Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAwful smell from the drains which we had most days and was very off-putting, loads of steps to get to the beach, would have liked to have better evening entertainment, we didn't actually know about the tui blue app until the last few days of our stay as nobody mentioned it during check in, parking is expensive - we didn't fancy paying 8 eur/day for our whole stay so that was a bit of a pain as free parking very limited and further to walk, restaurant staff doing amazing job but they're definitely over worked as we could see them doing several shifts in a row, everyday.
We thought the food was great with a lot of variety, location right by the beach with amazing clear water, decent drink selection, pool table and ping pong and other games/books, most of staff very friendly and helpful, fabulous sea view from our room, Thea's coffee bar amazing! (we ended up using it a lot as the machine coffee was so so), TUI rep is there daily if you want excursions (we had a car so did everything independently).

United KingdomIf you want to go out and see the sights, perhaps pick somewhere a bit closer to a big town. However, we were there for four days to flop in the sun, so the isolation suited us. The food would have become repetitive if we had stayed for longer than a few days. The spa was distinctly average and the staff kept trying to upsell top-up treatments and skincare, which was not very relaxing. The games faclities (pool table and table tennis) were tired and in need of light repair.
This is a secluded hotel in a beauty spot at the bottom of a mountain. The beach (provided you have shoes to walk on the pebbles) is stunning, the rooms are huge and the sea view from our enormous balcony was breathtaking. We did a paint and wine class which was great fun and good value for money. The buffet and drinks were varied and good value (The Night on Thursday is especially good). The staff could not do enough for you; they were incredibly welcoming and efficient on the front desk (we had a problem with the safe that was sorted in minutes) and in the restaurant (very fast table turnaround).

SlovakiaGood food but sometimes there could have been bigger variety. Paid beach sunbeds were a let down, it also led to more people around the pool and long queues at the pool bar. Quite often there were lots of wasps near pool bar which wasn't pleasant.
Overall the hotel was pleasant, had great views and quite clear sea.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaFood was a but uninspiring but believe me you will gain some weight here just from the amount of it. You have to be early at the pool to reserve good places.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaRule about towels for a pool is (my opinion) funny…you get card and you switch card for towel - OK…but you are allowed to change towel every two days…strange!
Location is perfect, stunning views, very kind stuff…

RomaniaSome of the staff are rushed and they come out as rude. The organization of the bar and restaurant staff is not great. You had to wait sometimes quite a lot at the restaurant till they cleaned the tables for you and also at the bar every barman prepared the same cocktail in diferent way so it didn't taste the same. The cutlery is very used, especially the glasses are worn out and also sometimes dirty. The parking in front of the hotel is small, full and with pay. Thankfully they have a small parking nearby which they offer free of charge. Although the policy is to not reserve sun beds, the ones in the shades are reserved from 7 am every day. For those with knee problems, the majority of rooms have a lots of stairs to get to the beach, which may pose a problem.
Hotel has a very nice view, the location is great. Lots of activities (make sure to download the tui app). Staff in general friendly. Food was ok and varied. All inclusive has a good variety of cocktails and drinks included which also tasted good. The cleanliness of the hotel was in general very good.

SwitzerlandPlease clean the rooms a bit more and change the towels in the bathroom. Also, the food should have more variety in the recipes, as the meals were almost the same every day
I really liked the peaceful environment. For people who truly want to relax, this hotel provides exactly the relaxation they need.

IrelandI didn’t like the food, very salty. Curtains, mattress, mattress cover and towels were worn out. The salads and fruits did not look appealing. Not a great selection of fruits or salads.
I liked the cake section, lots of variety, tasty. Clean, good room service, location is good.

GermanyBreakfast was good too, but the coffee machine was terrible—the cappuccino was a disaster. Luckily, there’s a café by reception for real coffee, but a better breakfast machine is needed.
The food was great, especially lunch and dinner. The pool bar and cleaning service were excellent. The water aerobics, led by Anita (if I remember correctly), was very enjoyable. Great experience overall!

LithuaniaThe whole vibe of a hotel is great. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food is very tasty. There are so many activities going on in the hotel premises that you barely have time to relax in your room. Parking is limited. However, hotel staff would help with parking and even drive us there if it's further from the hotel

UkraineI found out only while checking in- The sunbeds with umbrellas on the beach in front of the hotel are NOT included in the all-inclusive package. So, you'll need to pay extra 30Eur/ day if you decide to use them. I didn't like that those sunbeds took up most of the space on the beach, making it a bit hard to use just a towel. Most of those sunbeds were empty. The beach is somewhat public, but the beds were private? I wish the hotel would rent out those sunbeds so that guests wouldn't have to worry about that. There is another public beach in the nearby village, but you might encounter kids there. Some chairs in hotel need replacement. The first impression was that building wanted some refreshment. Some rooms have weak soundproofing- the noise from conditioners and laundry may be disturbing. But in the end of our stay we loved the place. Ps: there in no pharmacy nearby.
The trip from split airport to the hotel took almost 2 hours by taxi, but it was worth it. The natural scenery was beautiful. Breakfast was plentiful, and the food was delicious—there’s something for everyone’s taste. !Note that there is a dress code in the all-inclusive restaurant in the evening, so you’ll have dinner in the company of well-dressed people, which I liked. The staff was super helpful, and I appreciated the locals. They even sent a cake to our room on my birthday—many thanks to the receptionist for noticing. The hotel is in a very quiet part of Makarska, so you won’t be disturbed by loud music. The sea was beautiful and crystal clear. The small stones on the beach were a bit uncomfortable for our feet at first, but we got used to them after a day. There’s a small village next to the hotel, offering a pleasant promenade. Also, note that if you take a taxi to the nearest town, you might find local, original olive oil made in a local factory.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaUnfortunately, the hotel no longer has a concession on the beach in front, it is more of a local political problem, I would say...
The staff in direct contact with the guests are friendly and ready to serve. Less language barriers in the restaurant, but generally OK. Special praise for the team at the Pool Bar and Lounge Bar.

Czech RepublicThe beach is full of stones, without shoes impossible to enter. Stuff should clean at least few paths so that people could go into water. Second day smell of shits on the beach which continues for another 4 days. Got room close to some technical room, noice coming out 24/7. Reception told us they will call maintenance, but they never did. When I close the technical room door so that the noice is not so loud, they immediatelly reopened them. Really strange behaviour. Lot of stairs, not suitable for disabled people.
Nice room, comfortable beds. Minifridge available. Fine food. Beach bar. Evening performance different singers was nice. Nice beaches not far away from hotel.

RomaniaNo local food for breakfast, for example Prsut. Breakfast is organized mostly for English guests. Actually most of the food choices are designed to satisfy the English guests Cleanliness of the dishes was not satisfactory this year. This was a constant problem for the entire 2 weeks that we stayed there. Staff starts to take out of the restaurant the food prior to the ending hours and you need to eat in a hurry Room cleanliness this year also not satisfactory. There are bird nests on the balcony The room in which we stayed really needed a renovation in my opinion. At least for the amount of money that we paid Parking, as always, a big problem What is with this idea of 4 small bottles of water per day? I don’t drink alcohol, but I think I am aloud to drink water when I am thirsty.
Excellent scenery Good food Staff at the front desk very very friendly and helpful

HungaryThe breakfast is very much catered to the needs of the English, and we missed Croatian dishes (e.g., kulen and pršut were only available at dinner). You have to pay for sunbeds at the beach, so by 7:30 in the morning, there is already a line at the pool to secure a spot for the day (otherwise, it’s impossible to find a free spot during the day). The service is a bit disorganized.
the receptionsts are kind, the food is delicious (lunch and dinner), cleanliness, the room is elegant, the hotel is located in a beautiful area, and the panorama is wonderful
