Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNo fan in bathroom which meant mirrors steamed up. Window was left open on arrival but no mosquito net therefore many mosquitos in the room. Breakfast mediocre but didn't starve. Not a huge choice and food left uncovered so susceptible to flies.
Perfect location and fabulous views.Bed comfortable and plenty of storage. Staff were wonderful

GreeceLovely place, I am sure one of the best places in Skopelos town. We had a junior suite overlooking the very nice pool. Bedroom, living room and table, with a little kitchen area. Nice bathroom. Incredibly nice staff. Great location on the side of the main port. When there was no taxi available to take us to the ferry, the manager drove us himself and saved us a lot of trouble managing our big bags on foot!

NetherlandsNothing. To be honest, the interior of the room is not very modern, but this is part of the charm of this place. We would love to return!
The athmosphere of the hotel is very cosy and comfortable. Right from the start we felt very welcome! We had an upgrade to room 2, which had a fantastic seaview. The hotel is perfectly situated at the quiet end of Skopelos seafront. Only 10 mins walk to all the restaurants and terraces. Also good restaurant with unique seaview on the premises. We hadn’t realised the Mamma Mia-cast had stayed in this hotel, a bonus for my daughter, who is a big fan. Everybody went out of their way to make our stay memorable. And it was, thankyou SV-team!

We cannot say enough about how fantastic The Skopelos Village Hotel was during our stay. The staff was amazing. We were treated like family in the good way. We stayed in the House and absolutely loved it. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. The grounds are meticulously kept and they even have their own garden for fresh spices. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual and the location is perfect.

United StatesThe staff was outstanding! After having a terror night at another hotel on our honeymoon we were desperate to turn things around. This hotel did just that for us. The customer service, friendly demeanor, and the hospitality we received was simply on another level. The staff was so thrilled to show us all of their amenities and even share a small piece of their history. The rooms were clean, the pool and surrounding grounds were in impeccable standing, and the breakfast, all 10 out of 10. Although we are at the end of the season we still got to see their personal vegetable garden that they utilize in the restaurant on site. The fruit trees and landscape were absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t have felt more welcomed and relaxed. This hotel was the perfect find, to a perfect end of our honeymoon. We are still beaming from ear to ear and cannot wait to come back.

United KingdomNot much I didn't like. Only thing that could have maybe been improved was there was a lot of mildew in the shower and a bad smell would sometimes come up the drain in the bathroom floor. Neither were bad enough to complain and really wasn't too fussed about it, but was the only thing I felt could be improved on.
The location was perfect and the apartment was very comfortable and well-appointed with a gorgeous view over Chora. Glorious swimming pool, yummy breakfasts and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Easy walks into town every evening and quiet relaxing location.

United KingdomLoved this place and wanted to stay longer!!!! So pleased we chose it for our mother & daughter holiday in Skopelos. Super friendly staff, must mention George on the front desk and Ali in the restaurant who made us most welcome. Loved the relaxed vibe and we felt at home in our junior suite accommodation which was exceptionally clean. The gardens, pools and outdoor areas were beautiful and well looked after. Quiet location with spectacular views of the sea, mountains and Skopelos Town; just a leisurely and pleasant 10 minute walk into town. We’ll be back!!!
