Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe only found one cafe that served breakfast which was busy and you wait a while to be served we left as we're not seen to after 20 Minutes wait such a shame as looked a nice cafe I think it was called coffee and cake we didn't see any other places to pop in for breakfast if that's what you like Airport small and no food facilities you will find it hard to.purchase sandwiches to take to airport you may have to make your own plenty of bakeries for sweet pastries etc.
Host was marvelous met us at the accommodation explained the area restaurants to visit and ferry times to other islands first class service was on hand for any inquiries you may have even made sure our taxi arrived and no problems with the pick up Area around 20 minutes walk to old town which is fabulous taxi around 5 euros back and forth Please use Uber as can get ripped off price wise Spar and Lidl within walking distance if you want bits and pieces we bought eggs and had them for breakfast local market sells fruit and a milk man serving fresh milk out of his van Great time had in Zadar beautiful people and plenty to discover and do.

United KingdomWe had a great stay for our last couple of nights in Zadar. The host was very easy to talk to and gave us good advice of things to do and places to visit. The apartment had everything you would need, and very good air-con (a necessity in July). It is well situated, within a nice 15 minute walk to the centre. You have everything you would need nearby and if we were unsure about anything the host was great at answering any questions. We loved our stay in Zadar and would come back in a heart beat!

United StatesThe WiFi signal wasn't strong enough to fully cover our room and would occasionally cut out. Our solution was to sit closer to with WiFi router when we were in our room.
Elvin is a wonderfully gracious and generous host! Upon arrival he provided detailed instructions on nearby food and drink options, and how best to visit the nearby islands via boat/ferry. Kitchen was well stocked and coffee, tea, and bottle water were provided. We especially enjoyed getting to chat with Elvin and his wife while sharing some wine. Would love to visit again!

The place is very clean, well equipped and Elvin, the host, is absolutely amazing. The apartment is centrally located, so it was very easy to reach main tourist attractions. Everything was far beyond our expectations. For sure we will come back here. Highly recommend it 😁

PolandThe location has some advantages, for example a big shopping mall with SPAR supermarket just 5 minutes away on the way to the "old town" center, useful to buy stuff for breakfast etc. On the other hand, walking 25 minutes everyday to the city center/beach and back while 30-35 degrees outside may be frustrating. However, it is still cheaper to stay at Elvin's apartment and get a bolt/uber (usually arrives in 3-5 minutes even at night) for around 30-35 kun twice or even 4 times a day then booking other apartment in the "old town". Besides, a walk back at night is also a pleasure. To sum up: price to quality balance is really great. If we ever visit Zadar again we will stay at Elvin's apartment for sure.
The owner is a super helpful and easy-going guy, we had a short 3-nights stay, so it was important not to waste time, Elvin recommended us best places to eat and see, also gave us some useful advice which allowed us to save money or avoid sunburn :) The apartment itself was clean and well-equipped, air conditioning worked perfectly so we could chill and sleep well.
