Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaSince we booked for a apartment we thought we will be alone but the actual kitchen was too small and in a shared space so there was no real privacy. Also to walk from one room to another you also have to go through shared space which is not always comfortable considering that we have kids. We booked for apartment thinking that we will be alone.
Host was very nice and responsive. Apartment was super clean.

CroatiaWe don't like the place because there was 2 rooms with keys and a very small kitchen separated from the room.At the entrance of the corridor we meet stranger people next to us and we felt like we are not in the apartment.The maid entered on our room while we are staying sleeping afternoon , I do not recommended this acomodation to anyone.

The apartment had everything you need, very clean and comfortable. Balcony with an incredible view of the sea, yachts!!! Hospitable hosts, didn't want to leave! Awesome location, close to beaches, lots of entertainment, restaurants. Everything is great!!!I recommend Brela to everyone! We drove all the coast and Brela is really the most beautiful! We'll definitely be back!

Bosnia and HerzegovinaWe stayed for two nights and everything was as described on Booking, even better. The owner is rather welcoming, kind and very warm, he was really helpful, with parking our car and all the information. The view is exceptional. The terrace has the awning which is very useful if the sun is too strong or if it rains. The apartment is extremely clean and the cleaning lady came in to tidy up the following day after our arrival. It had cups, glasses, utensils, everything you may need for essential things such as coffee, quick breakfast, lemonade, etc. The bed is also comfortable. The beach is really close, the only thing is that there are some 40 stone steps to climb up from the beach, but given everything else this is a minor detail. We would definitely come again. Thank you Mr Milan for your hospitality.

Slovakia1. The owner and his brother are watching you all day long like hawks every movement you do. I did not like this at all! It’s annoying! The owner is a very paranoid man who is a good man but neurotic due to age which is understandable however it makes you feel unwanted often! If this was my father, I would be supporting him more, he definitely can’t handle this alone and it stresses him out! 2. The parking is far away, and that’s ok but what is not ok is that other guests can have a good parking in front of the apartment but a family with 2 kids and an old woman need to park 2 km away. This is something the owner should prioritize people with kids and who are staying for longer like we did and not a young couple who are the ones who can walk 2 km every day. 3. It’s impossible to communicate with the owner due to language barrier. Response time through booking was very slow to none before arrival. 4. Constantly pushed to leave before 9 am on the last day, an exaggerated check out time from my POV and not able to park the car was not nice. We had to pay 20 euros for parking on the last day! 5. The kitchen outside the room is an improvised kitchen made in an old bathroom and it’s hard to cook there additionally other guests cross through there so there is no privacy and this is not visible in the ad at all. A wall or something could be done there to have more privacy. 6. The TVs do not work. Fridge inside the kitchen is very weak, we didn’t use it. Air conditioning in second room doesn’t work well either. You can see that the owner is alone there and he obviously can’t check that everything works properly however if you offer something, you need to make sure it works for every guest.
1. Impressively clean. We were unexpectedly having the room cleaned every day, this was the best! 2.. The location is good as well. Short stairs to the beach and Brela center. 3. The price considering the season I think is fair. 4. The terrace is small but beautiful and enough for 4 people to have a perfect breakfast.
