Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesNo cushions in the balcony chairs. When I went to the front desk to ask about this, the man told me to look in the closet in the room. I did. No cushions. So I went back to the front desk to tell him. He scowled and got in the phone. A person from housekeeping came to the room AND LOOKED IN THE CLOSET. Yes, really, there were no cushions. She brought some, but, honestly, being disbelieved over something so obvious does not feel like first class service. Also, the air conditioning was hard to figure out, and the room was always cold.
Good breakfast. Convenient location. Bathtub! Balcony. Lovely to have a Bespresso machine and not just instant coffee in the room.

United StatesExiting the elevators on any floor and the area is very nice, just like the lobby, but as soon as you go around the corner you are met with 20 year old carpeting. The room we had was very cramped for a corner suite. The beds are very firm, which I don't really care for. The furnishings in the room are also very old. It was just a surprise to go from that beautiful lobby to the old looking tiny room. Also, our room was supposed to have a partial view of the Acropolis but it was blocked by other buildings. Fortunately the view from the 11th floor restaurant made up for any shortcomings. If you rent a car, be ready for some walk time from your room to the car as you need to leave the hotel and go to the back street, enter the parking garage then go down to the 3rd or 4th level where you have to park.
The lobby is beautiful, staff speaks English if you need it and they are very helpful with any questions. The view from the restaurant on the top floor is terrific to see the Acropolis, day and night. Breakfast has a large variety of items to choose from, so everything is great top and bottom.

SerbiaThe room was so small! They said that we got the superior room as a free upgrade, but it looked the same in the pictures as the one we've booked on Booking, even smaller. So we didn't understand the upgrade. I suppose, they have even worse rooms, but these are not shown in pictures. We had tween bads that were mowing and separating all the time. And the worst thing was the toilet, which was so small that it was hard to go in and out of it.
The stuff was very friendly, as always in Greece. Location was just perfect, close enough from the center, but away from all the noise. The view from the restaurant on the top was pretty cool.
