Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaA little isolated for the last 400m when walking home from the Port - especially at night. Would take a taxi at night next time.
The well kept grounds and views of the harbour, the pool, comfortable bed, the balcony, very accommodating & helpful host.

IrelandThe only thing I would mention is the shower as there was no curtain/window so the water falls outside of the shower.
Nice, quiet hotel only 5 minute drive from the main Paros port and town. There is also a nice beach only 5 minute walk from the hotel, the woman in the reception recommended it to us and we loved it. We loved the pool and the views, it’s a very nice atmosphere and peaceful place to relax. The young guy serving drinks in the pool bar was friendly and polite and recommended us a few places to go out in Paros. We definitely recommend the hotel :)

United KingdomEfi and Babis made us feel very welcome. The grounds and views from the hotel are delightful, and there is a nice pool with a bar, sunbeds around to use and other comfy seats. The beach is a short walk away, it is good for swimming and there are a number of tavernas. It was a nice walk along the beach to Paroikia town (about 25 min leisurely). Lots of facilities in town and ferry connections. We used the KTEL buses extensively, which ran a good timetable and were very cheap.

AustraliaEverything was perfect at Roses Beach hotel, I could not fault the facilities or any part of our stay there. My one disappointment related to the beaches and the amount of rubbish and plastic that found its way into the water. I hope that people in general will start to be more aware of the environment and not leave their rubbish on the beach and that local municipalities will support by providing more bins for people to throw their trash into.
Roses Beach is situated a short a walk outside the town of Parikia with fabulous views of the habour. It is set within a large garden area, including an infinity pool and walkup bar. It is a beautiful setting to relax in whilst having breakfast or after a long day of sightseeing. Our host Effie was very warm and welcoming and gave us lots of tips on places to eat, sights and beaches to visit. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and I would go back again

United StatesThe shower was hilariously tiny, so the bathroom got all wet after the shower. That being said, not even close to a showstopper, and frankly just a tiny bit inconvenient.
A beautiful, scenic hotel that overlooks the harbor. We loved the beach-facing balcony, the sparkling clean pool, carefully manicured grounds, and delicious breakfast. The proprietors were great - warm, welcoming, and helpful. The bed was so comfortable!

United StatesThe only slight downside was the room. It was very small and basic. The beds (my friend and I requested the room with 2 twins) were wonderfully comfortable, however. The bathroom was very small, and a bit challenging to shower as there was no curtain nor shower door. I have traveled where there were bathrooms like this in the past, so I was able to make it work. The view from our room balcony was beautiful and there was a room frig so we bought a bottle of wine and were able to keep it chilled and enjoy some evening wine on our wonderful balcony. Effie did say they would likely be expanding the size of several of their smaller rooms in the coming year, including ours.
The property and views are spectacular and the owners--Effie and Babiz--were wonderful people--so very helpful and accessible and quick to address any questions about accommodations and the logistics of getting around Paros. It is a quiet property but easily to accessible on foot to the bustling port of which we had a spectacular view from our balcony in the distance. We are big walkers, though, so if you're not, it could be a little challenging without transport. Babiz told us about a path that quickly gets you off the road for your walk to the harbor along a lovely beachfront. As for the actual property--it was beautiful with a lot of thought put into the stone work and the plantings and the beautiful pool that looks out at the Mediterranean--all were really thoughtful and really very aesthetically creative.

The location, very clean, the pool, the view and breakfast buffet 😍 everything was perfect. Special thanks to Effie for being very approachable, helpful and kind. You made our honeymoon special and we are forever grateful! Special note: best to book a car or buggy once you come off the ferry! Can pack your luggage in the vehicle and go to the hotel settle in and then explore the island 😍

New ZealandWe absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous family-run hotel. The location is amazing- a 15 minute walk from Parikia town, but completely worth it for the beautiful views and the peaceful atmosphere. The hotel has a spectacular pool and garden area, including a bar so that you can enjoy a cocktail by the pool. We found our room very comfortable, exceptionally clean and we loved waking up every morning to the beautiful sea views from our window. There was a great selection for breakfast including lovely fresh breads, fruits and yogurt. The owners were so friendly and welcoming and they take great care to make sure their guests are comfortable and have everything they need. We felt so relaxed and at home here, we just wish we could have stayed longer! I hope we can return one day, thank you so much for a wonderful stay in Paros!

AustraliaNot much to be upset about! If you don’t like walking hire an ATV (in advance) or a car! But we really enjoyed the walk!
A seriously beautiful property just outside of Parikia. Effie was absolutely lovely and accomodating! We walked into town every day for a bit of exercise and it was only a 20 min walk with some lovely restaurants along the way! We really liked Ephesus! But EVEN BETTER was Yemeni wine restaurant in Naousa (make sure you book in) potentially the best meal we’ve EVER had you must get the cheese pie!!! Anyway, more about THIS property (oops) the breakfast was lovely and fresh and the pool was divine !
