Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe garden around the pool wasn't maintained and looked untidy. Grass wasn't cut, and weeds covered the path. Also, there were tiles coming off the bottom of the pool. My daughter cut her foot on the pool floor due to the missing tiles. And it would have been nice to have access to an umbrella to take to the beach.
Lovely spacious villa. Comfortable beds and very clean. Great location.

United KingdomDifficult to criticise but the only minor point was the upper level bedroom AC struggled to lover the temperature compared to the units downstairs. We didn’t report to the host during our stay because for us it was not a major problem.
The location is absolutely fantastic. The property is beautifully maintained and the garden with pool was perfect for a family with 3 children

United KingdomThey should have more floor mats around in terms of going in and out of the pool, getting the floor wet and slippy etc. And more towels per person would have been helpful. A high chair would have been helpful. The book said they provide a small amount of things like washing powder and (maybe) dishwasher tablets etc, but they didn’t. They should provide bin bags, I know it’s self catering but seeing as you can’t put paper in the toilet, bin bags should be supplied as standard. Pool was not as big as the pictures gave the impression they were and there was no slide as in the pictures. But still great!
Great amount of space. Really close to the beach, none-the-less nicely secluded. Having access to the studio meant that the newlyweds could be by themselves. Having a cot was excellent. The air con was excellent; made such a difference. Kitchen was well stocked.

The property was very clean, spacious and well-equipped. The pool was lovely and well-maintained and the gardens were beautiful. The host was easy to contact and responded promptly too. They even provided a folder with useful information about the house, pool and things to do around the area.

Very nice villa! Standard is just normal however was very spacious! Every bedroom had own bathroom. Very nice tarace, grill, and area with pool and sunbeds! Very quiet around! Location is good, just 2 min walking distance to the beach, and alongside of the beach few bars and restaurants.

SloveniaWasn’t very clean, the owner took its time to reply to our messages, they told us there is nothing there for the kids but we found lots of toys in the basement… They didn’t put much effort into our needs.
It was the same as on the pictures. Pool is nice, beach is close, house is very big (specially for only 3 people). Housekeeping comes every few days.

United Kingdomnothing. we had a fantastic stay.
Lovely Villa in quiet location, very close to the beach and walking distance to 10 cafe /beach bar/ restaurants, supermarkets and shops. We stayed in the Villa 2, which is actually a 1 bed apartment and a 2 bed apartment with a shared pool. This worked really well for our group (Lovely not to have to share with our adult children). Large parking area, with easy access also a bonus as some villas in this area of Corfu can have very steep driveways.

BelgiumThere is no contact with the owner/manager as check-in/out is self made, no one to explain the area around only a very kind maintenance guy coming almost every morning, no information on how to use home appliances (e.g. washing machine only with commands in Greek), no salt, oil or anything for cooking/washing, kitchenware not well supplied, WiFi is very bad and mobile phone not working well like all over the island. You have no idea when the cleaning team is coming, we realized every two days but not clear at what time. Barbati beach is only pebbles and the village itself is in a lovely location with sea view and mountains but annoying. No where to walk as no sidewalk is available on the main street which is dangerous for pedestrians. A car is an absolute necessity even to reach the bakery nearby. The villa is located on the free beach side, umbrellas and sunbeds are not nearby. The villa is good for groups of friends but not for families with small kids as nowhere around is stroller friendly, access road to the villa is not paved, it is dusty and with pebbles. Overall I found the villa overpriced.
Brand new villa located 5 mins walking from Barbati beach, well functioning air conditioning and home appliances, parking, silent neighborhood, cleaning service frequent, nice touch to provide water, shampoo and wine upon arrival, plenty of towels.

United KingdomWhat a gorgeous place to stay. Highly recommend it. So close to a lovely beach and the quieter end with the option to go to the bars on the seafront a short walk away. Very clean. Cleaners came twice in a week. Felt very private when so close to the beach. Pool small and perfect for dips and cooking off. And even reading in the shallower part. Rooms all good. Upper floor has an amazing view with balcony overlooking the sea. Aircon. Can eat in or out. If you eat out there are wasps in general in Corfu so put something out to distract them if they bother you. It’s not the villa it’s Corfu at this time of year. Great place to stay. We loved it. Highly recommend to have somewhere that feels private but is so close to a wonderful beach with good snorkelling.

United KingdomKitchen needed a few more cooking utensils. Hand held showers, would have been nice to have a high hook to hang them from, but it didn't really matter. Would be good if they could provide a couple of dishwasher tabs and a washing up sponge and liquid!
Our flight was delayed but the owner kept us updated with where to collect the keys. Lovely tidy property with ac and small private pool with deckchairs. 3 comfortable rooms, 1 king, 1 twin and 1 double, all with ensuite shower rooms which was fab. Clean towels and sheets after 3 days. Pool/beach towels provided. Very close to beach and beach bars. Property reached via rough road which taxi drivers are not sure they want to drive down. When we left, we had to walk to the top of the track and be picked up on the main road. We booked return taxis through booking.com and they send massive minibuses for us so great if you are a larger party and need 1 vehicle for 5 or 6 people. When we arrived we had to get 2 taxis as at the airport they are only licensed for 4 people. I think we should have hired a car as it was quite a steep walk for me to get uphill for supermarket and restaurants, although the rest of the family didn't mind the walk.

United Statesit was a bit difficult to find and the road was rough getting down to it, but I guess that is to be expected. our confusion in finding the place was that there were 2 names listed and we weren’t sure if it was the right one. the staff came to pick us up and direct us to the place - which was great!!
The pool was perfect right after traveling for so long and the house is well equipment and comfortable.

We travelled as a family of 5 - the villa was perfect for us. it was exactly as it is in the pictures. We loved the inside space (important when travelling with teenagers) and it also has a garden and a few patios, so lots of room. The pool was perfect for cooling off. Amazing location, 2 mins walk to the beach (it is in the quiet end of Barbati beach) and supermarket nearby.

United KingdomThe road leading to the villa is unfinished, but this wasn’t a particular problem and certainly didn’t detract from the villa overall.
The setting and view from the garden are a clear fav. The proximity to the beach and shops is also great and the villa itself is very well appointed, clean and decorated to a high standard. The garden is well looked after and features several stunning mature olive trees (that are lit in the evening). The owner was fantastic in accommodating additional requests for baby chairs and cots. She also arranged for a transfer from the airport with a baby seat - very nice touch!

United KingdomDidn’t realise the property was split into 2 units without one good sized shared living area, sofas, dining area. Smaller unit smelt of smoke. Very minimal items in kitchen. No wall mounted showers. The road outside was not tarred and very stoney/bumpy for both cars and prams. There was no good path from end of road along beach to the town suitable for a pram. It was doable but we had to carry the pram. The alternative was the main road at the top of the stoney hill which was not ideal for a pram either. The Wi-Fi didn’t always have a good signal.
Lovely large garden and pool. Comfy beds. Quiet small town with very good restaurants.
