A great location , close to the beach and the town with a variety of restaurants and shops. A fully equipped kitchen with everything you may need. The host very generously supplied bottled water , kitchen roll and toilet roll which is unusual for an apartment as well as a daily cleaner.

Can't think of any downsides - if you don't want the walk into town then it is at the furthest end of the harbour, but that suited us as it was closer to the beach.

Villa Galanis is in the perfect location for anyone who wants a morning dip in the main town's closest beach. I started every day in the sea - just a few minutes' walk from the house. And then everything you want is only a brief stroll away. Loved the hospitality too - Tina could not do enough to make our stay perfect.

If you've never been to Symi - you probably should visit if only to experience a quite unique harbour side location and vista. Villa Galanis is situated in a fantastic position with a stunning view of the town and harbour. The villa has 3 rooms that share a terrace at the front of the property. We stayed in the slightly smaller middle room and loved it. Tina & Dave were exceptional hosts, going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. We really can't say enough about the superb way they look after their guests.

The outside area is quite small and is shared with the residents of the other two rooms. In the morning the next door restaurant who uses the adjoining room is active very early so breakfast can be at bit noisy.

The location is perfect, on the seafront but away from the very busy port of Symi. Great restaurant next door.

We loved our 5 night stay at Villa Galanis. Long before our arrival, Tina shared restaurant recommendations and taxi suggestions. Once we arrived, all our choices had been booked and put in place, making our visit so much more relaxing. Our room was sparkling clean, well set up, and blissfully quiet. Sitting out on the deck for an evening drink with the delivered ice cubes was always a lovely end of day. We enjoyed the privacy the deck afforded us, along with the opportunity to chat with guests from the other two rooms. Be assured Tina will do anything in her power to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Price is a bit steep but in all fairness, we booked it on the day we arrived. Also note that this was at the peak of the season.

Wonderful hosts! Tina is very helpful and accommodating. The family's property is well taken care of, very clean, equipped with everything you need and sits right by the water at the quieter part of Symi.

Solar water heating up . Hey it’s an island and it’s good for the environment so it’s not bad really !

Location was fabulous. Beach around the corner and a cute taverna with great food. Fabulous restaurants in walking distance. One if the best just across the road. Great host who helped with sightseeing suggestions and restaurants A walk to anything you wanted to do . Ferry to beaches, Keli strata walk and bus to monastery

it would have been even more perfect if the front wall of the property had been a little lower to allow you to see the gorgeous view when sitting down - although this did afford privacy.

Great waterfront location far enough to be quiet even when the day trippers from Rhodes arrive and close enough to be accessing the main port area by a very pretty walk. Best thing about the property is Tina, the proprietor. She is exceptionally kind and helpful - and good company.

We spent almost a week at Tina’s and David’s. It is not the kind of place where you get your key and … that’s it. Tina really wants you to enjoy your stay. She will repeatedly ask you if you are fine or need anything. One of us had a health problem. Tina promptly organised things so we could see a doctor at the health center in Horio. Rooms are kept perfectly clean by the lovely Pandora. Bottles of water as well as capsules for the Illy coffee machine are provided every day. Just excellent. Would definitely stay there again when visiting Symi.

Perfect location on the seafront along side a great selection of bars and restaurants. Beautiful patio outside the apartment for relaxing and privacy from the pathway. Fantastic hosts who looked after us so well and were very helpful with suggestions for the best trips and beaches. The nearest beach was meters away. Lovely clean appartment with everything you may need.

Symi is an excellent place to visit unique in style and character. Villa Gallanis complements that and is located with a view over the harbour entrance that is excellent. The apartment was well furnished and equipped and ideal for our needs. Several restaurants around in close walking proximity. The welcome from the hosts was first class, Tina and Dave were very friendly and accommodating and checking our needs regularly. Pandora the cleaner was a lovely and helpful person. Can't fault it.
