Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSofia was efficient in messaging through the site, but I didn't get to see her, only her husband, who was friendly but with very limited English. Fortunately, I didn't need to communicate with him over anything. The bathroom in room 203 is in real need of modernisation. A square bath that can only be used by squatting down in, or standing in to use the handheld shower attachment for showering, which isn't acceptable in these days of modern bathing. The plastic shower curtain is awful.
The location was great; very central and close to ferry port. Peaceful, beautiful garden with trees and greenery. The woman cleaner kept everything very clean, working in the extreme heat. Please give her a good tip when you stay.

United KingdomSlightly difficult to locate first time but it is well signposted once you find the correct road up from the port area. About 15 steps to climb in total so only a problem with a heavy case.
Location is a big plus on three fronts. It is a short walk from both port and bus station; it is is a quiet spot surrounded by large pleasant gardens and not overlooked; it is close to excellent tavernas and bars. Outside balcony overlooking gardens and also table and chairs in patio area. Clean room and towels changed most days.

RomaniaI highly recommend this guesthouse, the host waited for us to hand over the keys (we had flexible check-in/out times, which helped a lot), the guesthouse is located right in the center, but on a very quiet street, it has a beautiful garden. The room is nice, spacious, has AC (but it's cool in the room, we didn't even need to use it), nets on the windows, equipped kitchen, hot water at all times, a small outside terrace, we really didn't have any complaints.

United KingdomThere was nothing not to like - we would happily stay again.
We arrived from Skiathos by ferry and walked the short distance to the property which was fairly well signposted. The rooms are set in a pleasant garden in a quiet location handy for the main town. They are reasonably well appointed and are very much based upon traditional Greek accommodation with a small kitchen area with a fridge and hotplate. If you are looking for 5* luxury then this is not the place to stay but if you want comfortable rooms at a reasonable rate which are clean and quiet with views over the town and friendly hospitality then this is a good choice.

United KingdomEverything you need is there.
Fantastic location just a few minutes walk from the ferry port in a lovely quiet garden. A rustic apartment but with everything you need and spotlessly clean (and serviced every day). Owners and staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend. Great value for money.

NetherlandsEven though the internet reception was good, the WIFI, was very slow during the busy times of the day,and it couldn't handle the amount of people logged in.There were only 3 plugs in the room,2 of which were non grounded, and only one was next to the bed. The other 2 were in the kitchen. The TV was extremely small, almost tablet size.
It is really close to the port, but not noisy. The room was cleaned regularly, and the shower had a good pressure, which always seems to be a problem in rentals. We also received a complimentary cheese pie from the owner, which was really nice.

SlovakiaI have nothing to complain about. We absolutely loved the place.
Whenever I will visit Skopelos I will book room here. The place was perfect. Right in the center (5 min walk from the port) Sofia and her husband were very kind and helpful (we even thought we lost keys at one point and they came with spare key within minutes) The place itself was perfect, kitchen had all the basics (and a kettle) bed was big and comfy, we had AC and a gorgeous view on the bay. They clean the rooms every day so everything was always clean and fresh.

United KingdomThe WiFi didn’t work properly. The room was very basic which is understandable given the price. Communication with the hosts was a little difficult as they couldn’t really speak English (which of course we shouldn’t expect)

NetherlandsThe staff was very friendly to us when we arrived and made us feel welcome. The rooms are big enough and the airconditioning is working great. The rooms were very clean and tidy. When looking outside from the balcony you have a wonderful view at the town and the sea. The hotel is located very close to the port, the restaurants and the other facilities like car rentals and bakeries, supermarket and the pharmacy.
