Excellent location and extremely helpful staff

The shower/bathroom felt a bit dark and not that inviting. Maybe I'm being a little picky, but I didn't feel that the room and bathroom matched the quality of the roof terrace and restaurant.

Lovely friendly greeting upon arrival. Superb rooftop bar with the most amazing view. This was the absolute highlight for us. Food of a very high standard.

Piraeus is a great place to stay if you are heading to the Greek Islands the next day as we were, however we wouldn't base ourselves in that particular suburb in Athens as it is some distance to the central city.

The team at this hotel were so welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. The rooms were spacious with a great view of the harbour and the rooftop bar exceeded expectations with the quality of food and service.

The only negative was the road immediately outside the hotel was very busy and it was noisy until after midnight - mainly car exhausts and loud in car stereo systems.

The hotel was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much. Our sea view room had great views over the marina and towards the city. The bed was very comfortable and the en suite shower excellent, with lovely big towels. Also bath robes and slippers were provided. The staff team was excellent and went the extra mile; nothing was any trouble for them. The trolley bus stop was very convenient for getting around and, for football fans, the Olympiakos stadium is within walking distance.

Great location and incredible rooftop Resturant and bar with one of the best views in Athens. We were taking a ferry to the islands and this is an ideal location if you need to stay before your ferry.

Absolutely beautiful hotel! The staff was so accommodating and friendly! I can’t say enough about The Alex. I had a gorgeous view from my room, and the rooftop restaurant was awesome. Traveling alone I felt very safe and comfortable!!

The staff at this hotel are exceptionally helpful and friendly. We were greeted in the street as our taxi pulled up and our luggage was carried out - we didn't have to lift a finger. Special must be given to Dimitri who allowed us to leave our bags after check out and who organised a taxi for us to the port. The position on the top of the hill is probably the best in all of Pireas. The roof top bar and restaurant is a delight and the breakfast is very good indeed. We only stayed one night in between transfer from airport to catch the ferry the next morning and it served our purposes perfectly. One lovely touch was how they supplied my partner who is vegan with soya milk. We had written this months earlier when we made the booking and it was good to know that this had been noted and acted upon. Would highly recommend the hotel.

Very friendly staff, especially Domitris, who was very helpful even when we asked for not typical issues. We travel a lot but never experienced such a warm welcome. Perfect location, coffee available for guests. Great view from the restaurant

The staff was absolutely incredible! They were extremely accommodating and attentive! It was our honeymoon and they truly went above and beyond. We have stayed at many hotels and this is by the best hotel we have stayed in!

The roadside room was slightly noisy due to loud noises on the road.

There was nothing that we didn't like. Couldn't find any fault.

Setting was stunning and close to cruise port. Staff were second to none. They greeted us on the steps whenever they saw our taxi arrive. They couldn't do enough for us. The rooftop restaurant is absolutely beautiful and food is first class. If I ever return to Athens I will most definitely stay at The Alex. Staying at The Alex the night before our cruise and the night after our cruise...was quite simply the icing on the cake. Warmest thanks to all of the staff. Dee
