Amazing location overlooking busy port . Great for watching comings and goings of ferries and yachts from balcony . We loved it . Huge apartment that is very clean and well equipped . Iakovina met us from ferry and gave us a very comprehensive run down of town and the island . She was great !. Also some great recommendations for restaurants . - Went to Mammo’s twice ( we never do this on holiday ) as the food is so good there . Would highly recommend - we will be back . Thanks so much Iakovina !

Nothing; it was a super comfortable stay. Really lived it!

The proximity to the port, being able to observe close up the comings and goings of vessels at the port, the water views, proximity to restaurants, car rental and bus stop. Syros itself is an interesting island with some lovely spots for swimming. Iavokina is a very warm and welcoming host, who provided us with a great introduction. She couldn't do more to make us feel welcome and at home!

Property was perfect! I must remember to check public holidays - it was Greek Easter so many shops were shut!

Great location overlooking the port. Really enjoyed watching the ferries come and go. Spotlessly clean with excellent facilities. It has plenty of outside space with a front balcony and back terrace. It’s on the 3rd floor but has a lift! The host was lovely meeting us off the ferry and making sure we were comfortable. Great restaurant recommendation - To Petrino - very authentic food and good value. No car needed we used the local bus to go around the island! Delighted by the apartment and Syros!

Bed was a little to hard for our taste.

We were welcomed by the host at the ferry and she helped us with our bags to the apartment. We were given an explanation of the apartment and good recommendations on where to eat and things to see. We had a late ferry and the host allowed us to leave bags in room until departure. Loved the action of the port and we were a short walk to everything.

As the apartment is right on the road in front of the port where the ferries come in and also next to the ship yard, there is so much noise. There is a road between the apartment and port and it is a very busy road. However, the minute you close the doors and windows and turn on the air conditioning, there is completely no sound. It is just wonderful and a peaceful sleep is assured.

What we didn't expect was to be met at the ferry port on our arrival to Syros. Our host recognised us from our booking.com photo, met us and led us to her apartment (which was too far from the ferry terminal). She showed us through the apartment, gave us the WIFI details and her Whatsapp number. She lives in the building and was on hand at a moments notice to assist, if and when we may have needed her. Unit apartment was better than described in the photos. Lots of room, fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, ultra comfy bed, location was brilliant (walk to everything including the bus to take us around the island and to various beaches). The bathroom and kitchen had all the things you would expect and more. There is a lift in the building so need to carry bags up the stairs to the third floor.

Absolutely nothing to dislike. I even quite enjoyed emptying the air con water bottles on the two balconies!

What a place! we were only there for 3 nights but by the time we left it felt like our own apartment right in the middle of town. Spotlessly clean, huge and full of lovely thoughtful touches. Right across the road from the ferry docks and the bus station. And the view is extraordinary. Add to all that the most wonderful host in Iakovina. She is fun, charming and responds incredibly quickly to messages.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this wonderful apartment.

The host greeted us as we got off the ferry and walked us to the apartment just across the road ... really! So simple if your arriving at Syros or heading out from there by ferry. The host took us upstairs to show us apartment and just as soon as she opened the door we were just amazed at how wonderful it was. It is a two bedroom apartment (twin bedded room set adjacent to lounge area / double bedroom at rear of apartment). These fantastic Welcome Home apartments are more than fully equipped with absolutely everything you'll need. The apartments are spotlessly clean and everything just appeared so new and shiny. As a couple we only used the double bedroom. The bed was super comfortable, the linen fresh (smelled gorgeous). Lots of wardrobe/drawer space in this nicely appointed high-ceilinged room with a flat-screen TV (there's a steam iron /ironing board in the wardrobe too). There is a balcony off the sitting room which is a delight to sit out on and watch the ships and ferries roll into port. Great place to people watch too. You're above a couple of lovely tavernas and an ice-cream parlour and I would advise you to try all of them as the food is just wonderful. There is also a larger terrace off the double bedroom where it is cooler morning through to late afternoon. The kitchen is modern and large with fridge/freezer, microwave, built-in oven /grill and electric rings, electric kettle, sandwich maker, Nescafe Gusto pod coffee machine as well as every pot, pan and utensil you will ever need for cooking. Many of you might never need to cook while on holiday (we didn't) but if you do - you're 100% covered for everything you'll need. The sitting room has three seater sofa, dining table / chairs and flat - screen TV set onto a nicely appointed wall unit. The bathroom is excellent with good shower system unfailing hot water supply, great lighting above mirror and this is also where the washing machine lives.

The owners of the taverna downstairs (not associated with the apartment) made a complaint because we were sweeping the balcony and something fell off. They were rude to us.
