The hotel location was perfect, every facility the hotel offered was not only beautiful but incredibly well kept and clean. We didn’t have to worry about anything while we were at there hotel. The staff took great care of us the entire stay.

We really liked the hotel. You can see the attention to detail in this hotel. Dimitris and his team create an atmosphere that is personal and makes you feel immediately welcome. In addition, Dimitris, the owner, supported us with lots of tips and recommendations around the island and was always super accommodating. This made our holiday even more special. The hotel is also in a great location. It's only a few steps to the beautiful old town of Chora, whose charm made us feel like we were in paradise. Despite the proximity to the old town, which is lively in the evenings, the hotel offers great peace and quiet where you can relax. The Polikandia Hotel is a MUST when you come to Folegandros :). Thank you for a wonderful time.

The WiFi didn’t stay connected, so had to log in again each time we used it.

We loved the beautiful pool area and appreciated that you could order drinks onsite. It was only a short 2-3 minute walk into town to access many more food and drink options. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, and had a patio area with direct access to the pool. Wish we could have had stayed longer, but maybe will be back someday!

The grounds were beautiful. The resort/hotel was in excellent condition, rooms well sized for the island. Staff very attentive, always available, and wanted to please their guests. Great choice for Folegrandos.

Beautiful property & rooms in the classic Cycladic Greek style, super convenient central location, and a wonderfully helpful staff! Although you will probably do most of your swimming at one of the many beaches on the island, the hotel pool is a wonderful place to sit and spend and afternoon reading if the beaches are too windy. Our room had private terrace with a wonderful view of the Church of Panagia!

Far and away the best place to stay in Folegandros. We loved the pool surrounded by bougainvillea. The room was perfect in every way. There is also a great social atmosphere among the guests. The service and the hospitality are wonderful, we even benefitted from a room upgrade and surprise gifts of wine and fruit!

Polikandia is a hotel with A LOT of character; I'm not sure how to describe its style but 'theatrical Cycladic rusticana' might be a fair bet. It is a unique hotel on the island with most others opting for a kind of pared-back, more minimalist Greek 'island-style'. The hotel is excellently situated in the Chora, literally around the corner from the main square and a few footsteps from a spectacular viewpoint over the sea. The pool area is draped with vibrant bougainvilleas, and come evening, bathed in dramatic aquamarine lights. Subtle it isn't, one might even say it borders on the kitsch. But these old school charms aside, it is run with military precision by what would appear to be a family operation. Everything is scrupulously clean and well-maintained. The rooms have a quaint luxuriousness, are textured and personalised with Greek tchotchkes. It definitely has a sense of romance to it and feels like it would particularly suit couples.

Great views of the Church of Panagia and ideally located, only 2 minutes walk to restaurants cafes and shops and the hill walk up to the Church. Our room had a great, spacious veranda with loungers and chairs and table. The pool area is beautiful and well tended to by the staff.

There’s absolutely nothing I can criticise.

Perfect location to the centre, the rooms have so much charm, the pool area is great and the staff are so helpful and calming. We visited as part of a trip of three islands and this hotel and Folegandros were our favourite - by a country mile!
