Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe apartment had all of the comforts of home and then some. The patio/terrace area was the perfect spot to enjoy the wine our host left in the kitchen for us. The apartment was quiet, clean and not too far from the beautiful Dubrovnik city center. We hope to return to Apartment Vukic in the near future.

Lovely apartment, very clean and spacious, with comfortable bed and air-conditioning. It is in a great location for the old town and the restaurants, but there is also the option of self-catering. There is also a lovely swimming spot close by and a beach. The owner, Anna, is very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of tips at the beginning of our stay. This would be a great option for someone who likes to be a bit more independent and is quite active on holiday.

PolandStaying at Apartment Vukic was a real pleasure. We were warmly welcomed by the host, who shared lots of useful information for first-time visitors and brought some tasty home-made surprise. During the stay we did not feel like customers, but like real guests. Apartment equipped with everything you need and more: from wine opener and pots to towels, soap and air conditioner. Great terrace, where you can have your breakfast under tangerine tree or relax under olive tree. Located 10-15 minutes walking distance from the Old Town, in a peaceful area. Strongly recommend!

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing - would return in a heartbeat!
+ Spotlessly clean! + Kitchen is well supplied for self-catering for any length of stay. + Spacious and very comfortable and even though next door to the host, it felt completely private. + Secure parking, and do recommend that unless visiting places outside of Dubrovnik, leave the car there. + Host was so caring and hospitable. Devoted time to explaining must-sees and routes in and around the old town and wider Dubrovnik. She also brought us some cake made with grapes from her vines. Just a genuinely warm person that made our stay extra lovely. + Apartment had absolutely everything you will need to get started from extra towels, full sized shower gel and shampoo, ample toilet paper, washing powder, coffee sachets, teas, sugar, salt etc. + Lovely garden terrace with a table and loungers. Catches the afternoon sun. + Good location. About a 7-10 minute walk from the Old Town (downhill) and easy to catch the bus back up, as the bus stop is right outside the Old Town Walls, and you can get off at the first or second stop. We just pressed the bell once we were on. If you get the Dubrovnik Pass, bus journeys are included

This property felt so homey! It’s huge and has the comforts of home. Parking a huge plus! And the walk to and from the old town was easy. I was so happy to be away from the hustle and bustle but close enough. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here!

This was our favourite apartment on our 5 week trip to Europe. The yard is full of fruit trees and the patio is very private. We felt very safe with the locked security gate. Anna was an amazing host who became our Croatian friend. She treated us to her traditional coffee, coconut cake and cherries from her tree. She had great tips for touring Dubrovnik!

CanadaI would not changed anything!
We stayed here for five (5) during our month long stay in Croatia. Originally, I had booked accommodations in Cavtat, but after a bit more research, I changed our stay to here. The location was perfect, about a 15 minute walk downhill to the Pile Gate and having secured parking was a bonus. The apartment was a bit difficult to find, our GPS insisted that the road had no access so contact the hostess ahead of time to get directions. Our hostess (Ana) lives on site and was available to address any queries. She met us when we arrived, helped us park and showed us the apartment. We really enjoyed spending time on the terrace. She also explained how to get to Old Town – downhill on the way there, Uphill on the way back. The apartment looked just like the posted pictures, it was very clean and well appointed. The kitchen and bathroom were separate from the living/sleeping area and we enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace, drinking a glass of wine, while planning the next day’s activities. It was such a tranquil oasis after the hustle and bustle of Old Town Dubrovnik. The kitchen was well equipped, we ate most of our meals in as after over three (3) weeks of touring, we were ready for simple meals. Also, we found Dubrovnik shockingly expensive. The Wifi worked well throughout our stay and there was ple There was a large grocery store nearby, within walking distance and a bakery just up the road. Ana is also an excellent baker and shared apple cake as well as coconut cake with us. Some toiletries were also provided along with detergent for the washing machine. She also had a small care package waiting for us, fruit, coffee and tea for our first morning. We purchased a 3 day Dubrovnik pass and used buses the first 3 days, we even took a bus once into Old Town, when returning, get off at the entrance to the cemetery. This will save you the long, steep climb back.

NetherlandsThe hosts were fantastic. Super friendly. Went out of their way to arrange a highchair for our baby, even though it was not advertised. We enjoyed picking clememtines from the garden. The hostess even surprised us with fruit and cake! Excellent location. The walk back up was not as bad as some people commented, even for us not sporty people. Just don't take the steps back up, take the road. Nice restaurants nearby. Comfy bed. Lot's of tv-channels (sports and hbo). Very clean apartment. More spacious than it looked on the pictures.

A super clean, spacious apartment with a big, comfortable bed, a nice private terrace, very practical equipment and safe on-site parking. Old town is around 10 minutes walk. Ana, the lovely host waited us with little treats, a cold room and gave us a lot of tips and interesting information about the city and the locations to visit. We would definitely recommend staying here! :)

PolandBest way to stay in Dubrovnik! The location is perfect - just 10 min walk to the Pile Gate, but you can always use a bus, which is nearby. The apartment itself is more than enough - it's well equipped, spacious, and clean. And you can use a tranquil private terrace surrounded by green, with a mountain view. The host is extremely friendly and helpful - we received a warm welcome, although we've arrived late at night due to the flight delay - but it wasn't a problem at all; we've been also given a lot of useful tips, there was no problem with leaving baggage for a few hours after check-out. All in all, it made our stay in Dubrovnik an unforgettable experience. We would definitely come back.

United KingdomGenuinely wasn’t anything, they even gave us a gorgeous parting gift made by the girl in the family, which is proudly displayed at home :) thank you so much.
Wonderful hosts with a beautiful dog! They were very conscientious about her as well- she is kept away from the apartment so no worries if you aren’t a fan of dogs :) The location is brilliant, 10 minutes or so from the old city, along a reasonably easy and totally safe route :) 60 steps only- minimal compared to in Dubrovnik itself haha. When we walked in we were so surprised at the size of the apartment! It’s amazing! And with its own private terrace outside as well. We were given fresh fruits and a lot of advice about where is best to go. Plus were allowed to leave our car in the locked parking area after checkout time, because they had the space. Thank you so much :)

United StatesEverything was amazing
The apartment is so cozy, comfortable and impecable. It has everything, comfortable beds, a/c, back yard, washing machine, etc. Anna was so lovely and attentive, she gave us a tour of the place and a guide with some recommendations to the city. We were even lucky to get a slice of her husband’s birthday cake, which was delicious. It’s about 10 minutes walking to the old town, when you leave the apartment you walk down some stairs(very easy) and it’s a decline to the city. Coming back we just got an Uber (for 5-7 Euros) because we were tired of all the walking. The best part is that you can park your car in the patio, it’s impossible/expensive to park anywhere in Dubrovnik. I’m glad we didn’t choose to stay inside the walls of old town, you can’t bring your car, it’s so noisy and crowded. This apartment is an excellent choice.
