Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustriaThe breakfast was OK, but not really up to the standard of a hotel like this. The hotel is expensive by comparison with similar hotels in the rest of Europe; but not really by comparison with central Athens hotels, which are highly priced.
The rooms are beautifully designed, comfortable and quiet. Desk staff were friendly and helpful. The location in Kolonaki is perfect. Staff in the breakfast room were charming and helpful. The restaurant on the ground floor is very good.

The Social was a great place to stay in terms of location and facilities. It’s a lovely boutique hotel. There weren’t any views to speak of but the rooms, staff were top notch.

The hotel has a great location - easy to get to main tourist sights on foot. All the staff were great, very nice and helpful. The rooms are small but they have everything necessary- the beds are comfy and pillows were great. It is very quiet as well which makes for a good night sleep.

United KingdomThey are currently renovating the hotel bar/restaurant; not really a downside (especially as you can have breakfast a few doors down, and there is a great coffee shop a block away), but will be even better once it's re-opened!
We loved our terrace room - beautifully designed, lots of room, separate seating/TV area, large bathroom, and everything was clean, comfortable and convenient. It was great to have the terrace to enjoy a coffee in the morning sunshine. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It's also a great location; away from the hectic tourist hustle and bustle, but just a 10 minute walk from all the action. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is amazing and in central Athens, everything you could need is a few minutes walk away. My favorite bit is probably the elevator. The staff were amazing! Karolina and Elena were so sweet and helpful, they always gave us good recommendations when asked. In this stay we even got a room upgrade!

AustraliaThe lighting over the table we were sitting at for breakfast (closest to the entrance) could have been better. It was a bit too dark for me. Otherwise the breakfast selection was good.
The location was excellent - it was central and within walking distance to syntagma and the area beyond monastiraki & plaka) and the beautiful kolonaki area. The staff were pleasant and eager to assist. The rooms were clean and incredible with a separate sitting TV/work area to the bedroom which I have always preferred when traveling with my husband (who did not happen to be with me on this occasion) but is ideal for working/checking emails in an area not in the bedroom. The bed was most comfortable. The terrace room my parents were in was exceptional with excellent views of Lycabettus Hill. The price was very reasonable and moving forward this will be my choice of stay when in Athens.

South AfricaThe gym is very very small and the equipment is not the normal gym equipment. I did not work out here because of this. If there was a normal treadmill and some additional weights etc it would have been perfect. Still too small, but ok.
Outstanding location! Quaint boutique hotel, very clean, beautifully decorated. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and the manager was really amazing. Loved her friendliness and energy! Rooms were a good size and so were the bathrooms. All facilities in the room were great!

The rooms were exactly what was needed, especially the bathroom size, and luminosity. A/C worked great while being silent. Bed was very comfortable. Room was quiet.
