The receptionist Fernanda who first assisted me was rude and did not care about explaining the difference in pricing from booking and what they charged.

The location and staff where very attentive and courteous and always made sure we had what we needed. The A/C broke down in 2 of our rooms and they were speedy and providing another room and fixing one.

The wifi signal was very weak, I would not recommend it if you go meanwhile working online.

The pools were really nice, right in front of the beach. You have direct access to it from the pools. The staff were very helpful, polite and attentive. The room service was excellent, and the food was simple but nice. I recommend you the breakfast.

As much as we love to explore surroundings, we didn't want to leave this place. They just have everything. Restaurant, pool, ocean, massage, beautiful surroundings, and pretty sunset. Stayed there for 2 nights. Enjoyed everything. Stuff was really great!

The wifi didn't reach our room which was on the second floor

My only comment here, we booked a Arena suite as we have a toddler and we need to have some specific food / snacks in the room for her, there are notes that there is not food allowed unless we are in this type of room or one category above, on the first night I went to the restaurant to ask for cutlery and plates, the person behind the restaurant declined the plates and just provided me with cutlery but he did it in a very rude way, he said this room doesn't come with that, the look he gave me just made me feel like I did something wrong, definitely set up the tone of the service he was providing on that first day and based on that I was not keen to see him when he was doing the check out. Maybe worth to check your policy? Having a little kitchenette + fridge doesn't make much sense if no utensils are provided.

Returning to this hotel for second time now, it did not disappoint! All facilities were great, amazing plus: the massages, super relaxing to have this with the sound of the sea in the background! Jose Alfredo is a GEM, true example of Guatemalan hospitality!

it’s not in the town of Monterrico, but that’s a good thing because you don’t get the party people and noise. instead it’s a little away from monterrico on the beach.

excellent hotel. it was so beautiful. clean. and customer service is exceptional. everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and be helpful to you. the hotel is very well maintained and very very good for families. it’s a very safe and friendly. the beach is maintained and kept clean. and there is a lifeguard on duty all the time. if you want an enjoyable and peaceful and beautiful holiday then this is the hotel to stay at. it’s also close to the turtle release refuge

We walked out of our room and right into the ocean. This will now be our go to place when visiting Monterrico. The room was great pools were great, staff was PHENOMENAL!!! Thank you Cayman Suites for an excellent stay!

The room accommodations did not match the description on Booking.com. You advertised the Junior suite as having 2 beds and a sofa bed. The sofa bed is not longer offered, it was just a regular coach which created a problem as we did not have enough beds for our family.

Pool was beautiful, unfortunately the beach was a little rough, so not good for swimming while we were there. Black sand on the beach was dramatic and lovely. All the meals were delicious. Not much around the resort, so a great place to relax by the pool and read a book. Swim up bar was a nice add-on, and the bartender was friendly and made a great drink.

Wifi not accessible in my room. I had to pick it in the restaurant in order to have internet access.

The place is calm and well. The pool is OK. The restaurant have a good menu choice. The room was spacious with good bathroom. Good TV multichannel. The cleanliness is excellent. Staff very serviceable and friendly.

Pool was awesome. The view from our balcony was amazing and the sunset turned a bright red. I had never seen that before. It was an all-around wonderful stay.

towel management - we never received towel cards and even when presenting to staff was not given towels for pool. I did not like this at all.

Not many places to go outside of the resort. weren’t able to go into the ocean as the currents were extremely strong.

Perfect spot for just relaxing around or in the pool. Great swim-up bar. Very friendly and attentive staff. Nice rooms. Clean.
