the most noise possible while clearing the buffet, crazy how much noise it’s possible to make while stacking plates, staff clearly want you out from there.
Nicely located hotel at the very end of Tucepi beach surrounded by pine trees, clean rooms with beautiful view from balcony. Pools and closeness to the beach. Breakfast was good and warm dishes at dinner overall very tasty.

UkraineIf we talk about the disadvantages regarding the rooms, then I didn’t really like the holey towels and bed linen. The baseboards were chipped in places, the edge of the sink, but everything else was in very good condition and clean. The restaurant is understaffed, in my opinion, because empty plates were not always taken away and drinks were not always offered. Despite the fact that everything is very tasty, dinners are more about just eating, and not about the atmosphere. It’s more like a dining. Dinners end at 9 pm. And this is the time by which you need to finish eating, but not come in, because then the staff starts madly banging dishes, running, noisy cleaning and all this “on your head”, as if you don’t exist. Paid drinks, including water, especially in glass, is normal practice in restaurants, there are no complaints about this. But in my opinion, at other time there should be a source of drinking water, filtered, for example. The beach is public. Since this year sun loungers are paid for hotel guests as well. This is also a generally accepted concept. There are also free sun loungers in the shade of trees, which have an incredible smell, and where the chances of getting sunburn are minimal. In addition, if you want, you can lie on the sun loungers near the pool, and just go down to the sea. The path is short. However, I really didn’t like that locals and NOT hotel guests use the pools, and also occupy those sun loungers for guests, and this is not controlled in any way... For me, the big minus was smoking in public places, especially on the beach. And this with such a high risk of fires! Everything is strewn with cigarette butts. Instead of sea breeze and the smell of pine, you have to inhale cigarette smoke. Even on the veranda during dinner, despite the prohibition sign, people smoke. Horrible cocktails at the pool bar and on the beach. I do not recommend
I really like the Makarska Riviera for its mix of mountains, pine forests and sea. I love the Adriatic Sea for its purity and transparency of water. The hotel is in a fabulous place - right on the seashore near the Osejava forest park at the very beginning of Tučepi, a little away from the city noise, but everything is within walking distance. The room is spacious, well-cleaned. The bed has a comfortable hard mattress. The room had everything you need. The staff was friendly, always ready to help. Delicious and varied breakfasts and dinners. A good choice for vegetarians. Several swimming pools with a beautiful view. The beach right next to the hotel with a good entry into the sea, from which also a beautiful view of forest and mountains opens up. We arrived just after the fire, which we found out on the way to the hotel. By the time we arrived, it had already been put out. On the mountains behind the hotel and further along Tučepi, black spots are visible - burnt areas of forest. After the rain and on several other nights there was a burning smell, and a lot of charred wood washed up on the shore. Dry trees, high temperatures, unconcerned people - all this leads to terrible consequences. Of course, the hotel has nothing to do with it, but tourists should keep in mind that this is not uncommon during the hot period, and can cause discomfort. Thanks to the hotel that in connection with this problem, although I do not know the exact reason, they changed the room with a mountain view to a sea view.

PolandWe were expecting an amazing experience based on the pictures and opinions online and we were not wrong. Since the beginning the staff has been attentive and kind. We were offered help with the luggage and advised on the shortcut to our room, which was very nice of them to mention. We also got an upgrade to an exceptional room and we were stunned by the view and the swim up pool. The food was epic. The variety in the hotel’s restaurant was more than enough. We were excited to come back for every meal. The architecture is outstanding and we enjoyed the look of the hotel. The location is very convenient as it takes only a few steps to get to the beach. We had an amazing time and we truly appreciate that we could easly relax in such a great environment.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaI would include more salads at dinner - my personal preference.
Everything was excellent.Got an upgraded room, so that was a surprise.Hotel is really clean, has good air conditioning, close to the beach. You do not have a feeling that it is overcrowded even though it was booked fully.Food is also excellent. Staff is polite, and helpful, I have to mention Marija and Aleksander at the omelette desk, they were especially nice. And the best thing is a cute cat named Jadranka at the beach bar. Overall, best hotel i have stayed in on adriatic coast.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaToo few sun beds, not a single day we managed to get a sun bed, that’s a pity for a 5* hotel. Children and adults that are not hotel guests come and enjoy pools, absolute no control of who is coming. No sun beds at the beach that belong to the hotel, strange for a 5* hotel. Manicure with nail polish-90 euros! And the worse thing, you cannot get a glass of water. I needed to pay 5 euros to take my meds. So a very good 4* hotel, but absolutely not a 5*.
Central, clean, modern, good food, nice pool area.

IrelandTwo small complaints - you had to pay for water at dinner - €4.50 per bottle !! We could easily drink 3 at one sitting. In 35+ degrees heat outside, this seems a ludicrous policy, especially as water is free at breakfast and from the bar during the day. I don't think this is good enough for a 5-star hotel. Similarly, there is no coffee/tea for after dinner to go with dessert. Again, this is supplied at breakfast. I think this should have been available to guests.
We chose to stay in the Jadran after 10 days of touring Croatia. It was pure heaven - the pools were spotless and the infinity one was to die for. The beach is only on the doorstep. Staff were available (never seen so many cleaners) but not intrusive. We chose half board and the food was really good - however, with buffet, you do get a bit tired of the same style of food. On saying that, our two teenagers ate all around them and really enjoyed the variety. The rooms were very spacious and we got upgraded to a lovely sea view. Fresk towels every day and a lovely comfortable bed. Blinds were blackout so great nights of sleep. There is some nice live music in the evening. There are a range of tours available and I did the skywalk jeep one - great fun and an excellent afternoon. Tucepi is a quiet area of Croatia which suited us. We didn't really try the local nightlife as we were on a deliberate relaxing period of the holiday but there were plenty of bars - we had some lovely cocktails in the evening. I don't think its a place for great nightlife though. Markeska seems to be much more lively. I am not sure I could do 2 weeks of doing very little but I highly recommend this hotel for a few days of luxurious relaxation.

United KingdomUnable to get water unless you buy bottles from the restaurant at €4.50 a time, closest shop is a mile away where it is slightly cheaper, I have always been provided water refill facilities on site so this was disappointing. This was advertised as split on my booking.com but it turned out to be an hour and a half away, not much in the area itself but the location is pretty. Entertainment is a singer in the evening, not to my taste so wasn’t much to do in the evenings and unless you’re travelling as a couple it’s a bit too romantic. Looking at the cost of the other hotels and having stayed here, I would probably say it’s a little overpriced but not drastically.
2 pools available, comfy and spacious rooms, gorgeous view from the outside seating area in the restaurant. Food was slightly repetitive but tasty and plenty of it. The setting is beautiful, right on the beach, can see the other islands from the hotel and both pools look out onto the beach. Quiet hotel, at all times, which makes for a peaceful break and restful night sleep.

SlovakiaThere are many birds in the area, making it difficult to find a sunbathing bed that isn't covered in bird droppings. During dinner, you have to purchase beverages, and the prices are outrageous—4.40€ for a small cola. It was hard to find clean tableware, every other fork or glass was dirty. Overall, I believe the hotel should focus more on cleanliness, as we also had ants in our room. Another minus is you have to pay for parking and for sunbathing beds on the beach.
The food was exceptional. Every meal I tried was delicious. There were plenty of options to choose from at both breakfast and dinner. There was also a wide variety of seafood available.

The waiter at dinner could have been nicer and met the same level of service as most everyone else we encountered. Loved the lady at the omelette bar and juice bar. Super sweet. Reception was awesome! We would recommend this hotel without any hesitation. Room was spacious. Beds were comfortable. Thank you for an enjoyable time in Croatia.
