The view from the hotel is stunning and the location allows peace & quiet, but also close enough to walk to busier locations on foot and well located as a base to tour the island. All the staff were helpful and friendly, providing local information & helped with booking tours/quads/transfers etc. Breakfast was lovely with multiple choices allowed. The pool area is great to just chill out & to look out over the Caldera and people watch as they walk past on the hike to Oia. Overall it's an excellent small family ran hotel in the most amazing location!

We had the most fabulous time. My daughter and I went for her 18th Birthday and our stay at Santorini's balcony was faultless from beginning to end. The warmest of welcomes from the fabulous staff, the room, food, cocktails and the nicest of atmospheres. The view was absolutely breathtaking and photos just don't do it justice. Do not hesitate in booking. I looked at 100s of hotels and I am just delighted we chose to stay here. Thankyou so much to all the wonderful staff for making our stay SO FABULOUS and SO VERY SPECIAL. I am eternally gratefully. It's not goodbye but until we meet again...

if go in May like we did its beautiful and sunny during the day but during the evenings it gets quite cold and very windy, take a coat and jumpers as the hotels is on the cliff it feels even colder, the rooms gets very cold and there's no heating , zero cosiness the hot tubs are useless as you'll freeze water is warm but not hot enough to get I tried and froze lol, so paying for the honey moon suite wasn't worth it, better to stay here summer time. this place villa style living rather then a hotel as there is no phones in the room to call reception you have to go down to reception and ask if you want anything and reception is closed after 11pm anyway so your on your own if you need any towels or loo roll or anything late night on a honeymoon that's not great. Breakfast was fresh and tasty but minimum choice , rooms are basic , bathroom is basic, headboard and bed linen defo need updating, definitely not 5* a 4* at best., our safe did not work while we were there, no one fixed it either so we gave up. cleaning needs to better as the dust gets so bad and the bugs from all the wind and the location.

amazing perfect views, sunsets are beautiful, great location, in the middle of Fira and oai, the walking path to Fira is amazing pictures very beautiful scenic walk, the staff and owner are very polite. Big tv was a plus for hubby.

- We had some bad luck with the weather while we were there, the temperature was only at about 23 degrees Celcius and it was really windy which is why we didn't really get to use our private plunge pool. It was heated, but it wasn't heated enough to feel comfortable in the wind (it's not a hot tub). The good news was that the common area of the hotel is much less windy than our private patio was, so we just hung out on the sun beds by the pool instead and drank some cocktails. - We felt that for the price of the place, the amenities could be maintained a little better. The room was nice but could definitely need some updates (especially the bathroom), and our outdoor furniture was dirty. - As other guests have mentioned, we just had staff walk onto our private patio randomly to clean the pool which felt a little weird given that you can look straight into the room from there.

We loved the location, the view, the staff, and the common area by the pool which is also where breakfast is served. The staff was absolutely amazing and accommodating. The location of this place was perfect for us because it's in a more secluded spot away from the crowded towns and has an amazing view that isn't blocked by any buildings but it's still close enough to the town of Imerovigli (it's a 10-15 minute walk up the hill) where you'll find a mini market, a bus stop, and countless restaurants. It's also only about a 15-minute drive into the capital of Fira, or alternatively, a 30-45 minute walk along the coast. Would absolutely recommend walking as you'll walk through beautiful, less busy parts of the island and have amazing views! We also loved how accommodating the staff was on our last day. Our flight didn't leave until 11 pm but we were still treated like guests for the whole day. We could leave our luggage with them, and hang out by the pool. Getting around the island can be challenging since the busses mainly go to the big towns and don't have a lot of in-between stops on the way (and sometimes, the busses just skip stops). The hotel worked with a driving service which was very convenient. They send us a driver that picked us up from the airport and called a car for us whenever we needed it. It's not cheap but taxis would have been about the same. We did take the bus from Fira to Akrotiri and then back to Fira and from there to Oia one day. It's only about 2 EUR per person per ride.

Fantastic, cozy hotel - the view is breathtaking. I fell in love with this special place. The hotel staff introduces a very family atmosphere. Erica and Dimitri exceed all expectations of hospitality and assistance in every way. You feel special here - wonderful place. Spotlessly clean and fragrant thanks to Luciana and the young Dimitrakhs. Always smiling Sabrina served delicious breakfasts and meals prepared by cook Athena. The hot tub it wasn't that hot as supposed to be, if you want enjoy in the night time is not so good. Windy so much and the water should be more hot, so if you want enjoy your jacuzzi need to go in the day time.

I didn’t realise the distance to the main town, we wasn’t prepared for all the walking as taxis are very expensive. There’s not a lot of shops around the hotel too so you need to be prepared with essentials.

The breakfast was delicious, the pancakes were my favourite. There could have been a bit more choice, but as a small hotel I can see why everything is cooked to order. The coffee was superb. The staff were amazing, they were friendly and super helpful. The bartender was really nice and all his drinks were delicious. Erica and Sabrina were very helpful and nice too. The views from the hotel are amazing.

In terms of improvement, we would recommend some investment in the room furnishings. For example, the mattress, pillows and especially linen could be updated and made more comfortable and attractive. The room is small which is probably normal for most locations on the island so making the small space more comfortable would help. We would have also preferred having a steam iron and regular size ironing board, instead of the small portable iron board and non-steam iron that was available.

We liked the staff of Santorini balcony most of all. They really made the stay pleasant. Dmitris was always available to help. He was even willing to wake up at all hours of the night is we needed to check out. Fortunately, our flight left at a reasonable hour, but we were impressed by his willingness to do what was necessary to make our stay enjoyable. The rest of the staff was also very friendly and helpful. Erika briefed us on the many things to do on the island and she booked us a five-hour sunset boat trip that was the highlight of our stay. It was a small boat with only eight people on board that gave us a tour, allowed for swimming and set us up to view a spectacular and romantic sunset. Sabrina was also there greeting us every morning for breakfast with a smile and was very helpful if we needed something. All in all, the strongest point of the hotel was the staff – simply great. I would add that location could be a plus depending on your preferences. All the pictures of Santorini show the white houses and blue church tops located in Oia or Thera so upon arrival that is the view we were expecting. We didn’t realize that most of the island looks like a typical Mediterranean island with rock and sand so at first we were disappointed. Santorini Balcony has a great view of the Caldera but it is too far to see the detail of Oia. However, during our weeklong stay we realized some advantages to the location. Santorini Balcony is on the outskirts of Imerovigli so you have to walk up the hill into the town to eat at most of the restaurants, but it is not bad and it is all downhill coming back. Initially we thought it would be much better to stay in Oia with its view, however, unless your room there is secluded there is not a lot of privacy with the throngs of tourists from the cruise ships walking around. That can significantly raise the cost of one’s stay. The quietness of Santorini was more appreciated as the week went on.
