Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location, size, amenities and warmth of the hostess. Unit has own bath, fridge washing machine. Ms. Contina and her son were so gracious and kind. She checked on my comfort and wellbeing daily. Her son drove me around town to look for my wallet that I lost. No way would I have been able to search and still make it to airport on time. Can’t think enough. I had the best sleep and time ever!! Thank you!! Will rent from you again when I return.

We were not staying here originally, but we arrived in Dubrovnik to realize that the person in charge of our other accommodation had neglected to send us instructions and was not answering the phone or emails. However, our hostess at Topolo saved the day (night really). She received us and let us in at 3 am. She was helpful and friendly our whole stay. We are very grateful.

United StatesWe have been traveling around Europe staying at many hotels and apartments. It is very special when discovering a Gem as with Topolo! We arrived to a wonderful host greeting us…as if we were family. She toured us thru our apartment/flat which was so much more than expected. The kitchen is MORE than a kitchenette…a full size fridge and all the kitchen amenities needed. We loved sitting around the cozy kitchen nook table with morning coffee. The bed is top quality very good nights rest with awesome sheets! (A favorite of our stay)…it was just the two of us so we didn’t use the ADDITIONAL bedroom with a queen size bed …the washing machine in the large bathroom is such a great PLUS when traveling. Plenty of fresh towels and soaps. When walking thru old town and noticing the high numerous high priced apartments squeezed in the middle of all the activity…it was sure a pleasure to be staying outside of the hustle bustle in a quiet quaint area yet a fun 15 min walk to the action or grab the bus line one min walk out of the apartment! . Thankyou Topolo Team for a wonderful memorable stay with you. We hope this review is received positively for all your future guests!!

Czech RepublicWe could smell the drain occasionally (not all the time). No idea where it was coming from since the bathroom looked new and everything was clean. A very minor inconvenience, nothing that anyone should worry about. Just wanted the host to know because I did not have a chance to say that in person before leaving.
The host has a good sense of dry humor. The communication was good and she provided good instructions to find the apartment before arrival. She even saved us some money by showing us free parking nearby. The old city is 15-20 minutes walk from the apartment. The bed was pretty comfortable. It was a good apartment for a short-term stay in Dubrovnik.

FinlandHost was such a lovely lady! Made us feel very welcome, she made sure we had water in the fridge and with us when we went exploring. Lend us more towels if needed. We cancelled our Uber because she wanted to take us to the bus station herself. The apartment was very nice and quiet, no complaints! It was about 20min walk with beautiful views to Old Town. Bus stop was almost infront of the apartments. We totally recommend! ❤️
